- Welcome to “Fantasmic! A Backyard Nighttime Spectacular!”
This show has been brought to you by “The Magic Trailer.” We are group of creative hobbyist who during the downtime of Quarantine, took to our Backyard and for the next year and half brought to life a show that many Disney Theme Park goers and lovers miss dearly (us included).
This project tested our creative skills in the best
way possible. From the art of puppetry, lighting and special effects programming, projection mapping, costuming, set design, the list goes on!
What also makes this production interesting is that it is only being performed by 3 individuals. So you will see that this version is a bit different but still follows the same iconic story line of Mickey Mouse’s imagination gone awry thanks to a team of sinister villains.
The audience you hear in the background are made up of family, friends, and neighbors who stopped by to show support. All visitors were socially distanced while experiencing the show.
This performance is from the Facebook Live Stream on September 6th, 2021 at 8:30 p.m.
Imagination is defined as: using dreams & creativity to make the world extraordinary!
…and that’s what we hope folks take away from this…don’t let something like quarantining ever stop you from dreaming fantastic dreams because you never know...you could end up creating something amazing that will make others smile. And that’s what it’s all about.
“Fantasmic! A Backyard Nighttime Spectacular” is inspired by the long running nighttime show at the Disney Parks. The Disney characters seen in tonight‘s presentation are copyrights of the Walt Disney Company. This is a fan-made production made solely for entertainment purposes and not for any profit or commercial use.
My jaw was on the ground at how perfect this was. Each scene delivered a new surprise and left me with tears in my eyes! This was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!!
This proves that quarantine and the pandemic can't stop us from imagination.
As a former original cast member of the Walt Disney Word nighttime show “SpectroMagic” parade and stilt dancer in the daytime parades, and former Disney Magician, I want to commend each and every single performer, tech, costume, crew and pyrotech🧨 a wonder job! I was truly blown away! This was outstanding. Thank you for bringing the Disney magic 🪄 to all of us. Bravo! 👏 👏 👏 ❤️

As someone who loves Fantasmic, this is honestly one of the most faithful fan creations I have ever seen. I was totally surprised by the use of puppets, and I was speechless about the dragon. I couldn't even imagine someone doing this kind of thing during quarantine, but you guys actually did it, and you guys are amazing!

I watched this live in person and it was incredible!!! It was the true essence of Disney and they made it their own at the same time! I was incredibly shocked and excited! I just returned from Disney world and this belongs there! Disney wolrd needs to have this is their parks as a show!!!

Our Corgi has been living in my dropped jaw for days. My chin crashed to the floor at least 10 times during this spectacular wonder; the skin has carpet burns now.

I really love your puppets of Mickey and the Dragon. The smoke and light effects were also excellent! This show deserves more views for your group has worked hard to put this together for our entertainment.

I did not know what to expect when this was suggested to me. But holy cow. As the show went on, the amount of talent, creativity and amazingness increased. This was brilliant. I can’t imagine what you could do with a bigger stage and a larger budget. Please don’t keep us hanging too long for your next project. You have some amazing talent in your hands and an opportunity to live out an amazing adventure.

This made me so happy. It made me actually tear up. In high school I made a windows movie maker Fantasmic video for my mom (and rest of family) using pictures and videos over the years. I had the pictures and videos set perfect with the music and she was so happy she cried. This brought back that same memory and feeling. After the past over a year now it made me smile seeing something like this. Showing there’s still good in the world doing something purely for the happiness of others you invited to watch. Wish could have been part of it too knowing everyone must have had huge smiles. Keep up this great work!

Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated by this show. It always amazed me. From the lighting, pyrotechnics, music, and everything else. I would imagine the music in my mind as I sprayed a garden hose in the air, and would dream of being a tech in the show. My older brother sent me a home video he'd shot on VHS (ugh, I'm definitely old) when I no longer living in L.A. I wore that tape out. Now, obviously you can easily see the show in full HD, from multiple angles, any time you wish. All thanks to TH-cam. Believe me, I have. But this video took me back to the days when I was younger, and dreamed of doing something just like this. Idk who made this. But you have my sincere "thank you" for creating such a wonderful fan performance. It really is wonderful.
