Hi Hamilton Liu. We purchased the baskets from the UK national pigeon show in Blackpool a few years ago. They were sold by a man who was sharing a stand with Jeff Walton. Here's Jeff's website, maybe he can help: jeffwaltonpigeons.co.uk/
well done glad your back to winning ways sorry about Ramsgate be careful with youngsters we in east anglia are having rubbish training and racing lots of loses without any reasons look like bad year for young all the best in your young bird season Trevor
Thank you Trevor. The training locally has been pretty erratic too unfortunately with some fanciers losing half of their teams before racing. Thankfully we have 45 from 48 trained and ready to go on Saturday. Hoping and praying for a good racing day.
Hi Tomo. We're doing OK thanks. We had our first young bird race last weekend which was a poor race overall for the federation. Our own team have more experience for the coming weekend so hopefully we'll get a better team performance.
The birds were racing from Ramsgate which is 211 miles to us but the racing was poor even from our federation race on the same day which was 70 miles. It was a day when, for whatever reason, the birds were unable to navigate correctly.
@@carwynharrisracingpigeons9387 my first year in racing. This year only tested my birds. I wil be more ambitions next year. I am an amateur. Im only interested in the excitement
I have only been to Turkey once on holiday. We stayed near Bodrum (Turgutries was the name of the town). We had a wonderful time. When we come next, I will let you know and if I'm near we'll arrange a meet up. Good luck with your pigeons Ata-Isil.
There have been smash training tosses in the USA also, likely due to solar flares. Very interesting that the pigeons across the world have had smash races/training tosses during the same days. Other fanciers in Belgium have also had poor races and training tosses in the last 2 days. It might be a good idea to check the weather forecast for solar flares before sending the pigeons. What do you think about that? I would be interested to know your opinion. Thanks! Dan Herman, Norco, California, USA.
Hi Dan. We've thought about doing exactly the same thing. The training has been so erratic here that fanciers are getting them to around 20 miles and then relying on racing to get them going. I'll have a look at the solar flare forecasts 👍.
@@carwynharrisracingpigeons9387 I also wonder if the 5G cellular tower emissions will cause the pigeons to get lost. Just a thought. How have the losses been lately around your area? I hope this is not going to be a problem for our sport. You are doing a great job on your TH-cam videos and I really appreciate all of your knowledge and experience.
Shame about loosing those birds as you said everyone up and down the country had a disastrous race here’s hoping your youngsters have a great YB season and fill the gap’s in the race team for next year
@@carwynharrisracingpigeons9387 it’s definitely pigeon racing the highs are great but you’ve also got to deal with the lows unfortunately here’s wishing you and your dad a great YB season and looking forward to seeing the updates on TH-cam
We've tried a few bags of Beyers Enzymix just for a bit of variety. Time will tell if it makes a difference but it's lovely corn and the birds seem to enjoy it. I've watched the Beyers Champions of Belgium videos on TH-cam so we're following the feeding system in combination with our Matador feed.
The weather was cloudy but not unacceptable. The racing was disastrous all over the country with the majority from races of 100 - 200 miles. How was your racing on this weekend?
Hi Freedom. We've developed our family as they are today over the past 30 years. They're based on Vandenabeele, Janssen and Heremans birds that have performed well for us and remained. We're not too bothered about fancy pedigrees; just winners!
Hi Chris. Some people said that there was a lot of solar flare activity on the day but this has been the case on other race days since and the birds have homed ok. It will remain a mystery as to why it was such a bad weekend.
Hi. Harris super videos lovely... Question from where did you buy the basket from I really like them . Can you send the link . Thanks from Canada 🇨🇦
