Man its so cool seeing Mike again, its like he's still in character somehow lol straight up down to earth type of guy. Killer klowns one of top favorite movies
Killer Klowns From Outer Space is my favorite movie of all time and the way the locations are there still today despite now being changed up a bit still blows me away :) i love it
@12:59 you say I'm a completist. I've never heard that word so I thought you meant completionist which I have heard many many many times. But upon a quick google I found you to be right and they mean the same thing. Oddly enough completist seems to be a word but completionist is showing up here with red underlined, so the youtube comment dictionary doesn't see it as a word, so according to youtube I'm wrong. Great content though, thanks! I love Killer Klowns!
I'm so happy that the buildings are pretty much the same structure as the film, just under new management. Most old buildings I've noticed have either been renovated big time or just torn down if no new business took them over.
My first time watching one of your videos. Killer Klowns from outer space is an 80's classic. I was born in the 80's, and watched this movie when I was a kid. I can't wait to show my son this movie. Awesome video. Subscribed.
Love this movie! I was born and raised in Santa Cruz so I have extra love for movies that were filmed there, especially at the Boardwalk! Thanks Sean! \m/
Wow this was an incredible HHG Sean! One of my absolute favorite movies and this was definitely the best film location video anyone has ever done for this movie. Thank you so much for doing this for the fans. This was definitely worth the wait to finally see
Omg thank u soooo much for this I’m such a nerd for this movie and to see the actors and locations put such a smile on my face thanks for the amazing content
This is one of my all time favorite movies , I am so happy to see someone do this, awesome intro and quality. Also I saw you on GLC you have one badass collection, subscribed for more 😎
Top of the world is now a world class disc golf course, played it once and then found out later that one of the tees i tee'd off from is literally the TOTW shot from KKFOS after the fact...
It's cool so many folk get to see an in-depth on locations from Killer Klown's now something I surely thought I'd never see. Any morsel of info over the years about this movie I would soak up & ponder. A hearty thanks for putting this together. It means alot. Good to see Mike too. This was awesome.
What a sweet video, Sean you love all the weird stuff I do, but you know how to express it so well for all of us to enjoy. Wonderful movie, and what a treat of a video, i know I'm late to watch it, but hey I'm old!!
wow, first the great videos you did with grimmslife, and now a Horrors Hallowed Grounds on one of the greatest horror films ever made?! With all of these treats it's starting to feel like halloween!
It is indeed! And if anyone hasn’t checked out the stuff Sean did on the grimmlife channel I highly recommend it. Get to see a lot of Sean’s personal collection and hear the stories about how he acquired some of it.
A guy I know has the Clownzilla head from the climax. I kind of wish I had the severed head Tiny knocks into the trash can, I think the Chiodo’s still has it. Love the cast joining you. It’s so cool the car crash site is virtually unchanged over 30 years later. Was the hospital where the filmed the hillbilly’s house too?
Great seeing these locations ! I fell in love with this crazy, inventive and unique movie back in 87' and watch it often. Great seeing Grant Cramer - I only recently found out he produced and had had a cameo in Willy's Wonderland - another whacked out movie ! Fantastic channel Sean. Keep up the great work !
I really wish they made a sequel to Killer Klowns finally. I know it was in the works a few years ago but got put back into the can; production issues, budget issues, network rights issues (SyFy channel). It's also my understanding that Suzanne Snyder who played Debbie decided to stop acting to focus on raising a family and I don't know what John Allen Nelson has been up to. Grant Cramer was the only original cast member who was slated to return. As I said, unfortunately the whole KKFOS (Killer Klowns From Outer Space) sequel seems to be permanently on hold. :/
@@malfuncsean i actually discovered a movie that i like it came out in 1986 its maximum overdrive where comet passes close to earth and causes machines to come alive that would be a good filming location idea sean clark
@@malfuncsean ok hopefully you can do the filming locations on this movie its another classic that just seems not to get much good feedback like the other classics for some reason because it was a really good movie its underrated
I’ve been going through your playlist and have really gotta say I love the films you cover the celebs that take time to appear on location and the way you seem to effortlessly take us there with you. I’d love to know how you made your start and how a guy in the Midwest Ohio unfortunately not California can pursue the same goals you’ve obtained?
I only discovered your channel from another youtuber visiting your home and viewing your collections, and then I subscribed to your channel and now I'm so addicted to watching your videos. You and your videos are awesome and put so much time in to making them. You deserve way more subscribers then you have. From a huge horror fan in Leeds, England
Not mentioned ( and you would have no reason to know this) is how bad that alley that was used in the biker scene smelled of piss. Also the first take of that shot, the first bike that takes off got lighting cords all wrapped up in the rear wheel and brought down many lights. That 2 min scene was shot between 7 pm ans 3 am.
LOVE this flick. They had some Killer Klowns Pop!s at walmart and I decided to wait til payday so I could buy all 3. Needless to say by then they were all gone and they never got any more. I really F'd up on that one.
Another awesome one! Speaking of Suzanne Snyder.... and who isn't :) .. if you were into it you should do a ROTLD part 2 locations.. some really cool places in that one and nobody's done them.. one guy did a few about 7 years back but the video is pretty rough.. but interesting. Also I had contacted Thor Van Lingen from the movie like 10 years ago about the bluray release at the time and he was pretty awesome.. be a cool person to get info from.
Sean, great work as always! Greetings from a new but already dedicated fan in San Antonio, Texas! Your stuff is so incredibly detailed and funny too! Too bad you guys couldn’t get hit with pies at the end of this film would’ve been perfect! But still amazing!
The matte paintings were done by Ken Marshell, best known as THE "Titanic" portrait painter (any classic painting done of the Titanic, both in action and the Titanic Wreck). Most of his paintings were visuals emulated for Cameron's movie and he also served as "Visual Historian". Plus, he also did the Desert Matte Painting for the final shot of the classic TERMINATOR.
Thanks for making, yet another, great video! I hadn't seen Killer Klowns From Outer Space until about a year ago. People, such as yourself, kept saying how it's a classic film, so I went out and bought it. It's silly, but that's why I really like it. :-)
@malfuncsean I think, emphasis on think, the alley that was the ice cream truck drive thru & “knock my block off” was also the dumpster behind Big Top Burger. The windows and wall piping match up but what’s throwing me off is behind the employee is a roll up door that isn’t there anymore. Also in the dumpster scene you can see the wall is a different color by the door so maybe this was further down the alley, the part that isn’t there anymore? I’d love to know if I’m right!
Just subscribed after seeing you on the grimmlifecollective, so awesome you have the actual Tron helmet. Tron was the first vhs we rented when I was a kid back in the 80’s I was blown away too and I’ve been a massive fan ever since. My inner child is happy to know you’re taking care of it 👍.
This was so awesome! The fact that you brought Mike and Grant along made it 10x better. Thanks again for another stellar video Sean.
They seem like the coolest and nicest actors! Hope they continue to do conventions!

Killer Klowns was one of the early movies I saw that got me into horror. Awesome video as usual, most detailed and thorough one out there.

The Lost Boys was also filmed mostly in Santa Cruz, but they changed the name to Santa Carla in the movie.

THANKS A LOT FOR TAKING US ON YOUR KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE LOCATIONS!! I REALLY ENJOYED THIS ONE, DEFINITELY ONE OF MY FAVORITE HORROR MOVIES!!

When I first saw this movie, it didn't do much for me. But over the years and after a few more screenings, it's grown on me. A fun flick.

As far as i know, there were 3 horror films made at the boardwalk. Killer klowns, lost boys and us. Pretty cool! Excellent research here Sean!
Easily in my top 5 favorite movies of all time.

(Didn't get a chance to edit this). John Allen Nelson who played Dave in the original Killer Klowns. (Just for those that didn't know)
Sean, would you consider releasing all your past shows on a DVD or Blu-ray compilation?
I absolutely would but it would be a rights issue nightmare because of all of the clips.
You can find most of them on their respective Shout factory Blu-ray's luckily. Some you can still find for a decent price.

Hey Sean could you do a film location video on the 80’s horror movie Motel Hell ? That’d be awesome.
