Mug cakes seem so convenient and I would probably love it, but I have no microwave and no plans to get one. The radiation isn't healthy and in this world, there's enough things that could slowly kill you, so that is just one less thing that I don't need in my life; besides, it will actually force me to cook real food.
Hello 🙂 Thank you for the recipe - I've made and already eaten the chocolate cake. I did substitute few ingredients and tweak a few things to make it more fudge like and rich. 1) added only the egg yolk 2) substituted 1 almond flour to coconut flour. 3 added milk and heavy cream to the mixture until it's thick cake batter consistency. 4) cooked it for 80 seconds in the microwave allowed it to sit and cool down. It was perfect with an English cup of tea. It was like cake brownie. Much love and blessings to you all ❤️
So yummy! With my chocolate mug cake instead of adding choc chips before cooking, I add them right after, let them melt and spread it over the top as a frosting. 😊
Hi, I just wanted to share, I took this recipe & turned it into a pancake, It was absolutely awesome! I simply switched the granulated sweetener with powdered. Did everything else the exact same. Best mug pancake ever!!! Thanks!!!
Just made the chocolate version, sooooo good. I used coconut palm sugar instead of monk fruit sweetener, with just a bit of agava and 1/2 a tablespoon of instant coffee...it was so good. Only problem is I know that I will be making it more than I should. Thank you for this awesome recipe.
Professional, organized, straight to the point video. I love this recipe. I have made it a million times. I've. Ade it for dinner parties. Felt guilty it only took a few min in the microwave. So yummy!
I made 2 servings of mug cake as snack today, the best ‘baking’ experience ever! Cocoa powder, macha powder, each topped with a scoop of ice cream and crushed almond chips 😋😋😋. Thank you so much!
Oh... my.... God..... It is so very delicious 😯🤯 I just made it 😋😋😋😋😋 I reduced the monk fruit sugar to 1 1/2 tbsp (-sugarlike- keto sugar) and added 1 tsp of carob powder (as caffeine free chocolate), because it's late night And oh my God 😋😋😋😋
I have made this three times so far, I made the cake right in the mixing mug. I reduced to 3 tablespoon of almond flour instead of 4, and 1.5 tablespoon of truvia. Saves me some calories. Thanks for a wonderful recipe
I substituted almond flour with hazelnut meal I had lying around, and added 4-5 chocolate chips in the batter before I put the mug in the microwave. It was so good! Like eating a Nutella cake 🥰! Thanks for sharing the recipe
I tried them both and they are aweseome... just made some change with quantity and ingredients to make it more moist and fluffy.. so used 2 tbsp of almond flour. 2 tbsp sweetner. 1 egg.1/2 tsp vanilla.. 1-2 tbsp cooking cream . 2 tsp coconut oil.. pinch of salt. 1-2 mins in the microwave .
I just made the Vanilla for the second time since almond flour is the only flour i get at the moment. We topped it with a little scoop of icecream sooooo good. My 11 year old son loves the cake . Next time i try the cocoa one 🥰🥰🥰🥰. Oh and i put in mine frozen blueberries
WOW!! This mug cake really hit the sweet spot for me. I was having a super nasty craving for chocolate but I didn't want to bake a whole cake or buy one. This was the answer to my sweet tooth prayers. Thanks Danny!!
I love your recipes! I made my own vanilla with about 20 vanilla beans in a quart of bourbon. After a few months, I removed the beans, dried them and put them in a quart jar of monk fruit. I've been shaking it up now and then and I think the monk fruit is absorbing the vanilla essence! Needs some more time.
primrozie ohhhhh that sounds wonderfully delicious!!! A month has gone by have you used any of them yet? Your thoughts? I bet that would take this recipe over the top.
@@carolgrzeschik9700 Oh yeah, I use the vanilla all the time. I've since added more vanilla beans and bourbon. Just going to keep it going until I can't to buy the ingredients anymore. Thank you for sharing, I just tried the vanilla one and I was impressed with how good it was! The only thing I did differently was used 3 tablespoons of almond flour and 1 tablespoon of coconut flour. The best recipe, if you don’t have almond flour you can blend some oats and make oatmeal flour, I happened to have gf oats, it came out so fluffy and moist 😍😍😍

Thanks for your video. It looks easy and really tasty. Thought I would let you know, Taste of Home has a list of common baking substitutions and says 1 egg =1/4 cup pumpkin, 1 egg =1/3 cup applesauce, 1 egg =1/4 cup mashed potatoes.

I just pulled my chocolate mug cake out of the oven and it’s cooling as I type. But I think I might also try putting a bit of almond extract with a vanilla version, and sprinkle the top with some sliced almonds. That’s my next experiment. I can’t wait. Update: I just dug into my chocolate mug cake. I love the almond flour-y texture and it is very chocolatey good. I feel good eating it because I know it’s healthy and unprocessed. Thanks, Dani! Will look up your other recipes and I think I will love the clean cuisine!
Iʻve made this three times now. So far I like the vanilla one (just plain) the best. Great texture and ease. The first time I made it, Iʻd already put a handful of frozen raspberries and some goat yogurt in a bowl; then I made this and put it on top. It was amazing!!
I love this recipe. I use almond extract instead of vanilla and almond paste for the delicious almond version of the chocolate or vanilla cake in the cup. Thanks for posting this

So do people with Egg allergy. It's Not always about vegan. A lot of people cannot consume Eggs Or Dairy due to allergies. So they can only have Dairy Free desserts and nothing that includes eggs.
literally the best vanilla cake i've ever tasted i substituted the egg for as much milk as there would be egg and it was just like a blondie, so thick and dense
There’s a vegan product called Egg Replacer that I’ve used for baking and it works beautifully. It’s in powder form - you simply add warm water per instructions and add to recipe. I’ve also used mashed banana and applesauce as substitutes for eggs. I gave my microwave away (!) but will try this in a regular oven to see how it comes out.
I just made the vanilla one with the egg replacer !!! Then I forgot the vanilla!!! The batter was a little dense so I added a little bit of water. I'm eating it right now and it's good. Cant wait to try when I follow all the directions!

Made the chocolate cake in my weakness of keto. I’m dying for something good. I have not cheated on keto, but tonight was a hard night. Found this chocolate cake recipe and thought I doubt it’s any good because I can have this on keto. So I made it.... Heaven....I’m in heaven 😘🥰😍 I ate 1/2 of the cake and was very content. I will have the rest tomorrow night. I topped it with heavy whipping cream....ahhhhhh... YUM
There are plenty of good desserts you can have on keto, there's no need to deprive yourself. Keto doesn't mean "nothing sweet", that's why there are so many good natural sugar replacements out there. Stevia, erythritol, monkfruit are just a couple. Rebel and Halo Top ice creams, Lily brand chocolates, and Zevia sodas and teas are easy to find in grocery stores and are very low carb. Amazon also has a treasure trove of low carb items from LC foods and other companies. They are out there and they are delicious!
Just made the chocolate one and I had to add about 1/2tsp water cuz my batter was a bit dry (I live in a very dry region) and it came out super good but next time I will let it cool down longer before eating because my whipped cream melted lol. I agree that these mug treats are a game changer for my keto sweet tooth.
Just had to try out the chocolate cake. I baked it in my Dash mini egg bite maker. It turned out great. Sprinkled chocolate chips on top as it cooled. Yum. I think it took about 7 minutes and looked like thin brownies. Used butter since we didn't have coconut oil.
I just made the chocolate one and it was a tiny bit dry. I will reduce the microwave time just a pinch next time. Also, I might add a fruit purée on the top because for me it needed a tiny bit more sweetness but not much. I’m definitely making this again!
This is exactly what I wanted today! I can always trust your recipes to be good. I made the vanilla and sliced some fresh strawberries and added cool whip. It was soooooo delicious!!!! Thank you!
This was my introduction to your channel. I am most impressed by the comments: useful, cheerful & sensible. What a relief lol. Off to make this cake ...🙏
I started keto one week ago and it's working marvels for me, but I do miss some sweets so here I am, testing out some mug cakes on youtube. This one is my first! I didn't have all the ingredients, so I replaced the coconut oil with butter (a spoon) and the monk fruit sweetener with Xilitol. It turned out very cacao in taste, and fluffy texture, and I was surprised how well the almond flour tasted like a regular flour! No eggy taste either, so that's good. I wished it was more moist and sugary, but maybe that was because of my ingredients switch! I'll definitely give it another try with those original ones! Anyway, it was fun, even though, with my own ingredients it summits up to 7,8 grams of glucides!! Hopefully, most of them are fiber. Thank you for your recipe!
I tried it but used shredded coconut ( powder) instead of almond flour.. nice and yummy.. I love the way how you make your videos, interesting, so to the point and clear .. thanks for your efforts
Oh my gosh! These look so easy and delicious to make.. I can't wait to make them later on today with my kids! Thanks so much for the great idea! Happy Valentine's Day to you and your family! 😊❤
I used your recipe to make this for my mom today :) Thank you so much! She loved it! Happy Mother’s Day to all the mommas out there! We appreciate you!
Thank you for trying a vegan option! Aquafaba (the brine from a can of chickpeas) is a great egg replacement! 3 Tablespoons of the aquafaba is equivalent to one egg. Whip it up with a fork or whisk and add to the wet ingredients! It works perfectly!! 🌱
Loved (past tense since roomie and I wolfed it down) the chocolate one, looking forward to doing the other. With a mug with a lid I'd take it to work and microwave it there thank you!
I just made the chocolate mug cake - it is absolutely delicious, moist and flavourful. I"m stunned how easy it was to prepare. This recipe is a keeper. Thank you so much!
Sooo good both recipes especially the chocolate. I didn’t use any sweetener because with the fruit it doesn’t need it. It is so far the best keto desert I’ve made and with keto ice cream or whipped cream totally delicious, thank you for this great recipe. From Canada.
I really appreciate you telling us how you tried to make it vegan 🌱 thanks a lot ♥️👏🙏🙌 . Banana and flax egg usually work fine for me as a substitute for egg.
Suzzette Lettman Hi Suzzette, do you still use the mug? how long do you let it sit in the steamer? I try not to use a microwave whenever possible. Still learning - TIA
I’ve tried so many chocolate mug cake recipes and this one is by far the best!! It came out so fluffy and moist, not rubbery at all like other recipes I’ve tried :)) thank you!
I make this but use a banana for my sweetener and it is important not to forget the salt (I did once and it is a make or break ingredient). I never thought to add finishing touches or a chocolate mug cake, thanks for the idea! 😊
I love that you are incorporating monk fruit into some of your recipes. I can't wait to try the vanilla one. And yes to the cookie and brownie recipes! I don't bake much because I live alone, so these one serving recipes are great!
Vegan mug cake recipe I saw on Olio the other day :) 3 tbsp self raising flour 2 tbsp sugar 1 tbsp cocoa powder 1 tbsp sunflower oil 4 tbsp non-dairy milk Mix well and then push chocolate chunks in the centre for melted filling (i put a lump of nutella) Microeave at 1min 30sec at 800w I actually used olive oil cause thats what i had at the house but it still worked :o
I'd use a silicone mini cake form. Bake 350. Haven't tried myself, just offering suggestion. Also have small 6.5" cast iron skillet I will probably try this in. Or a 5" square cast iron skillet. Like the mini skillets because some batters and doughs can be put in fridge or freezer and I can bake one at a time. I have a microwave but I avoid as much as possible. Baking in it really creepy to me. This could be very good with frozen banana frozen dessert/ice cream. Sometimes I make the ice cream and want a little cake to make more enjoyable.
I’ve tried many mug cakes before and they always ended up tasting gross like something from an easy bake oven. But this is SOOOOO GOOOOD. Definitely going to make this every time I have a chocolate cake craving!!!
I just made the chocolate mug cake with a little vanilla macadamia nut butter drizzled over it, maybe a teaspoonful. O.M.G.... this came out better than expected. First time making a mug cake. Fabulous! Gotta get a vanilla bean now and try the vanilla. Thanks for this!
Hello, I miss cake so much since I started eating healthier. I'm trying this for a Sat treat. Do you have a video for homemade pizza. I miss that soooooooo much. Happy Fri and ❤ day
If I'm not mistaken I think it is Gemma From Bigger Bolder Baking who actually has a whole range of other mug ideas, sweet and savoury, and I think she even makes a one cup pizza recipe for that doing it in a mug how Danni did with her cake. Go and have a look, she has a huge range of mug cooking ideas, brilliant! :)
Ahh, these look delicious! Thanks for sharing, I appreciate your alternative tips too. I want to try expanding the vanilla cake one using an 8" round silicone pan. Would that be more than quadruple volume?
For the egg substitute
1 tablespoon of flax seed (made into a fine powder
3 tablespoons of water
Mix those together to make one egg
Put in fridge for 15 min s
After that mix well then add to your baking
It works really well 😀😀😀

This is my first TH-cam cake recipe that actually works..love it..I advice everyone to give it a try.
I basicly wrote the same
Just fed up with people putting recipes and they're horrendous. Not edible and cost so much money for food especially if it's healthy stuff.
Oh my gosh! These look so easy and delicious to make.. I can't wait to make them later on today with my kids! Thanks so much for the great idea! Happy Valentine's Day to you and your family! 😊❤
It's my pleasure! Enjoy the recipes Fran.
Fabulous❤I made the chocolate one today x 2. They were so yummy and the entire process worked perfectly. Thank you. I will make them forever.
Loving that these are keto! Glad I found your channel!
Thanks for the tips, Tiana!
Omg sooo good! I made a few subs using 1/3 mashed banana instead of coconut oil, and 1/4 cup egg whites instead of using 1 egg with yolk.
So good!
Mmm I
sub 1T coconut flour instead of almond flour, coconut milk instead of almond milk, add shredded coconut flakes 🥰
This is the comment I was looking to find!
Thanks so much!
chesh kat Me too,
Oh thank you!
jamie5mauser can you substitute flaxseed flour?
Where does she use almond milk? My mother loves coconut, so I'd like to try this, but I'm confused by the milk addition. Thanks!
Awe, well sorry I didn't find a solution but lots of great tips in the comments (including yours!), thank you.
I've just made this using gluten free bread flour and blueberries. Turned out great, spongy and light. Thanks!
I enjoy your channel, but I don't do mirowave, I put it in pot or steamer to cook and it's yummy.
Sounds delicious! Enjoy it.
Suzzette Lettman Hi Suzzette, do you still use the mug? how long do you let it sit in the steamer? I try not to use a microwave whenever possible. Still learning - TIA
@@carolgrzeschik9700 it depends on the size of the mug Carol, I did it for 25 mins. I hope that helps? Let me know how you get on 👍
I can not thank you enough for this recipe. Made this today and my family couldn't get enough of this . Thank you so so much.
cookies and brownies would be amazing thank you
Thanks for the feedback Lori!
I’ve tried so many chocolate mug cake recipes and this one is by far the best!! It came out so fluffy and moist, not rubbery at all like other recipes I’ve tried :)) thank you!
These cakes looks delicious... can't wait to try them...I'd love to see the other mug recipes you mentioned...Thanks Dani!
I hope you get to give them a try Audrey!
This is sooo good! And perfect for someone like me who cuts a very large slice of cake if there’s a whole one... so a cup size portion is perfect!
Yum! I love how easy and delicious this recipe looks!
I make this but use a banana for my sweetener and it is important not to forget the salt (I did once and it is a make or break ingredient).
I never thought to add finishing touches or a chocolate mug cake, thanks for the idea! 😊
Yumm! Love the banana idea. Thanks for sharing.
I love that you are incorporating monk fruit into some of your recipes. I can't wait to try the vanilla one. And yes to the cookie and brownie recipes! I don't bake much because I live alone, so these one serving recipes are great!
craigjeffries, I use Cake batter extract instead of the vanilla extract on the vanilla cake. It tastes like my grandmother’s homemade vanilla cake.
@@Im4Smoke1439 Ooh, that sounds yummy! Thank you for the tip. I am going to try that!
Vegan mug cake recipe I saw on Olio the other day :)
3 tbsp self raising flour
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp sunflower oil
4 tbsp non-dairy milk
Mix well and then push chocolate chunks in the centre for melted filling (i put a lump of nutella)
Microeave at 1min 30sec at 800w
I actually used olive oil cause thats what i had at the house but it still worked :o
Looks divine! ❤️👌
They are both super good!!
I have tried the chocolate version twice and ohhh myyy. It tastes Heavenly!!! Thanks for this recipe.
Sounds amazing. I don’t have a microwave... any way to adapt it for the oven?
@Healing Hands Agreed!
325 degrees??
I'd use a silicone mini cake form. Bake 350.
Haven't tried myself, just offering suggestion.
Also have small 6.5" cast iron skillet I will probably try this in. Or a 5" square cast iron skillet.
Like the mini skillets because some batters and doughs can be put in fridge or freezer and I can bake one at a time.
I have a microwave but I avoid as much as possible. Baking in it really creepy to me.
This could be very good with frozen banana frozen dessert/ice cream. Sometimes I make the ice cream and want a little cake to make more enjoyable.
Steam it on stovetop!
I use 3 Tablespoon oats flour my daughter love it thank you dear
Brb going to the kitchen to make one 😍
I have been making lemon mug cake for years. Today is time to try the chocolate one. I also topped it with keto strawberry jam.
How close is monk fruit to table sugar? And does it have any aftertaste like erythritol maybe?
It can be swapped 1:1 with tables sugar. As for taste, I don't detetct an after taste.
I’ve tried many mug cakes before and they always ended up tasting gross like something from an easy bake oven. But this is SOOOOO GOOOOD. Definitely going to make this every time I have a chocolate cake craving!!!
So happy you enjoyed this recipe! Really is perfect for a chocolate craving
I am definitely interested in other things been in the Microwave. I didn't know that cookies could be done in there.
They can be! It's kind of wild.
@@CleanandDeliciousDani I can hardly wait to see you do them! Happy Valentine's day!

Hi Dani. Your 2 min mug cakes was simply divine. I substituted oat flour instead of the almond flour. Its really unbelievable😚 thanks dear
I'm interested in anything you make. Love them all.
Thank you!!
I did the lemon recipe and it was delicious. Next time I use a little less sugar. Really good!!!! Thank you 💝
Ahh, these look delicious! Thanks for sharing, I appreciate your alternative tips too. I want to try expanding the vanilla cake one using an 8" round silicone pan. Would that be more than quadruple volume?
That sounds about right, but I can't say for sure without testing it myself.
I made the chocolate one tonight, so easy and delicious. My fiancée love it! Can't wait to try the vanilla. Thank you.
Hi, looks great. Do you think I can use standard flour instead of the almond one? thx :-)
I am sure you can but you may need to adjust ingredients a bit... general rule, if the batter looks good and smells good, it will hopefully be good!!
I tried this and omg they are delicious, convenient for one person, and satisfying.. thank you 🌹
oh they look soo good. Has anyone made them in the oven? It would be lovely to know temprature and time
Just made both of these tonight! My husband even liked them! Thanks so much for the recipe!
Awesome. Can I use oat flour instead of almond flour, and also honey instead of sugar?
I'm sure you can, but may need to adjust measurements a bit. Would love to hear how it goes.
I just started keto diet. It is nice to have this as a treat. Thank you for this recipe.😊👍❤️
