I've been to the Cyclades a few times but never to Milos. Nice to see that you didn't run into hordes of tourists. I read that the Mediterranean is full of crowds this year. Love those white Greek buildings and the clear blue Aegean. I hope you do some more of these close-up . in depth tours of small places.
That’s awesome you’ve visited the Cyclades, which islands were your favorite? I’m sure it’ll be packed this summer, we were there in May before the crowds, the water was a little chilly though 😅
@@RyanShirley That's the right time to go, before there are too many cruise ships. I've been to Mykonos (but don't go for that party scene), Delos, Santorini (way too popular now since Instagram), Naxos. Also Rhodes and Chios in the Dodecanese and Corfu and Ithaca in the Ionians which I recommend because they are forested. Separate trips not all one. I hope my recommendations on Milford Sound were helpful.
Looks like paradise bro! You should check out some more countries in Central and South America, especially Costa Rica (which I actually visited this year) and Chile 😊
I’ll try to see more of central and South America soon. I plan to go to Patagonia this year

My son jumped from the top spot in Sarakiniko.... we, senior citizens jumped from the lower formation, it was a blast !
We also took the boat tour and it was fantastic experience, windy, so the Captain had to modify the trip but still beautiful !

Have you ever been to Karpathos? It is my absolute favorite Greek island, and way off the radar for most foreign tourists. It is a stunningly beautiful and wild place, and completely authentic still.

Top 10 indeed. With honourable mention to Papafragas Caves. Maybe you didn't pass through there, but if you had it probably would have made the list.
Nevertheless, this is a great list, and has couple of places we missed when we were there.

@@RyanShirley There are caves yes. It's not easy to get down to the water but if you descended to Tsigrado, it's nothing.
Just go back man. One can never grow tired of any island in Greece. And if/when you do, check out Paleochori too. You won't be disappointed 🔥

Awesome video man! just curious, do you color grade in davinci resolve or somewhere else?
I use Adobe premiere to edit, but honestly I barely did any color correction, just added some brightness and a little saturation.
Looks an amazing place! How did you get there from Athens, flight or ferry?
I took a ferry and was able to bring a rental car on. You can also take a short flight, I just try to avoid airports as much as possible 😅

I found a Airbnb near Polonia but Milos is pretty small as long as your near Adamantas or Plaka, you can get to most places in just 10-20 minutes. I’d just recommend finding a hotel/Airbnb you like that’s near those areas

Hey Ryan, I’m studying this island in college! There was an infamous massacre here in 416 bce when the Athenians sent ships here to kill all of the men of the island after the island refused to join the Athenian empire during the Peloponnesian War. Are there any archaeology sites you saw? The church looked to be on old ruins.
Wow i didn’t know about that! That’s wild actually. There is some archeological sites, I believe the church is built on a old fortress.

I was there in May! October should still be nice, there will be way less people and water should still be warm enough to swim.

What places did you eat at while you were there?
There’s so many great restaurants and options, some of my favorites were O! Hamos! Tavern and the truffle pasta at Barriello
Looks beautiful but very hot and dry. Almost desolate. Any animals in the water there?
The landscapes are volcanic making it look desolate in spots but there was a good amount of greenery. There wasn’t too much in the water besides small fish. Maybe if you were lucky you could see a dolphin
