This is the best demonstration I have found so far. The manual drives me mad. Lovely and quiet machine compared to the Samsung washer/dryer I have replaced with the Boasch.
Although the cupboard death is 67cm, the washing machine is out of it by over 8cm, the service men said it the pipes! I had Busch as well before and it did fit perfectly !
Firstly congrats on a very well explained video. We bought this machine to update our old Bosch of about 30 years old which my wife swears did a better job. THe problem she has is that the alot of the clothes now come out covered in very fine fluff. Could this be down to the reduced water usgae on modern machines, Also she says there is no possibility of programming the machine top start at a preset hour which I find hard to understand. Anyway many thanks for the vid and eagerly await your comments. c
It does sound odd that everything is coming out with fine fluff on it. Its the first time i've heard of this. This has a time delay option which will enable you to delay the start of the program by up to 24 hours
Thank you for the wonderful talk through, you helped me select the model best suited for my needs.!! I knew I was going to buy a Bosch, just didn't know which one.Thank you again.
Excellent video and explanations. I have one question, how do you activate the end of wash programme buzzer to indicate the programme has finished. Many thanks.
Very good demonstration of the product. Nice information to take in. One question, while we will use only dry cycle(like, gentle dry or intensive dry or my time dry), hope no washing liquid require to put, please suggest?
Great Demo, glad I saw this before using my new Bosch Washing Machine. Quick question- How do we decide the washing load? I know there are directions about what is included in 8kgs wash. Does the machine tells if the machine is overloaded ?
Thank you for the very useful video. I got this machine recently and I was wondering if there is a lint trap that needs to be emptied for the dryer to work properly? I can't seem to find one. Thank you!
Hai Iam looking forward to buy this wash/dryer bosch machine. My doubt is will it dry and give full so that i can fold my clothes and keep it in my wardrobe. Pls give me feedback.
Can you explain the ‘before washing for the first time’ instruction please. Why is it necessary to use such a high temp programme and why do I need to add litre of water into dispenser I?
It is recommended to use a high temperature wash to start with to clean the machine out to start with as it may have been sat in a warehouse for months so at least it will be nice and fresh from when you start to use the machine.
Does the machine weigh the load otherwise it is quite difficult determining weight of washing apart from weighing on a set of scales which need to be large enough for the washing basket?
Great video - thanks .. I just bought this machine and it comes with a "aqua-stop" or "aqua-secure" fitting (not sure of the difference). I asked them in the store where I bought it (Currys) if this has to be fitted vertically and they assured me that it does not. However, reading the manual (yes, I read the manual), it says that it should indeed be installed vertiaclly, but this is not possible on my plumbing outlet. Do you think the machine is OK to use if I just use a regular hose without this "aqua-something" gizmo, or just go ahead and install it horizontally ? Thanks
From my understanding it will still work fine but you just wouldn't get the protection it offers by having it installed horizontally, if the inner hose ever did leak then the float system may not work, my issue was that the aqua hoses can not be extended so I just used a standard hose which is absolutely fine, I have never had a hose leak to be honest so I wasn't overly concerned.
@@Stu81 I went with the old hose from my 30-year old machine, which has never leaked or split yet and looks fine, so seems like fairly low risk :) I doubt that the new machine will last that long though !
When they say 5 or 8 kilograms... do they mean dry or wet? I mean... 8kgs of tshirts... that's a massive amount of shirts. But wet.... well, then you get there quite quick. Maybe half a drum full. And how long does a Bosch washer/dryer combo like this survive compared to just a normal bosch washer? What are the things that mostly fail in these machines?
Normally after a cycle has finished there is a 1-2 minute door lock that stops the door from opening. It may be that you have tried to open the door within that time frame?
It all depends on what cycle to wash you choose. Cotton will use intensive dry, sport, mix, easy care will use gentle drying. Mytime dry is also high heat 😊
Trying to decide which washer dryer to get and it's doing my head in. I just want a machine that can wash all sorts of materials in one go and get them totally dry afterwards.....and this seems like a little too much to ask. I never separate things such as colours, materials, whatever, because life's too short to do all that nonsense. I used to be able to do this easily with older machines, but it seems those days are gone. Now I get a choice of about 50 different programs and settings which, in my humble opinion, are just completely unnecessary. My old Colston washer dryer was just brilliant and went on for years, but I don't have a clue what to get now.
Good point, it is very difficult to choose a machine. I would first of all have a look at your budget, then load capacity you require and from then it should hopefully narrow it down a bit for you.
I know Hoover's not the best quality but their drying side of their washer dryers are the best on the market that I've used. I have the siemens 9kg version of this machine and it doesn't dry completely very disappointing. I'd like to have a miele next
Does sound odd, i would check to make sure the drain outlet is not blocked. If it is then the water cannot exit properly and will not spin and drain properly.
Which is the program for washing at 90c. I have a wna13400by model and when I put the cottons program on, it selects the option at 40c and does not give the option for 60 or 90c?
Hi, Is there a time delay after starting a programme such as Cottons or mixed load, between pressing start and water entering machine? You hear water straight away on 15 minute cycle. Only just installed so don't know if a problem? Thanks
Hello. Does anyone know the size of the porthole on the 9kg model? is it the same as the 8kg or bigger? I have a 9kg hotpoint washer and the porthole is 35cm. Thank you.
Oh dear, that doesnt sound good. Make sure the transit bolts are removed properly, if they are not it will damage the machine and won't be covered by the warranty too.
I too had this problem. In fact the machine moved out about 20”! There is a ‘bolt’ shaped lump on the side panel now. The noise was incredible. I bought and had the machine fitted by John Lewis only a week ago so tomorrow when the New Year holiday is over I’ll be phoning them.
5 hours and 45 minutes - the joke is on you! It’s quicker just to hand wash your clothes, squeeze them and dry them on your radiator in less than half the time - plus you can watch a movie and cook dinner too. This is one of the worst designed machines in the history of badly designed machines.
i do understand what you are saying, but unless you have a lot of washing to do then the time doesn't matter too much as you don't sit and watch the machine wash and dry the clothes. I do agree, nearly 6 hours for the process is too long 👍
Can't believe I watched this whole video. Your voice is so calm and soothing. Thanks.
Thanks very much 😀
Very useful, thank you for posting. I found the manual quite mysterious when I attempted to use it.
Very helpful. So clearly explained - nice to see a demo from someone who obviously knows his subject.
A very helpful video by the pleasant gentleman, which added considerably to the paper manual.
This is the best demonstration I have found so far. The manual drives me mad. Lovely and quiet machine compared to the Samsung washer/dryer I have replaced with the Boasch.
Watching this is way better than the manual, and kept my attention until the end. Thank you. Off to start using my new machine now!
That's great to hear, thanks for the feedback Emma

Great explanation of the machine. Now it makes sense I feel better about using mine. Thanks for your help.

Great demo and very well explained. Glad I saw this before starting my machine in my new home. Thank you so much!
I like the way you explain all and show in simple form . Very good👍👍Thank you for showing this video
No problem glad it was helpful for you. 😊
That is correct that if you are only using a drying cycle, then you would not need to use any detergent.
Great Demo, glad I saw this before using my new Bosch Washing Machine. Quick question- How do we decide the washing load? I know there are directions about what is included in 8kgs wash. Does the machine tells if the machine is overloaded ?
I would also like this question answered please.
Thank you for the very useful video. I got this machine recently and I was wondering if there is a lint trap that needs to be emptied for the dryer to work properly? I can't seem to find one. Thank you!
These machines don't need a lint filter, it is only a standard dryer that would need a filter that needs cleaning
Extremely helpful 😊 thanks.
Extremely helpful as I bought WNA14400 6 series which are similar , thank you!
Hai Iam looking forward to buy this wash/dryer bosch machine. My doubt is will it dry and give full so that i can fold my clothes and keep it in my wardrobe. Pls give me feedback.
Yes there are settings on the dryer so that you can take the clothes out straight away and put them away.
Thank you & so much easier than the manual, watched until the end xx
Glad it was useful for you, thanks for the kind feedback 😊
Hi is there a place to remove the fluff/lint like on standard tumble dryer? Thanks
Again please answer this as it’s a bit of a niggle.
Sometimes l cannot open the door, trial and error happens then l don’t know what l have done. Advise would be appreciated. Malton Yorkshire

Does the machine weigh the load otherwise it is quite difficult determining weight of washing apart from weighing on a set of scales which need to be large enough for the washing basket?
It doesn't actually weigh the clothes, you are correct that it is difficult to weigh them accurately without overloading
If I put 8kg would I be able to open the door to off load it before drying program kicks in? Or I have to do 5kg right from the beginning ?
If you are selecting a wash and dry program then you will need to put 5kg in from the start
Great video - thanks ..

I have this washer dryer but not sure if it has a fluff remover programme it wasn’t covered in your video. TIA
After a drying cycle do you have empty the water away down the bottom where the filter is?
No all of the water exits through the waste hose of the washing machine
Thank you for the video : ) really answered some questions I had!
Great to hear this was helpful for you. Thanks for the feedback 😊

How do I get the door open after a gentle dry? Have mercy on me, I lost my wife recently and I’m a newbie to washing machines
Normally after a cycle has finished there is a 1-2 minute door lock that stops the door from opening. It may be that you have tried to open the door within that time frame?
Is there a lint catch in this model? My dryer has essentially stopped drying after running multiple times on the same load and I can’t work out why
Thank you very useful 😀
Hey, great overview.
with combined washing and drying program, is it possible to select gentle or intensive dry?
or how is this managed?
It all depends on what cycle to wash you choose. Cotton will use intensive dry, sport, mix, easy care will use gentle drying. Mytime dry is also high heat 😊

I have this machine. Thanks for explaining!
No problem glad it was helpful for you
Very good and informative.
Glad this was helpful for you. Thanks for the feedback
Which program do you use for waterproof rubber jackets ? Even Shoes
Extremely helpful, thank you!
Hi: Can you use dryer sheet in this machine when use dryer? Thank you.
Is this model better than samsung WD80TA046BX? Which one would you recommend?
there is a question i need to know andy wonder can you help on the dryer does it have a lint filter and where does the air escape when its in use
These don't normally have a lint filter built in like a separate dryer would do.
@@lords-electrical thanks just need to know the basics to maintain my new machine
We've just purchased this machine but it wont spin & drain, why? 🤔 advice would be appreciated!
Does sound odd, i would check to make sure the drain outlet is not blocked. If it is then the water cannot exit properly and will not spin and drain properly.

Where does the water collect when drying the clothes as it does need emptying
The water is sent out via the waste hose that all of the water goes out of rather than having a separate vent hose like other tumble dryers have.
Hi,
Is there a time delay after starting a programme such as Cottons or mixed load, between pressing start and water entering machine? You hear water straight away on 15 minute cycle. Only just installed so don't know if a problem? Thanks
Not normally much of a delay, if it is working ok on the 15 minute cycle, then the machine and plumbing should be ok.
I believe WNA13401PL is the same thing. Down to millimeter and a letter in the manual.
It will more than likely be the same model, but could be for a different country.
Very useful video😊
"Not everyone has a full load all the time" I would have been giggling reading that one out 🤣
Hello. Does anyone know the size of the porthole on the 9kg model? is it the same as the 8kg or bigger? I have a 9kg hotpoint washer and the porthole is 35cm. Thank you.
I tried the 1400 spin for towels and it has shaken my entire worktop and I got scared. it manages to move out from its place. 🤦🏼♀️
Oh dear, that doesnt sound good. Make sure the transit bolts are removed properly, if they are not it will damage the machine and won't be covered by the warranty too.
Is the machine totally level and with all feet adjusted so they sit firmly on the floor?

What is the spin and washing DBs on this machine
The main db rating that is published now is the spinning as it will be the loudest and on this machine it is 70db
Just had a symbol come up on mine that has a circle with 2 water droplets next to it does anyone know what this means I can’t find it anywhere online
Well explained
So it doesn’t weigh the clothes…the kg is the program acceptable load and not the washing load
Is it quite
