- We are excited to share our newest barndominiums. This is the Ballpark Barndo. This home has 1,002 square feet of living space and 1,745 square feet with the double garage. It is 2 bedroom and 2 bath. There is a lot of space in this little barndo.

LOVE this layout!! PERFECT size for downsizing retirees!! The ONLY changes I would make for OUR needs is to put a walk-in pantry where the laundry room is now and put the laundry in the garage. Also, I would put in double sinks in the master bathroom.

That's the best house I've ever seen on TH-cam gives you a nice kitchen. Decent size living space whoever designed app knew what they were doing I don't seem to find that on any videos on TH-cam hats off to you guys

I've been on the fence about barndos but I really like this one. I'm single all my kids are grown and out on their own so this would be perfect. I really like everything about this one from the floor plan the garage Etc

This is a great starter home or retirement home. Love the layout.
perfect size for me. Only would change the counter top colors and that master shower, ugh, looks like going to shower in a dark cave. Loved the fully finished garage.
Nice size for me - semi retired, no kids at home. The only other thing I would have liked to see in the video is a floor plan layout.

Very nice! I like black & white, but not the tired grays. I am done with that. The garage is only "2 car" for a pair of Smart car. lol I plan to do something very similar, but 100x the garage.

I would put a mud room or breezeway between the house and garage.
People always ask abiut the price & i do to alot of us just want to know the basic price of the build we understand the finishing touches is a different price etc.... Thanks for the video

This looks great. Make sure that garage door leading into the house has two spring hinges installed per Nation Building Code and Texas Building Code.

My first home had one of those built-in desks. Absolute biggest waste of space. I'd get rid of that & use that space for more pantry. I'd also rather have a woodstove than that gas stove. I also don't care for the gray/black theme. I"d rather do warm earth tones...but, otherwise, a perfect size for me now that I'm by myself.

Cost of material fluctuates too much this day, and greatly depends on region. That’s why most of these barndo builds do not disclose price.
5 months ago material prices were 30-40% different location depending. You are naive to think any builder would post price.
@hippiehillape - *I don't think it has anything to do with being naive. Stating an approximate price or even a ballpark figure/range is very helpful to the builder's audience.*
I would be happy to come out to Texas, and sell that property for you. It’s beautiful it’s nice. This video is an apology the whole way through. Why apologize. It’s a beautiful property. Do not apologize for a small house. Did I mention that? I don’t think you should be coming across apologetic? Beautiful home fairly priced.
Nice but why not give actually cost or at least approximate. Makes a huge difference on whether to go with you or just build a regular home or go Santa Fe Stucco

Maybe you could do a video on cost😉 I myself would be more willing to deal with a company who was completely up front. There are many folks Really wanting info on this. I'm a Broker by trade, I get it. I don't pay every driver on my loads the same price. But Ya'll could do an info this is the basic video. Ya'll would get a million clicks on that topic😉

What about the full laundry room? Where was it, why did you skip it? We have been looking into building a Barndo, and I try to watch as many as I can to see what we really want versus what we need. This was the first one of your tours…not sure I will watch anymore. You where busy showing what “you like” instead of showing the whole house.
This is a smaller barndo so the laundry area is in the hallway with the small desk area. It don’t have a washer and dryer in there yet so you might have missed it. You should check out the Barefoot Barndo video we made. It has an amazing laundry/storage room.

It’s a room. You come from the garage into the laundry room.

Shouldn't be too expensive because it's basically a US steel building turned in to a home!
It's the "turned into a home" part that's going to get you. Foundation, interior, water/sewer, electric, hvac, inspections, plans, etc, etc, etc, can take a $12,000 shell, to $275,000 really quick. 😢

I love the home. There are few cosmetic things I would change in mine, but overall, excellent layout. Do you build in Oklahoma City? I realize all utilities would be my cost. I definitely would want central heat and air. Would love more info.

Just wondering is it true that cell reception is bad inside one of these? May sound like a dumb question but had to ask.
That’s not a dumb question at all. I think it depends on your cell service and how close or far you are from the closest tower.
