OUR STORY:
Kristina and John are two Aussies 🦘 who met when they were just teenagers at high school! Kristina went on to become a TV Journalist and John an Airline Pilot flying all over the world.. which is where their passion for travel first began!
In 2021, we packed up our apartment and took "one-year off work" before purchasing the boat of our dreams!! We documented our adventures sailing around Australia, and when global covid boarders opened, we began travelling overseas. We've since visited more than 60+ countries!
Kristina is now a full time TH-camr and John a part time Commercial Pilot onboard a Boeing 737 (listen out for his name on your next flight!) and our goal is to explore and share the most incredible destinations by... 🚐🚗⛵️✈️!!

Man you really covered Paros way better than I did. We stayed in Noussa, but went to Kolmbytries beach, Lefkes and hiked to Pordromos, plus a day trip to Antiparos. Then again we didn't have a ton of time there either.

You missed....Panagia Ekatontapiliani (literally the church with 100 doors) or Panagia Katapoliani is a historic Byzantine church complex in Parikia town, on the island of Paros in Greece. That is a must see the second oldest church in Christendom.
I agree I was shocked when I found out how old it was. But I think it's the oldest church built as a church and in service.
We did see it - it was amazing - but we were told not take photos or video, so we weren’t able to include it. But THANK you for sharing this, I hope people look out for it on their travels ❤️❤️

I’m a regular in Paros (since 2008) and this vlog is quite spot on! Some of my secret places remain safe (;-), but this is a great overview. I’ll share for the travel community at least one of my parian secrets: Trypiti. Can’t wait to snorkle there next…saturday! And here’s a final hint: Kolombitres is way over hyped (but with the fantastic Anemos tavernae)so there’s always so many tourists. You’ll see. Yassou!

We are going there in a few weeks! Flight booked from New York to Athens! A few days in Athens, then Paros, then Patras and Nafpaktos to see relatives, and other sights in the Peloponnese, and possibly Kefallonia and/or Corfu! Can't wait... taking our daughter for her 'Sweet 16' gift of a lifetime! 3 weeks of pure bliss! My only gripe: I will miss my precious best friend (Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog/Black Lab mix) while i'm gone, but he'll be taken care of...

Well done! Headed to Paros soon and this was great. Did you dabble in the nightlife at all? Was hoping to see some of that mixed in. Going to have to check out Naxos video next to see if it's worth splitting our time between the two islands, but that sunset from Naxos looked epic.

Hey Kristina , imo your video & audio quality is well above the average TH-cam sailing stuff...so as my wife & I are going on a RTW trip for 6 weeks (sadly on a big boat), we'd appreciate a heads up in what 'kit' to buy to record our trip & experiences. Please confirm what you use & how you do it - incl post production s/w. Thanks.
Hey Mike, so nice to hear from you! And great to hear you're about to go on holidays how fun! I use quite a bit of gear actually!! I have a Canon DSLR camera, with several lens (let me know and i can go through them with you. But the kit is worth about $8k 😳) we also have a DJI Mavic S2 drone, I use my iphone from time to time (which mind you is fantastic these days, you could honestly get away with filming in 4K on an iPhone), I also have a GoPro Hero 9 for action shots. In terms of post production, I edit on FCPX available on Mac only, but if you want to just get started, iMovie is fine, that's what I started out on :) Hope this helps! If i've missed anything let me know :)

Heyyy, I’m from Paros! Generally it’s not the cheapest destination. The last years it seems to be kind of expensive. But of course you can find very good prices depending on where you are going to stay and eat. The earlier you book your stay the better the price ☺️

I love Greece and I was a frequent visitor who always stayed at hotels in Greece, at least 60 days each year. But I will not visit Greece until the documents about Covid, and all the questions about vaccines and also all restrictions will be removed. See you in 1 year! Or 10 years? It's up to you, dear Greeks! The very best of the bests!

I went to Paros for a week in 1986 . It was a boring place . No cars to rent or taxis , only a little motor cycle . The dirt roads were dangerous . I saw a marble mine which the Ancient Greeks used. Never saw a monastery .

Both very different! But I think I liked Paros more. 🧡
I agree with Kristina: so close, but so different. Same goes for Sifnos, for Serifos. My advice: base yourself in Paros and do day trips, via ferry, to Sifnos, Serifos, Naxos and Delos - Mykonos.
