- My 8 year old granddaughters first time listening to You Should Be Dancing by The Bee Gees.
Lilly seems to enjoy listening to old songs, and I'm on a mission to show her loads of them
I love that Andy is included in this video - and he was simply amazing on his own in addition to his celebrity brothers!! : -)
The first time I heard the Bee Gees was when I was in Vietnam in 1968-69 and 70. They are one of my favorites thank you

A great vid. I hope Lilly never tires of grandads music treats. Bee Gees are my favourite band and loved Andy. So tragic 3 of the 4 are now passed. But what a legacy they left behind.

Nice to be the first commenter, really good song, I think it was from the movie Saturday Night Fever, I could be wrong though, sadly Andy Gibb, took his life a few years later
The concert footage is from their Spirits Having Flown Tour in 1979....the group watching John Travolta dance is from Saturday Night Fever movie🎼. Andy didn't take his own life, but passed away in 1988 at the age of 30 from myocarditis.
Andy did not take his own life. He died of an underlying heart condition. At his time of death no illegal substances were found in his system.
It seems that you like music with an upbeat, sir, have Lilly listen to Creedence Clearwater Revival, with songs like..Proud Mary, Down on the Corner, Bad Moon Rising, Who’ll Stop the Rain, Born on the Bayou…great songs!
I like all sorts of music Philip, but I feel that at 8 years old, Lilly might prefer something that moves along a bit. Which is why out of all the Carpenters songs I could have shown her, I chose Jambalaya.
Having said that, I introduced her to a song by Fats Domino called Walking To New Orleans, and she seemed to quite like that.
I agree with Lilly again ... I would just give it a good. There were some good tunes but I really didn't care for the disco era. I don't dance ... I pretty much refuse too! LOL!
How about Lilly watches Gummy Bears cartoon?
I imagine Lilly has seen it many times, I do know that my very young grandchildren are always asking me to play the gummy bear song for them on You Tube, and so to be totally honest, if I ever hear it again it will be too soon, that and that Baby Shark song. 😄
