Whether you keep this house or build a new one, I think there needs to be more color and more thrifted/eclectic vibe again. They’re a fun family. I love this let’s play!
Finishing a renovation only to decide a few days later that it's still too cramped and you gotta start from scratch is extremely relatable Sims 4 gameplay lmao
Literally in the middle of building a new not so berry house bc the last was too small and I had to build a basement to fit my sims.😭 Well the new build is still way too small 😫
To be fair the last time james played in that house was almost a month ago when he was prerecording, so he had a lot more time to realize how small the lot was lol
@@Lilo.-. that's what bothered me the most I know James can make the house work but if the storyline is Reginald becoming a family man I definitely think his kids would have big bedrooms with space for toys and clutter
If you just continued the larger balcony from the parents side of the house to where you removed the roof, it would make sense. The door is from the parents room, so having a balcony makes sense, but the kid room and the bathroom “weren’t intended” to have access except in emergencies which is why it’s a window not a door and the kids use the windows to sneak out to the balcony and then climb down the trellis!
I would either do this or swap the bedroom with the toddler room and then extend the back balcony from the hallway. But either way he would need to extend a balcony from the opposite side so it blends.
Kids and toddlers can also do yoga so it'll be cute if Kevin can do a family yoga class as a "trial run" before he decides to be a professional yoga instructor.
James the IRL realness of constantly trying to find space for all the kids’ stuff for their interests and activities is hitting home during this episode. They just moved and before a full day even passes you’re already saying we need a bigger house 😂 Btw I think Reg and Kev have earned building their dream house from the ground up! Bulldoze that place and let them design exactly what they would love- combining their whimsical eclectic style with their current wholesome kid-friendly vibe would be so cute and very rewarding after they have put so much effort into becoming great dads.
So with the compost toilet, there is an option to collect the compost and then you just add it to the grub farm. You also have to remember to collect the fuel from the grubs or they can catch fire as well. 😊
If I remember correctly you can also see an option on the grub farm itself (when they're hungry) called 'feed with compost' and the sim will just go collect the compost from the toilet :)
Or just replace it, which is what I think I would do. You just know James is going to forget and he'll have a fire toilet just like Kayla does in her Nightmare Legacy
@@SweetSiets You might be right with the option coming from the farm and not the toilet, haven't done it in awhile, so I was going off memory...... LOL
You should build a new house on the property of the previous home. The storyline could be that Reginald wanted to renovate his old house and during the construction, the family had to move, but Reginald is so rich, so he just bought a completely new house for these few months.
I think you should build a brand new house! I feel like this place will get too small for this family pretty quickly, I think it would be nice for the kids to have bigger bedrooms when they grow up :)
Granny Column comes to meet her grandbabies for the first time and *poof* the whole family vanishes 😂😂😂 PS just extend the balcony with the railing on the right all the way over the whole length of the house so it’s not some weird roof/balcony/roof/balcony situation.
I think moving the family to the park lot and building Reggie and Kevin their "dream" home would be great! That way the big new house would be right near Sidney and Ava's much smaller house... another one-up for Reggie against Sidney! The kids need bigger bedrooms and a fun playroom. Then Reggie and Kevin could have a big on-suite with a hot tub! 😉
Reginald: fashionista, thrifting icon Kevin: clashing colors and patterns as a personality trait, lover of knitted goods James: I know I'm just turning everything white again, but I feel like it's their ~vibe~ ☠️☠️
you should switch Addison and the toddlers room! the toddlers room has space to put the ladder flat across the back of the house and you can make the back roof by the hallway a small balcony where the window can go to, instead of making the front of the house look wonky and weird. lol
The university photos do that too. You can't bring them from the gallery because they are tied directly to the sim they are a picture of. You might be able to bring them by putting it in old Reginald's inventory and bringing the sim forward into the new save. I think I tried to get a picture like that back before and had difficulty getting it to transfer properly. CC might be the better way. You could even fix it so it's not stretched and put it on a wall photo with CC.
Yah, the sim's inventory gets wiped if you save the sim to the library and then place them in the world. I don't know that you can transfer an item from a different save file with items.
Definitely think we need a rebuild on a bigger lot! This family needs a proper backyard and plenty of space in the kids rooms, maybe even a rumpus room or something for the kids play things so they don’t need to be squished into the living room
My favorite part of this story is the 2 Reginalds. Could you imagine? The people in moonwood mill would be like “omg famous author Reginald moved here! He’s super introverted and likes to stay in.” Then the paparazzi is like “Reginald spotted dropping off his son at highschool for the first time!” Causing so much confusion
I'm on my 3rd generation in that house, and that dang outdoor table was a huge issue. Sims would autonomously choose to sit at that table (and no other) for eating, socializing, and homework. By the second time a sim nearly froze to death sitting at the table in the winter I decided I'd had enough and deleted the chairs (I left the table so they wouldn't put grilled food on the ground).
Definitely into a total rebuild to reflect the come-up! Reggie's come a long way; he deserves it. I like the location of the lot they're in now, though, so it'd be cool to keep them in the area!
I loved the idea of them adapting the park lot - the rental is barely bigger, and using the park means they'd "accidentally" build their new, impressive home just next door from Sydney 🤭 It actually inspired me to build a house for Reginald - I might post it on James's reddit!
I feel like white and sensible isn't actually Reginald and Kevin's *vibe* at all! They're thrifting, crafty magical bro-cheerleaders! I'd love to see some colour, clashing patterns, furniture from the flea market, even locked crafted items from the catalogue
For the "sneaking out" window route, when you build the NEW Bigwallet Home. Possibly build an attached Pergola over the wrap around porch. Maybe?... and use trellising plants to make it covered and under the radar? 🌿🌼🌸
Just your regular reminder: If you 'Help with Homework' while your kid is doing homework it automatically keeps them focused. (Encourage does the same thing with creative on the activity table.) Helps with completing childhood aspirations.
if I was watching this when it was built I would've suggested adding Wheels to the outside of the homegym to show how commited they are to bringing that gym with them everytime they move :')
That would be cool! Kevin being who he is (and was trait-wise) it would not surprise me if he had the attitude of “I’m bringing the Hawaiian shirt to the fashion ignorant masses” while feeling zero need to move where his sense of style ‘fits in’ a bit better😂
I love the Bigwallet series so much, and I also love how every generation does the Rags to Riches. It’s like a rite of passage; you don’t become a true Bigwallet until you complete a Rags to Riches. Maybe one day we’ll get Addisons own RtR?
You can have a sim paint by reference Reggie's high school photo--then it should come through properly on the gallery and you can hang it on the wall too!
I would be happy to see a build from scratch, to meet the family's needs better. I like the idea that Reginal bought the property for the lot, but with the intention of building a customized house later down the line so that he could be in charge of the design himself.
James for Addison to be able to sneak out, maybe you could extend the back balcony and switch the kids rooms. That way you can have the flat surface for him to be able to climb out of the window and just add the ladder to the side! Just a thought
I am addicted to this series. I just cannot stop. When you didn't upload for a few days I didn't know what to do with myself. Coming home and seeing two straight days of uploads has made my week! Thanks for the quality entertainment for all these years! P.S. this comment is before watching!
To elaborate a little: The flat roof will make more sense, and the ladder with the ivy will camouflage better. Another option for if you rebuild the house: make the flat roof area Kevin's meditation or yoga balcony. It could even be over the gym. I prefer the conservatory idea, though... Actually, you could combine both ideas and have the yoga part of the gym be a sun room with a flat glass roof so the kid can sneak out.
Hey James!! Love the videos!! If you have Kevin knit and then queue up the watch interaction then Kevin won’t move all the time and he gets to work on his knitting!! It’s a win win!!
If you move the cat tree to where the desk was by the front door, the living room won’t feel as cramped. And I LOVE the idea that Reginald bought this house just to live in while they bulldoze the old lot and build their dream home 😂
I love it when sims let's plays move houses from time to time! also love to see the furnishing! In real life you also move several times so it is not weird to do so in the sims!
Try loading the old house with the picture in it, on the new lot.. put all the stuff you want to keep in the household inventory. Then bulldoze and start over. You could use the rental that was there as a starting point but, I suggest doing a dedicated build video so you can really get things the way you want! :)
Keep the Fire Toilet and follow Kayla's example by keeping it throughout all generations, starting with the High School Year Gen, when you should've done so from the Eco Lifestyle Gen, as that's when the Flameable Toilet came to be for real - it was the Eco Lifestyle Expansion that introduced Flameable Toilets
Love the series James! I was having withdrawals when you didn’t upload 😂 Opinion on the new house; it doesn’t flow and you’re right about the tall objects. It’s hard to watch and follow what’s happening. I think you should build something more open plan and less busy
Definitely agree with making the house bigger, more usable, et al Though if prefer building a house from scratch at this point. I think Kevin earned it.
You could still do a balcony on Addison's side because it would technically be a "false" or "fake" balcony to make the house look more symmetrical since the other side has a balcony. Absolutely loving this series, thanks James!
I recommend putting a potty seat on each floor. It saves a lot of time! Also, you could put some toddler toys, like the blocks, Wabbit Tablet, Blarfy... out in the home gym, so Breanne could play while Dad (Kevin) works out.
You can make "do homework" an activity for a club, and make a "homework club" where a bunch of kids come over to do homework together. You can also have them socialize, and it's a good way to have them meet people.
I love the look of the house, but it still feels really cramped especially because all the kids toys and items are huge. I think given the amount of money that the family currently has a full on demo and rebuild sounds great!
Sneak out window alternative: switch the sneak out window to be the one that's on the current bed wall. Have the window sneak out to the fireplace ledge (remove the fireplace roof) and trellis down from there. A 1 tile flat section on the fireplace may be a bit more discreet.
To disguise the sneak out window it would make sense if maybe that section of roof is under construction (maybe got wrecked in a bad storm) and it's just been one of those things that's always been on the to-do list without ever being done
The series is coming along really nicely. Loving how the story is going.😁 Also I'd love to see you build a house for this family, I always like watching build, gives me a lot inspiration when I wanna build my own house too. 😊
I’m loving this LP. A full gut job needs to be done with some pastels pop of color for Kevin. Because his clothes aren’t bah and he seems to love bold colors
Also, I really like the new house, I feel like the more neutral-white modern furniture could be Reginald's taste and the more colourful Kevin's! Would be fun to see how they decorate their house with their opposite styles
A really rfn building challenge I did was looking up random blueprints for a house and trying to build one in the sims following the blue prints for all walls and appliances.
Either gut the house or start over I think so it flows better and you have more room . Watching you leave all the upgraded stuff and do it all again in the new house was painful.
I'd like Reginald and gang would move to a bigger lot, so the family could enjoy an outdoor patio/playground area. Or maybe just renovate, since you would make better use of the available space for a family of four than the premade rental does. No doubt you want to preserve Totter Park so sims living in other towns can visit the park to go to Plumbite Pier. What about moving to Totter Park then turning the former starter lot into a park?
You could move some furniture in Addison's room and make the sneak out window the other one, the one that has the bed currenctly under. You'll might have to reduce the size of the chinmey on the side, but I guess it would make the look of the house more harmonic.
Tip for the independent trait for toddlers: They learn faster by themselves, parents or siblings intervening slows them down (or at least makes them unhappy).
Whether you keep this house or build a new one, I think there needs to be more color and more thrifted/eclectic vibe again. They’re a fun family. I love this let’s play!
100% agreed, I loved the vibe of the old house. It was so cute! (Did he ever upload it to the gallery?)
I agree, I was gonna say that and forgot so now I don't have to.
Like the maximilist kit vibe.
Finishing a renovation only to decide a few days later that it's still too cramped and you gotta start from scratch is extremely relatable Sims 4 gameplay lmao
Yep or spend hours building the perfect house then closing the game whitout playing
Literally in the middle of building a new not so berry house bc the last was too small and I had to build a basement to fit my sims.😭 Well the new build is still way too small 😫
Also something I wish we can do as simply irl
To be fair the last time james played in that house was almost a month ago when he was prerecording, so he had a lot more time to realize how small the lot was lol
It seems to be happening to my car. Stuff keeps breaking, I replace it, transmission breaks, might as well replace car!
The new house honestly feels smaller than the old one maybe a full gut and reconfigure the space would be the best idea
That's what I'm saying haha It does feel smaller, especially kids rooms
@@Lilo.-. that's what bothered me the most I know James can make the house work but if the storyline is Reginald becoming a family man I definitely think his kids would have big bedrooms with space for toys and clutter
@@shadowpanda8188 I agree, he probably will do that in the future
This house just doesn't feel like Reginald and Kevin..

My thoughts exactly
I would either do this or swap the bedroom with the toddler room and then extend the back balcony from the hallway. But either way he would need to extend a balcony from the opposite side so it blends.
You should build their own house based on what you need. Their new house looks small specially on bedrooms.
Yeah and the space for activities and skills
Kids and toddlers can also do yoga so it'll be cute if Kevin can do a family yoga class as a "trial run" before he decides to be a professional yoga instructor.

I want Sydney and Ava to move into the old house, it would be so weird and really solidify that these families are obsessed with each other! 😅
omg yes, imagine the drama, they would also end up as even closer neighbours
Paid for by all the 10000 simolen gifts from father and son
Perfect fit for the story line. Great Idea!
AGREED. Love the idea of them living in the old place. Lol
Definitely build a new house, because it will be built with all of their needs and wants in mind, therefore big enough for them.
So with the compost toilet, there is an option to collect the compost and then you just add it to the grub farm. You also have to remember to collect the fuel from the grubs or they can catch fire as well. 😊

haha xD yeah thats a Reginald thing to do
I LOVE the thought of that. VERY on brand for Reginald
Previous home is on a tiny lot tho.
Oh my goodness, Addison and Hillary going on a little adventure on the pier is something I would LOVE to see now.
Yes!!! Me too.
since she's an independent toddler, she actually learns faster on her own
Luckily I read the comments, I almost commented this too.
I think Reginald and Kevin would prefer to design their own house and make it ✨aesthetic ✨
I think you should build a brand new house! I feel like this place will get too small for this family pretty quickly, I think it would be nice for the kids to have bigger bedrooms when they grow up :)

Can't wait for the massive renovation or the new house build video! I really enjoy this LP!
If you grab the little toddler slide for Breanne, you can queue up all the slots and just watch her movement skill soar.
You never use the dining room as a big gathering space, so I definitely think making the table smaller or taking some of that space would be better

Two episodes in two days? You made my day James 😭❤️

Omg that layout xD How does a bigger house have less space!
at this point you should make it a build challenge to create the perfect family home for them and then just pick one haha
Move the sneaking out window to the window in the side of the house. it will be easier to disguise there!
Oh my word, I got so frustrated watching you shuffle things around and squeeze them in. We need a building episode. That house has toxic vibes! 😂
Now you can invite Sidney and show him your new bigger house. Poor Sidney living still in his little tiny house
Kevin should open an island-themed yoga spa in Sulani so he can wear Hawaiian shirts non-stop! 🐠🌺🪸🧘♂️
That would be cool! Kevin being who he is (and was trait-wise) it would not surprise me if he had the attitude of “I’m bringing the Hawaiian shirt to the fashion ignorant masses” while feeling zero need to move where his sense of style ‘fits in’ a bit better😂
I feel like they need a big multigenerational house with a designated playroom for the kids and an office
I love the Bigwallet series so much, and I also love how every generation does the Rags to Riches. It’s like a rite of passage; you don’t become a true Bigwallet until you complete a Rags to Riches. Maybe one day we’ll get Addisons own RtR?
"Get Rid of Your Fears" mod is great for the buggy fears. Love this series.
You can have a sim paint by reference Reggie's high school photo--then it should come through properly on the gallery and you can hang it on the wall too!
Using the Club system for doing homework together is really handy. Also independent toddlers learn better on their own.
The amount of times James went from live mode to build mode...💀
A relatable Sims experience 😂
Just how it is when you move a family into a new house, both in the Sims and real life!
We know you like to build! I would clear the same lot and make a fresh start.
so excited for the new house build for this LP. looking forward to it!!!
If you move the door to the deck into the dining room your living room would be more useful. Maybe a smaller arch would help
I would be happy to see a build from scratch, to meet the family's needs better. I like the idea that Reginal bought the property for the lot, but with the intention of building a customized house later down the line so that he could be in charge of the design himself.

Idea for the sneaky window: turn the space below into a conservatory or sun room with a flat glass roof, glass panelling, and ivy/vines.
To elaborate a little: The flat roof will make more sense, and the ladder with the ivy will camouflage better.
Another option for if you rebuild the house: make the flat roof area Kevin's meditation or yoga balcony. It could even be over the gym. I prefer the conservatory idea, though... You could disguise the sneak out window as a garden with debug plants
you can change the entrance location and make it going to the living room
I’d love for him to do another separate build video for a new house
bulldoze the house and start over! It's already too cramped so you might as well build something that works for them
I love how entertained James gets from Buddy the cat. It's also a lot of less work than the dogs were
James wants to bye a business. Also James 'Let's buy and renovate a new house, and buy all the funitures again!! YEAH!!🤣'
I recommend putting a potty seat on each floor. It saves a lot of time! Also, you could put some toddler toys, like the blocks, Wabbit Tablet, Blarfy... out in the home gym, so Breanne could play while Dad (Kevin) works out.

A New House would be great. With a playroom for the kids and an office for Reginald!
I love the idea of Reginald being strongly against Adison hanging out with Hilary. MORE OF THAT PLEASE! Make real rival families!

You could move some furniture in Addison's room and make the sneak out window the other one, the one that has the bed currenctly under. You'll might have to reduce the size of the chinmey on the side, but I guess it would make the look of the house more harmonic.
Ah, 2 in a row. Perfect. Thanks, James!☺
I feel sad about the new house cause it doesn't feel like an upgrade
Tip for the independent trait for toddlers: They learn faster by themselves, parents or siblings intervening slows them down (or at least makes them unhappy).
