Sometimes I forgot just how special this movie is to A LOT of people. And then when it clicks.... it really hits deep in a special place for me. I’m so lucky to be involved with this fantastic work of cinema
I loved Killer Clowns. Such a cult classic from my childhood. We would always pick a horror movie for Dad when we would go rent videos, and this one was one we kids watched over and over.
I’ve spent a lot of time on Pacific Avenue in Santa Cruz, and I’ve walked through the 100 block of Cooper street dozens of times. I can’t believe all this time I was walking through an area they filmed this movie lol. I love it. Thanks for this!
I was born in 1988, I will say I had kick ass grandparents who would let me watch all kinds of horror movies at a young age, I remember seeing KK and I fell in love at a young age z this is one movie I watch over and over and over again, so awesome you are showing off the locations of this movie.
Damn, I live in Watsonville. Wish I would've known you were in town. Fun fact the one house that nobody can find is actually next to Watsonville high school.
No one on TH-cam speaks the perfect tempo like you do. Any people out there wanting to do public speaking etc... Follow this pace. Makes your clips a pleasure to watch and listen to. Well done. If I had 1 request It wld be to show the now shot ... Cut to then... And maybe a quick cut back to now. Cheers guys.
@@heffy1000 Yes, I find myself rewinding the videos a lot too. "Then and now" means exactly that! But I'm not really complaining. His videos are still letting me see things I probably would never get to see. And he is excellent at framing his shots.
I'm so glad to have found your channel. I've always been a total geek for filming locations and have lived near some significant California ones in my life. One of my new favorite things to do after a long week of work is grab a cocktail and go down memory lane with your videos. Thanks for all your hard work, traveling and letting us all live vicariously. Great taste in movies too!!!
Awesome to see this movie covered. Between Watsonville and Santa Cruz there is a small town called Soquel. That's also the site of some scenes including the infamous beheading in an alley roughly behind where the post office is.
The part that creeped me out was she the clown was making shadow puppets for the people, then turned into a dinosaur and swallowed them up! Nice job showing locations.
My nieces and nephews love this movie. Only thing that keeps quiet for 90 minutes. My nephew was explaining when the clown punched a guys head off to someone who didn’t know what he was talking about but I did
My buddy and i absolutely love killer klowns from outer space. Such an awesome video you and baby ghoul have down. Love the dress and look jessica had for this video. So many hilarious gags and the look of the klowns. Happy halloween 🎃
My all time favorite clown horror movie too! I have so many killer klown shirts! Got some of them from gutter garbs, cavity colors, and terror threads to say a few and the quality and colors of these shirts are truly amazing!
I wish I could post pics. I have photos of the stunt masks used in the film. My old boss has them on display in Richmond, CA. We sold FX supplies. He also has one of the original castings of the anaconda from Anaconda. It was great to see you make this vid. Thanks. Great channel.
Michael.. your enthusiasm always shows thru for the topics you cover but never more than this time. Killer video (see what I did there? ) Grimm for Life!
Santa Cruz/Watsonville was the place to be in the late 80s...Lost boys and killer Klowns was filmed there...too bad there wasn't a "Summer of Love 2 " in that time wouldve been GREAT to add that on there.
That was really cool to see that. Wish you could show the spot where the mother ship was sitting. The spot when it first landed on earth and the amusement park where it hid later in the movie.
So awesome to see where the Top of The world was!! Did you see where the circus tent was where the old man and bear was cocooned? Such a great movie thank you
Im on a grimmlifeROLL today.Bingewatching a ton of your lovely videos :) And this video was just amazing.Thank you so much :) Been checking out your videos from time to time for a couple of years..and i love them so much.I really enjoy the way everything is presented, and its just soooo awesome. No need to mention that i am a huge horror movie fan.So it is a true pleasure tagging along with you two lovely people,to check out all these amazing places.Much respect, much love from theNorwegianDrummer, Stefan :)
I love this movie. Thank you for taking us with you on your journey. It’s cool any of those locations are still there. The former police building and the gazebo.
Great video of my home town watsonville! I couldn't agree with you more that the plaza gazebo needs a killer klown plaque commemorating the movie that was shit there. As a Parks and Recs commissioner I will bring it up at our next meeting.
They were in Watsonville, CA where it was filmed this weekend celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the film. Event was put on by Nerdville in Watsonville. The Chiodo brothers mentioned loving to do a sequel, but they're just not sure I guess that any Hollywood studios would be interested. This is what I gathered after watching their Nerdville Q&A on IG.
At 5:19, the character Bob, that's comedian Christopher Titus! I didn't realize it was him until last Halloween when my boyfriend and I were watching the movie and I immediately recognized Christopher. I am a HUGE Titus fan!
this is my childhood favorite I bought the DVD the video download I must have watched it over a thousands of times I can relate to some of the actors I can see myself taking sides joining the clown or joining the brothers that drove the ice cream truck
I remember watching this movie on "Action Pay-per-view 🎬" it was the alternate Pay-per-view channel that showed b-movies. Saw many cool late 80s - early 90s b-movies!!!
Damn I am loving these filming location vids. Growing up in the 80s during the boom period for horror flicks I just love seeing the locations from them as they are now.
Years ago I met the Chiodo brothers and I asked Why no Killer klowns 2 they said they were thinking about it and asked me if they should do part 2 or a reboot. I said defiantly part 2 maybe the klowns land in Las Vegas. They were really cool .
HEY, MICHAEL & JESSICA WHAT'S UP Yeah, killer clowns was pretty cool 👍 when it came out back on may 27 1988 I was like 26 year old and was kind of busy with my daughter and she was 7 years old at that time and that movie scared the poo out of her and I Thought that was awesome so thanks for bringing back that memory to enjoy
Fuck yeah man this is so cool. One of the all time greats. I remember asking some of my friends 5 years ago about this movie and only 1 of them had ever saw it. The scene that scared me as a kid was the scene where they turned the cop into a puppet. Felt so real as a kid.
Met you at top of the world that day. We were throwing when you got to top and told us about killer clowns. Didn't know you were doing videos. Just subd. And binging some of your vids.
