The fact you did a separate accessable bathroom even though we don't have wheelchairs fills me with such joy ♡ always thinking about the disabled and how to improve our lives. Thats why we love kayla!

The building entrance still has steps though. As a daughter of a wheelchair bound handicapped parent, it irks me in real life when places say they have accessibility but then the entrance had a slight step or there's a curb along the 'handicapped" parking spot.

@@coraj4321it’s the sims. There’s no way to have a ramp and there’s no point in putting a ramp given that there’s no disabled sims.
Kayla, you need to leave the paint off the platform until after the stairs are placed. Not sure why, but many of the platform paints block stairs from being placed. Have encountered this frustrating glitch myself.
TS4 has so many absurd glitches
ETA: I found one just the other day! I couldn't put a stair one tile away from a platform in one specific spot, even though I could on the rest of the platform, because _there was a diagonal wall beneath it on the floor below._ Actually ridiculous

When our sims work on a project they get a huge speed bonus when they're in the inspired mood. The same applies to RL.
lilsimsie probably got inspired by browsing too many RL auditoriums, which greatly helped her finish it in a few hours.
She’s literally doing what she does every other month, just raising money instead. When she isn’t streaming she’s working, and it’s not like she streams 24/7. Even her 24 hour unpaused streams are low maintenance (and boring).
My first thought when I saw that you have to copy and paste the building each time for each version was that you could make a completely different building depending on the event. Does it make sense? Not at all, but it is very chaotic and kind of gives time traveler vibes
Funny to think they just like tear down the building every week. Then rebuild for each event.

I didn’t realize you have to save them separately, i thought it would’ve saved altogether. I also don’t build on the dynamic lots so I guess maybe Eco lifestyle has that issue too with the community centers
From what I remember of Eco Lifestyle, yes it's the same. Though with the community centers, you would technically only have one version active at all times, depending on what it was voted to be, so it wouldn't be changing weekly. Probably.
Yeah, the community centers work the same way. You have to save each individually.
I was just building a community center and I did most of the building with the lot type generic. Then I changed the lot type to community center and it appeared on all the four lots. I just had to adjust each lot like add selling tables to one and plants to the other etc. But I don't know if it then saves all four lots to the gallery 🤔
Thank you for including an accessible-like toilet. I know it's unnecessary in the Sims, but as someone who uses a wheelchair I really appreciate when someone represents that in the Sims. Unfortunately sometimes it feels like the Sims makes disabled people more invisible as we're not represented in these digital worlds we inhabit, and it improves my mood so much when someone remembers we exist.
if i was a sims builder i would totally make a storage room for the auditorium and put all the different event stuff in there when theyre not being used,, like the balloon arches and career day banners (and just make it inaccessible to sims so they dont go in there 💀)

hiii i’m not sure if it’s a lighting glitch or not but i noticed that the banners/ceiling streamers in the graduation version are black in a random spot and gold everywhere else

omg kayak that turned out so good i HATED the outside but you made it actually fit! the inside is incredible too, career day might be a little less painful next time around!
my sims have never had a graduation ceremony. maybe the game saw that i had 2 high school graduations and decided, “that’s it, that’s enough for you”
@Evelyn Berry I would say, if you like building or cas, absolutely yes, it’s worth it just for that. But if you’re a gameplay person, I’d get it on sale. It can be boring and repetitive at times, but it also feels full and enriching. Additionally, the world (and the faire) are great for screenshots and quite nice for casual gameplay. I don’t regret buying it
the normal auditoriums stage is one tile farther out than the other lots
I bought this dlc last week and quickly replaced original school with yours ☺️ I was thinking it would be so cool if you had the option to sort builds in gallery by the actual lot you're in. I always get confused since my game is in a different language and names are all over the place 😅
Would you consider redoing them but without any pack limitations? I know it will be a headache, but I think it would be really cool!
I remember for my graduation and others at my high school we’d hold them in the gymnasium. The school had a giant tarp they’d put over the basketball court to make sure none of the chairs or anything they placed on the floor would scuff it up

It does my head in because “oh we left it for you to build!” Isn’t that up to them? If we wanted to build it ourselves we would just change it?
Yeah the older Sims games all had perfectly fine houses to play in. They weren't like overly decorated and definitely not as good as you can build yourself or get from someone else, but they were still functional and good enough. Sims 4 they wanted to be more of a 'sandbox' where EVERYTHING is up to the player to do.. which is just stupid in my opinion. It's partly why sims have no personality and there was no story progression for so long. They said they wanted "player agency" but that's something that should be toggled not just completely left out. I, like Kayla, enjoy when there's chaos going on in Sims games. It adds to the life sim part of the game. I don't want absolute perfection 24/7 nor do I want to have to cause the chaos myself because then it's not really chaotic.
I rebuilt the auditorium as well. My auditorium build is still basically just a box, but at least it's a box with a roof. I'm currently playtesting it before I upload all the different event versions of it to the Gallery, and it's taking a while to playtest because I have to wait for all the different events to roll around -- I've already playtested Career Day and Prom, and now my Teen Sims are aging up and getting ready for Graduation.
In my build, the default Auditorium looks like it's almost ready to be used for a school play or choir concert, with a piano and a few microphones, a couple of the acting marks from Get Famous on the stage floor, and a partially complete mural from City Living on the back wall of the stage as if some of the students are painting a backdrop for the school play.
For the Career Day version, I put down the required tables and a few computers, but I also added some tables and chairs, a few vending machines, a photo booth, a selfie backdrop, a music player and one of the cardboard dance floors from Get Together as if the school had set up a hangout spot in order to make Career Day seem like a more interesting event to the students.
Prom is decorated in white and lavender with dim crimson lighting, and as far as items go, it's mostly just the standard prom stuff with the addition of a Get Together dance floor, as well as one of the Bubble Blowers from City Living hidden out back because we all know what kind of shenanigans some teens get up to at prom.
Graduation is graduation, I tried to make the decorations look more stately and serious.
Lot Traits for all the versions are Natural Lighting to up the selfie game, and Party Place so that hopefully our Sims can complete all their event tasks and still have some time left over for us the players to do the storytelling we want to do.
How is this video how I find graduation and career day take you to an active lot and isn’t a rabbit hole. I didn’t even realise this part of the pack was broken for me.
I’ve never gotten to have graduation in my game. When my sims age up it just says they graduated lol
The ceremony happens the next Sunday after they age up, sometimes it doesn't appear on the calendar but you should get a pop up on that day asking you to go
I wonder if they are making things like this easier on the gallery. In the last patch notes they mentioned they are still working on the gallery.

You didn’t fix the stage size on the original build. It’s 5 deep on the original, and 4 deep on the other 3.

I already downloaded all of them including the high-school it took me a bit my rose Gen Sim keeps skipping 1 class and talks his way out of it twice now how?... I will never understand him to be fair he's a serial romantic so what do I know
I loved decorating the career day, i did more tables and made up a career for each colour. Decorated around that, so doctor would have a skeleton next to him etc.
feel like this lot type could be something to add to every where. like where I place a park, I could easily change it to a wedding venue - so the wedding stuff isn’t up at all time. did that make sense?

i rebuilt mine to have a theater with a different play/musical going on for each different event, and i went OFF with the star wars pack for a star wars themed show😂

I’m a teacher the one school I’ve worked at with tiles like the one you put in was built in the 1930’s it was a private all girls school. I’ve also seen “fancy” tiles in public schools I’ve visited but they tend to be older schools.

Renovating the auditorium is a great idea. I think the gurus choice to make each type as a separate download so players can decide which ones they want if they don't want all of them.

I literally just finished renovating my auditorium too! I went through the same process figuring out to build the auditorium then save it to the library to copy for the subvenues. I didnt upload to gallery because i didnt think the subvenues save on the gallery

I am trying to download auditorium builds off the gallery, for which there are usually 4 different uploads, but when they are placed it changes the lot type to "generic" and you are no longer able to use the tabs to change from formal dance to career day ect, then if you exit and come back all the lot types are changed to the one that was downloaded and it changes back to auditorium.. no idea how to fix this :\
Kayla should work at ea for the sims 4 and do all the default buildings 😊

For prom the venue should be reconfigured to allow for a table that can be used for placing a birthday cake on it. That way the sim could age up at prom by blowing out the candles, increasing the likelihood that the sim can be elected prom royalty.
Please note that this increase of odds is less than that of having high charisma skill…

I think simmers only made the community lots and the houses. I believe the school + auditorium were from the Sims team themselves

The stairs probably couldn’t go on the platform, because they could already step up it? That’s only a guess, though, as I normally don’t put stairs on a platform if they can step up already. So if you know, then, please enlighten me 😊. Also I love that you’ve redone this too. Amazing ❤
Sims will only step up a 1 high platform without stairs. Supposedly the reason for the stairs is painting the platform. If you paint it before placing the stairs they just don't work.
