where did you buy the YB boxes? Are they from Kipshagen?
Yes I believe they are. We purchased them from a company called Petron Lofts in the UK but I believe they imported them from Kipshagen.
Hi, I see that in the young birds section, there is wood divider to modify the depth of every space.
Which is the purpose for it?
I am a beginner. Thanks.
Hi Alex. We like to keep our birds in small sections to keep them under control and tame where possible hence why we have the dividing doors that can be closed if needed. It also helps when basketing the birds for training or racing.

What you use for floor dressing mate?
We use Versele Laga wood chips and Harkers Loft Treatment every so often.

Hi James. We bought them from Petron Lofts a few years ago. We're about to replace them with Hermes boxes in the next few weeks.

It's a difficult balance Ian. Being a schoolteacher I've been working from home this year but am back in the classroom from tomorrow. As much as I've enjoyed being home, the sooner we can all resume our normal live the better. Atb Ian
Nice set up. Do you use lime to keep the lift clean ?
Thanks Helen. No we don't use lime but we do occasionally use Harkers floor powder which acts as a disinfectant too killing bacteria and disease. It's an excellent product.
Last question were do you get the easimec from
Hyperdrug however there's a product made by Schroeder Tollisan called U200 that's very good. We may try that next time and compare how good it is to Easimec.

These are always excellent. They try picking them but they're too big so they do the job fine. Saves work and the birds like it.

MR H I'm from SA when do you guys start racing ?
@@benitojeffries2923 we start on April 24th. We normally get the birds out on the first fine day in March in preparation for the season. Like yourselves, there are lots of hawks and falcons in the area so we wait until the Spring before letting them out again. What about you, do you race during your Winter?
We start in winter very hard races strong winds and sometime snow then we need before summer gets to hot
That is difficult Benito. Thankfully our summers are generally on the cool side so it's good pigeon weather. It tends to get hotter when they race from France and Belgium but nothing like SA. Which part of SA are you from?
