Lighting design, A+ , water show A+, pyrotechnics made no sense off to the side. Over all, I have to check myself into jelly school for people who are jealous! Well done!!!
Travis Bell thanks! Little back story. It's Fourth of July and it's my daughters birthday. We always do some fireworks so people would come celebrate the birthday and not completely miss the traditional fire works shows. As for being off to the side... it was that or catch the tent on fire lol
For those asking for behind the scenes, I will try to get some footage of how it was all made but I didn't record the process. I will also provide information on lighting and water pumps. Thanks for all the kind messages Tim
Dude. I had the same idea to do something similar for my family and was surprised to find this video! You gave me some great ideas to add to my show ideas! Thanks!
This is *INCREDIBLE* I love it when people make a homemade DisneyLand and most of the time they absolutely nail it, well done you’re a genius this video deserves so many more views than it has
This was AMAZING. As a HUGE fan of Disney World this was super actorite and was really close to the show on a smaller scale! I hope your daughter had a wonderful birthday. Wonderful Job!
Hey everyone, thanks for the nice comments. We purchased the lights from China. They are a submersible light with a DMX feature and require a power source and lighting software to control. There are lasers, fog machines and moving spot lights in the show as well. These were all Chauvet lighting and can be purchased at any guitar center. The pumps are a dirty water submersible pump. We used a dimmer pack controlled by the same lighting software to control the height of the water. We attached the pumps to a wooden 2x6 framed "boat" and they stayed afloat. This is my wife's TH-cam account so please forgive the crazy delayed response! Feel free to ask us anything.
you should also get this for the fire works www.amazon.com/dp/B00RIXYIDM/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3MEAXKBR53CBR&coliid=IV5PK1GTH1PFZ
I would get regular fog machine from Guitar Center ($30-40.), or just do dry ice with some fans.. I was really surprised at how good this was, lol! So good I was really expecting to see what you did for the dragon, lol.. Also, instead of the steamboat, how bout' you surprise them by coming out dressed as Mickey at the end?? Great! :)
synthia I think the budget is really up to you. I used submersible pumps and led lights to create the water feature. There are tons of ways to go about doing the water. I used one pump and one light for one effect. But you can use one pump and a lager light and have many more fountains shoot up. It all depends on how you want it to look. China is the best place to to this on a budget. The US does sale submersible led, DMX controlled lights but they are very expensive. As for the submersible pumps, Amazon! :) The other lighting was lighting i accumulated over time. It does get expensive
Wow just wow I was absolutely mind blown when I seen this video all the water fireworks and projectors must of been very expensive but really great show you should build your own Disney themed theme park but obviously call it something else for copyright reasons but the show was amazing
Aside from some of the lights covering the screen (10:40) and the iffy finale with the fireworks drowning out the audio to deaf levels of hearing (21:58), this was still a pretty valiant effort. You use of clips in the video were perfectly selected, even if you did use clips from movies that never showed up when the show first opened in 1992 (Princess and the Frog and Toy Story) and the water and light effects were simple but effectively programmed well to the audio cues. For me, this gets an 8 out of 10. Not perfect, but it has its charm.
Thank you, great feed back. All of which also bugged the crap out me. The lights hitting the screen was a mistake made after the programming was done and being placed at the wrong angle. And the fireworks! lol totally insane. The camera took the sound from those big time. The movie was just supposed to be relevant to the kids ages watching it live. Over all it was a fun night. I give it a A for effort and about a 5 out of 10 if I’m grading myself.
stijn_ termote everything was programmed using a DMX software. The controller is called compu show made by Chauvet. The video, you can just take videos from your collection and cut them into pieces. You can even use windows movie maker that comes with most computers. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions. Thanks for watching!

Why go to disney when you can save money and go to this guys house. Wonderful water show and special effects.
With how much Disney keeps raising the prices for their cheap-ass park, this is a much better alternative.
