The song he made with Kiki Dee in 1976 was a good one too. Always reminds me of the summer of that year.

I was in San Francisco 3 years ago for an old friend of mines funeral. Totally changed place now. An absolute drug infested hellhole full of homeless desperate people. Terrible.

The older you get, the harder this song hits. In my case, can't listen to it without tears since my father passed away.

You can tell when Lilly genuinely enjoys a song and this was one of them classic bopping Lilly one of my favourites from the sixties.

Another excellent one from The Crickets was "Please Don't Ever Change". (Sometimes it's also known as "As Sweet As You Are")

The original was by a chap called Gershon Kingsley, which is also worth listening to.

"Goodbye Stranger" is another of theirs that would be a blast to react to - it probably contains the greatest play out guitar solo of all time; go Roger Hodgson for that!

Another excellent The Move song was "Curly". But be careful, don't hear the "Be-dum, be-dum" line as that. It makes a lot more sense as "Be done, be done, be done".

Green River by CCR is good:- and Porterville, also by them, actually includes a classical quote in the guitar, which is the last thing you'd expect CCR to do!

I''ve been thinking for a while that our channel has gone way past it's sell by date, and the channel analytics in recent months have shown us that there is now very little interest in what we are doing. I decided that we should quit while we were ahead and make this video our last one, always aware of the fact that we now have 250 videos for Lilly to look back on in future years, and of course that, and the fact that Lilly wanted to be on TH-cam, is the reason we made them in the first place. Any views we got were a nice bonus, especially when they were accompanied by positive comments. I recently told Lilly that our TH-cam adventure was now over, but of course she said she still wants to make more videos. So this is what I've decided to do, over the next few months, I will still make videos with Lilly, but we're not going to rush them just to make sure we have something to upload every week. Our appearances will now be very limited for the next few months, but hopefully it will give us time to build a collection of videos that we can then upload more regularly in 2025. We want to thank everybody who has supported our channel, and we hope that this break won't cause you to unsubscribe and forget we were ever here. 😄😄

I grew up with Herman's Hermits, and the British invasion. But there is one artist that is overlooked, named Wayne Fontana. The song is 'Pamela, Pamela'. I recently listened to a AI version, with him singing. This came out in the 1960's. I thought you may want to hear this, and your reaction!

What an inspired song choice for young ears to listen to.

A very favorite group of mine since I 1st heard on the radio :) It's easy to tell recordings from live performances. I saw a doc on their recording production....Wow they spent a ton of time producing their songs including vocal dubbing 2 to 3 times over the same voice to make it sound fuller.....I really liked Abbas bass......That constant boom...I always cranked it in the car. I love 95% of their tunes....so many are timeless...

Some more ABBA for Lilly, at last! When ABBA became famous during their Australian tour around 1976, when I turned 10, they were all the rage. The rage being comprised of; those who loved them, those who loved to hate them, and those who loved to hate those who loved them! Today, I look upon ABBA with a different and renewed fondness and appreciation. They are timeless. They are one of few groups for which I, still, love many of their songs, equal to The Beatles.

Born a metalhead, I'll die a metalhead - I dig ABBA a lot. There's a cracking version of S.O.S. by Portishead for the film... High Rise - whih is also excellent and that Alan Partridge ABBA medley is comedy gold.

Yes vocals sound live . This is one of their earlier songs . My favourite of the early songs is RING RING their first hit after WATERLOO . I don't think you have shown her RING RING . Cheers . 😀

I googled for "abba seaside special". Apparently it's a BBC recording from 1975, made at Clennon Valley in Paignton.
