What if Rusty was the main character instead of 621? || Armored Core 6

- An alternate timeline in which Rusty's main character energy actually manifested itself into plot armor to keep him alive when a reeducated Walter ambushes him after destroying the Arquebus interceptor fleet sent to destroy the Xylem
Just a fun idea that I've had in my head for a while, took about three days to gather footage, edit dialogue and music, and add subtitles

Technically Rusty build are suited for those kind of mission: he's very fast and mobile.
And shooting heavy metallic Spike at cockpit of ship are something priceless to imagine
This is dark souls/elden all over again, an story fullied with depression but that fans turn into something wholesome and i love it

I like to think with a bit of Project Aces touch right here with Rusty calling you “buddy” it’s nostalgic to say the least. It would’ve been even more ironic if the VA was Yuri Lowenthal. That would’ve hit all the places at once.
I agree with the sentiment but the wholesomeness is *in the text.* AC6 has an endearing streak of idealistic humanism that I always love seeing in mecha properties.

@@ceacaralex3994 4 months late, but I agree. Would really flesh out all the characters, especially those in Vespers and RLF, who I believe, don't get enough screen time compared to the Redguns and PCA

Thank you! I recorded a few missions that feature dialogue from Rusty, Arquebus, Snail and Walter, and rearranged them in a way that feels coherent and fits given the context. I had a blast with Rusty's lines specifically since his voice actor Chris Hackney just NAILS it :]

4:33 could have been a cut scene with rusty evading and 616/arye tell him to finish off the engines, then help finish walter
I did think about having a section where Rusty flies in and destroys the ramjet engines, but I decided to cut it since the video was getting a little long and I didn't quite know how to make it flow smoothly

Unfortunately, I don't have any friends on pc who also have Armored Core 6, but if any of them do I'm sure they'd be down to help with future projects
Honestly Fromsoft really missed several opportunities to use these characters more effectively, and which one appearing/living/attempting to stop you is a great way to make the players choices matter. Like imagine the Liberator ending except instead of just Snail, its Snail and Freud.
Additionally they could've easily made a 'Final Ending' that included ALL the bosses. You fight Rusty as he attempts to stop the Xylum, you fight Snail and Freud, Carla and Chattie, Walter and finally Allmind.
There's just so much potential and I pray whatever they make next, be it another game or expansion for this one, creates a truly ultimate ending that feels like a marathon

Really nice job here, excellent piloting and editing, makes me think that an ac game with multiple playable characters could work, would have liked a it more input from Ayre at the end though.

Because Rusty fought Walter instead; to me it would seem a little out of place for Walter to talk about 621 when they're not present

The best mission & best final boss in the game. Too bad it's 2 different endings.
It is a shame, indeed. Personally, I enjoy ALLguazu the most because of the sheer ridiculousness of the fight :]

As cool as Steel Haze Ortus looks, the internals aren't the best. The viento pistol and laser twinblade are nice, but they need something more to spice it up
@@thePontiffsSnickerdoodles The P04 is actually an INCREDIBLY good booster. The generator is fine, but the FCS is as good as it could be with making sense in the story. So really, the only bad thing is the generator, but I'm not sure what other one would've been better while still fitting the story.
If you put the weapons of steel haze in SH ortus the build becomes very better, so maybe are the weapons
