In the Fires of Raven ending you take your schizo meds and lose your coral gf.
In the Liberator of Rubicon you get to obliterate V.II Snail twice. Its pretty obvious which one of these endings is superior.
and if you did the true ending you get a two for one double stack combo with both snail and another insufferable character you get to kill not twice but three times!
But in liberator you have to kill walter
@@gibbongaming6338 Meh, True ending final fight was more a 'really, THAT'S your ace in the hole?' type thing to me. Like, you couldn't have grabbed someone more competent? Also that fight sucks HARD for mnk users who don't use hard lock. I was pretty much forced to run dual zims because of stage 2, and lightweight builds have an unreasonably more difficult time on stage 3, due to the absurd moveset.

@@Weyland_PunaniAnecdotal evidence is not conclusive, especially when it is so easy to disprove in your case. There is clearly a degree of randomization as evidenced by the dialogue for low health and for withdrawing. Sometimes the friendly acs take a lot of damage in a burst and say both lines right after each other, sometimes there is a period of time between as it takes multiple attacks to whittle them down. Simply put, it is normally Iguazú, then snail, then chatty as they have increasingly tanky builds.
@@Weyland_Punani except it isn't the exact same way every time. You can literally look up videos on this site if you actually cared. For example, there are videos where iguazu and snail go down at the exact same time, during the same attack. You can literally see there callsigns disappear at the same time, yet in another video you can see Iguazu go down first. It clearly isn't the exact same every time. All I need is one example to disprove your claim and the evidence literally exists on this site.

Snail and Michigan are two sides of the same coin. both are hardasses, but Michigan is actually a good person who shows his care to his troops in his own way (even to deserters and disappointments like iguazu),and snail is just asshole through and through, sending you and rusty to kill each other.
They need to make a dlc where the red guns survive. Michigan is the second best character right behind rusty.
Honestly Michigan and Carla feel pretty close to me in terms of favorites. Honestly though I wish we could get an animated miniseries going through the events of AC6 from Rusty's perspective.

To be fair, AC6 is full of great characters. Walter, Rusty, Michigan, Chatty, Carla, Ayre to name the obvious examples.
V.5 is also a nice guy, "Honest" Brute is really charming, "Invincible" Rummy is funny, G6 Red is endearing. Even V.2 Snail has his value of being the guy you love to kill.
I recalled Michigan referred to me as "Raven", and that alone takes him out of my shitlist
I'd really just like a balam wins the corpo war endgame as a dlc, triggered by introducing new missions that hamper arquebus more and stop them getting their hands on as much PCA tech as they do, kinda bothered me in ng++ that the early cataphract kill didn't negate the later cataphract mission letting you go on the wall mission negating both instances of pca control that would then mean arquebus had less to seize so they'd have less to use against balam, balam then taking the endgame lead. A dlc path with changes like that could be cool. Also bothered me you could never go all in with any of the organisations too. I was super trying to be an arquebus shill first playthrough cos I wanted an arquebus wins end, it'd be funny, even if I do know they're brainwashy and full of snails and swinburnes.
You know the voice actor is good when they can make their character instantly unlikable the moment they open their mouth.

I got so fucking mad when he was all "did what, the bare minimum?" Even my biggest hater Petty Queen Iguazu had to give me some credit on the ice worm mission, but not Snail. He's just too good for that apparently.
Because Queen Iguana of the Salt isn't actually your hater - he WANTS to be as as cool as 621 but he just can't and the rest of the story is him malding over the fact.

Think only person he indiscriminately treats like shit instead of just trying to make people not underestimate opponents is iguazu but that's just because iguazu doesn't respect fucking anybody.
My absolute favorite Vesper moment is when V.8 Pater basically reads a letter from Rusty, while doing a exaggerated impression of Rusty. "I knew you could do it (Dramatic Pause) Buddy..."
Pater and Freud should've gotten more screentime, why'd we get several instances of V.II being a twofaced clown lmao. The cartoon clown horn and slipping sound doesn't help either 🤣

I can imagine the reason 621 doesn’t talk is because they are ether too focus to keep his mic on or forgot to have the mic on from laughing at all the goofy enemies he is killing.

Controversial opinion: I love/hate Snail, because he's perfectly hateable while not being pathetic like Iguazu (the other Most Hateable.)
For me it’s the opposite. Iguazu is basically Sisyphus if he was the pettiest person alive and even if he knows he can never kill 621 he’ll keep trying, in a sort of absurdist way I can respect that. Based on his arena bio the only reason he became an AC pilot was it was the only way to pay off his gambling debt and force to take botched gen4 augmentation which is why he’s jealous of 621 being the “freelancer who had it all.”
To me Snail is just a dime-a-dozen corporate psychopath, I’d argue he seemed to hate 621 even more than Iguazu does but admitting that they were a threat to him in anyway would be too much of a blow to his ego.
@@Un_Important Yeah, I've began pitying the guy because if he had put all that effort into improving himself, he could've very well became as prestiged as G1 Michigan if not more. But he instead gave into a hyperfixated hate towards one particular person, whom of which he blamed all his problems upon. He burned away everything he was just for a chance to even a score that was rigged against him since the beginning. Likening this struggle to a Sisyphean task is quite an apt way to put it.
Snail, personally, felt less impactful to me. Some pompous tool who got a hold of a good lump of money to afford the best-in-class augmentations (that was tested on others to ensure efficient results, of course) in order to flaunt some vain sense of superiority funded by the blood of others.

So funny thing about this bit @3:50. My run of the Ice Worm mission actually had SNAIL die first, and Iguazu managed to hold on until Phase 3 where the Ice Worm went into Rage Mode and did that massive burst attack, which took both him and Chatty out of the battle.
As far as I am concerned, that is the canon event of the Ice Worm mission: Snail is such a basic bitch that even Iguazu outlasted him.
BTW, if you ignore him in Eliminate "Cinder" Carla, he'll call you out in the following mission and he's mega-cheesed about it. Even angrier than trying to kill him.

Both him and Iguazu are fun to bully, since their both essentially (whether intentional or not) a reference to those people who cry about “(insert fromsoftware game name) is too haaaaard! It needs a easy mode.”
With Iguazu being the ones who always comeback without learning from their last mistake, with them genuinely having the determination to play these games if they could just get over themselves and accept failure. And Snail being: lose once. goes insane and probably hacks the game to get an unfair advantage but still dies.

Don't know why, but many people just got along with the english dub, while the first thing i did was turning on japanese sub. Would you be surprised to know that our hated V.II Snail is voiced by the almighty Dio himelf? Kinda puts him in a whole new light imo.
IMPORTANT EDIT, before misinformation spreads: at first this was my impression, but then something was off, the more i digged into the game. Turns out I was wrong, since V.II Snail is actually voiced by Hiromichi Tezuka, in the japanese version. For more context, he's the voice of our beloved Korosensei, from Assassination Classroom. The amount of sounding variation he achieved startled me, since he also took TOO MANY minor roles (most of which from One Punch Man) which I didn't even recognize! Anyway, again, didn't want to spread misinformation, but it STILL seems crazy that V.II Snail, the most hated character from AC VI, shares voice with Korosensei, the absolute unit of the untouchable Chad he is from Assassination Classroom.

I got the encounter where, upon skipping over his initial fight on Xylem, he shows back up. Began malding about how I ignored him and proceeded to kick my ass worse than any boss prior, besides the Coral AC in the abandoned city. Came back with a speed build, equipped with dual miniguns and worm-killer stun cannons. Was satisfyingly cathartic.
so i know most people tend to have G5 die first during the Iceworm mission, but last time i played it, Snail went down first, then G5 right after, so he cut off Snail's dialogue about him withdrawing.

I played my 621 as a guy whose brain was so messed up he confuses a desire to fight someone with a display of affection since he used to do prize fighting and made friends with long-time pilots.
He just kind of tried to avoid Snail because he seemed too sad to take seriously. Not even the cute kind Iguazu had going on where he's self aware of it and thus has potential. The bad kind where Snail's painfully unaware of how stupidly pathetic he is and hides it behind advanced tech.
