Another great video, your birds are looking great! Putting on the ETS rings is a pain isn't it but I've found if you buy some small brown envelopes (£1 for 50 from B & M bargains) and write on each of them your racing ring numbers and then as you assign the ETS rings pop them in the relevant envelope and seal it up. All you have to do then is on basket night, catch a bird, look for the corresponding envelope, rip it open and put the ETS ring onto the bird. You can double check it's right by placing the bird over the pad 👍 Saves time and stops any mistakes. Thanks again, look forward to races 3 & 4
Hi Carwyn, great video, nice too see them coming home in 3’s and 4’s. Bit different down here for the lads in Pembroke . I’m not racing as I’ve been working away but I’m home for a month so I’m getting too watch my neighbours on race day🙌 Good luck for the season 👍👍
Hiya Ian. Yes that extra 50/60 miles makes all the difference for you boys. The racing has been generally OK up here. We'll hopefully have a team of 30 birds for the first National which is what we aim for. Atb
They b winning soon need longer race looks like the races are training tosses for them to fresh but after hearing about getting them ready for national s you’re on a winner building them up for the top prizes 🥳
We've always made a late run at the Nationals Brian; only starting in the 3rd or 4th week of the season. It's a risky strategy as the more experienced birds have already got their racing line. We're confident that the quality is there so 🤞 they start to get closer to the top spot.
Hi Harry. We have 16 old birds in the loft for next year. They're a nice bunch so we'll hopefully set them up for the longer races; whether that be from the north or preferably south east.
