Maul doesn't primarily mean "big hammer". To be mauled is to be attacked by an animal, biting and tearing. Maul in that sense is much better than Darth Big Hammer.
Sith normally fuck up along the way which gets them killed. Jedi are just bad at pasting down knowledge since it can lead to the dark side. There are light side abilities that can rival the dark it's just Jedi rarely tread the path due to fear of being corrupted by it. Since they know their flaws it's why Jedi avoid fighting so much because when they down to taking planets they can get just like Sith.

Alot of this info is from comics and novels, I recently brought the old republic novel trilogy to read along with the darth plagueis novel. While this channel is awesome most of the knowledge here is obtainable if you can get hands on novels and comics. Some will however be impossible to get as the no longer in print which makes this channel imo the go to star wars channel

One of the things I love about the Legacy series was how it brought back so much from the ancient Sith times. Karness Muur, Andeddu, and more. I think it's possible Dooku may have learned some secrets from Andeddu, but given how much he hoarded his knowledge and was unwilling to share we can't be sure.

I would call the definition of Andeddu more of an analog a simplistic definition just like the others. For instance Sideous means Evil but hidden Plagius means Viral Plague but idk about maul cant even say that it means big hammer. Anyways this Darth Andeddu is one of the most mysterious characters ive ever heard or come across. Im eager to know more about this immortal sith or as he calls himself the Immortal God King of his homeworld.

Andeddu was indeed more knowledgeable and skilled in the ways of the dark side than both Plagueis and Sidious. Plagueis never actually found a way to cheat death as Palpatine lied about. If he did then Palpatine would've been dead. Killed shortly after he killed Plagueis. What Plagueis achieved was a way to influence the midi-chlorians to help heal wounds that were thought impossible to heal. Yes, he did strive to achieve immortality but in the end he never achieved such knowledge. Nor was he able to bring the dead back to life. Most of his experiments in the extension of life to achieve immortality lead to abominations that died shortly after they were created. And Sidious... Sidious not only wasn't able to achieve Plagueis skill in healing through means of the dark side, but he also didn't achieved true immortality. After all if it hadn't been for the ancient Sith ghosts that still dwell in Koriban he would've never been able to return from the dead after he died at the Death Star, away from any clone body to where to transfer his spirit into. Sidious became quite proficient at using Force Storm, but everytime he used that to for example devastate a planet, he had to switch body shortly after. The more he used the Dark Side the quicker his body degraded. I guess Andeddu, Exar Kun, Vitiate and Krayt. Are the only Sith that came close to achieving true immortality. Close but never quite there.

But all those who tried failed or even worst had to exist in a form that brought them nothing but constant suffering and torment. Like Vitiate, who for all intended purposes achieved immortality but wasn't indestructible. Also he had to live in constant torment as we find out at the end of the book Revan. Sion, was also apparently immortal but only as long as he was in constant suffering, the moment he let go of his pain, he died. And of course we got cases, like Nihilus that got his body consumed by the dark side, and was forced to contain his essence in the mask he wore and also he had to devore the Force from other living beings or eventually the dark side would consume him completely. In the end all Sith have failed to achieve true immortality, or even anything resembling that. Even Andeddu had to create that talisman, that contained his spirit, which he used to try and find powerful Force users he could possess their bodies. But spent most of the time either lost or even when he found a Force user he or she wouldn't go down without a fight and so his instrument of immortality actually became his personal hell.

I guess in that regard Marka Ragnus surpassed all of them. His mastering of Sith alchemy and magic, allowed him to rule unchallenged for a very long time. Until he died of old age. Palpatine was an artist at using people. When the #3 opened, OW and Anakin were rescuing Palpatine from count Deku. When Palpatine gave Anakin the order to kill him, that would have been the opportunity to confide in his Master that he knew that secret, but he didn't. He just stared. So either Deku didn't know or Palpatine had been tracking his progress before, during and after he had discovered it.
Sidious is short for insidious. It doesn’t mean “crazy”. It means something bad, or a threat, that comes from within. Since he was trying to destroy the republic but did so as a member of the republic, the name makes a lot of sense.
Bader Altayyar this is true. the troopers were all excellent shots and were complimented many times. now before you mention ewoks, lemme tell you that those troopers were on unfamiliar ground. and ewoks are as strong as wookies, so a rock thrown from them will most likely cause a lot of damage.

And also, if you are caught off guard in unfamiliar territory, you are caught off guard in unfamiliar territory. training or no training. also a rock thrown at full force to the head will at least knock you out. either way you look at it, empire was unprepared.

Nah, Nihilus didnt transfered himself into his robes and mask. After destruction of Malachor V, only he survived but his body was destroyed, he was something like a force ghost so he used robes and that mask in order to have any sort of shape, he was one of the wounds in the Force. Anomaly.

So there might be a really big chance that Nihilus was using Andedda's knowledge. After all we know, Nihilus did somewhat remain in his Mask after he got defeated. Since his Mask survied until Palpatine's reign, he does seem to have found some way to eternal life too.
He may have eternal life but I also read that he has no hope of ever being strong enough to reform his body. For all intents and purposes, Nihlus is pretty much dead.
Justin is right. Furthermore, while Nihilus would have "eternal life", he also had an eternal hunger he could not possibly sate. He was a fissure, a wound, or a singularity in the force. Like Sion, he walked the fine line between life and death in an unsustainable way. They were most certainly permanently suffering, not a good existence to live.

Andeddu is the first sith in all of existence, not to mention the only force wielder in all of Star Wars who could conjure fire force powers! Only someone like Darth Nihilus or Abeloth could beat him, and in the end, what difference does it make? Andeddu would just use essence transfer and come back to life like corypheus from dragon age.

Couldn't agree more. He is quite possibly the most brilliant Jedi and Sith to have ever lived. His actions went beyond petty power trips or vengeance against the Jedi.

While Revan was an extraordinary example of ability within and knowledge of the force, his flip flopping of alignment, being vulnerable to numerous manipulations by both Vitiate and the Jedi Council, he was chaotic neutral at best and biopolar manic at his worst... His ordeal as a prisoner of the emperor fragmented his mind and diminishes his legacy to a fair extent. FFS, don't forget that he was killed by much lesser lords in the Foundry.
Another reason the Jedi are idiots: no knowledge is bad, it's what you do with the knowledge that's bad. The's no such thing as having too much knowledge. Banning and forbidding knowledge only means you'll be unprepared when someone else gets that knowledge and (in the case of the Sith) uses it against you.

Being immortal does not mean you cannot die by being killed, it just means you cannot die of age. Abeloth is immortal but died after being defeated, for example. The same thing happened to Vitiate, Darth Bane, Darth Nihilus, and many other immortals. They are also considered ''immortal souls'' as their physical body was practically non-existent or fake.

One of the things I love about the Legacy series was how it brought back so much from the ancient Sith times. Karness Muur, Andeddu, and more.
I think it's possible Dooku may have learned some secrets from Andeddu, but given how much he hoarded his knowledge and was unwilling to share we can't be sure.

I would call the definition of Andeddu more of an analog a simplistic definition just like the others. For instance Sideous means Evil but hidden Plagius means Viral Plague but idk about maul cant even say that it means big hammer.

Andeddu was indeed more knowledgeable and skilled in the ways of the dark side than both Plagueis and Sidious.
Plagueis never actually found a way to cheat death as Palpatine lied about. If he did then Palpatine would've been dead. Killed shortly after he killed Plagueis.
What Plagueis achieved was a way to influence the midi-chlorians to help heal wounds that were thought impossible to heal. Yes, he did strive to achieve immortality but in the end he never achieved such knowledge. Nor was he able to bring the dead back to life. Most of his experiments in the extension of life to achieve immortality lead to abominations that died shortly after they were created.
And Sidious... Sidious not only wasn't able to achieve Plagueis skill in healing through means of the dark side, but he also didn't achieved true immortality.
After all if it hadn't been for the ancient Sith ghosts that still dwell in Koriban he would've never been able to return from the dead after he died at the Death Star, away from any clone body to where to transfer his spirit into.
Sidious became quite proficient at using Force Storm, but everytime he used that to for example devastate a planet, he had to switch body shortly after. The more he used the Dark Side the quicker his body degraded.
I guess Andeddu, Exar Kun, Vitiate and Krayt. Are the only Sith that came close to achieving true immortality. Close but never quite there.

To be immortal so their reign of power never ends.
But all those who tried failed or even worst had to exist in a form that brought them nothing but constant suffering and torment.
Like Vitiate, who for all intended purposes achieved immortality but wasn't indestructible. Also he had to live in constant torment as we find out at the end of the book Revan.
Sion, was also apparently immortal but only as long as he was in constant suffering, the moment he let go of his pain, he died.
And of course we got cases, like Nihilus that got his body consumed by the dark side, and was forced to contain his essence in the mask he wore and also he had to devore the Force from other living beings or eventually the dark side would consume him completely.
In the end all Sith have failed to achieve true immortality, or even anything resembling that.
Even Andeddu had to create that talisman, that contained his spirit, which he used to try and find powerful Force users he could possess their bodies. But spent most of the time either lost or even when he found a Force user he or she wouldn't go down without a fight and so his instrument of immortality actually became his personal hell.

And such a Force user isn't brainwashed, into neglecting or dismissing the Force as a whole, and uses only parts of it.

Freedon Nadd was almost the same case as Andeddu. They both lost their original bodies and were forced to steal the bodies of others.
I guess in that regard Marka Ragnus surpassed all of them.
His mastering of Sith alchemy and magic, allowed him to rule unchallenged for a very long time. Until he died of old age.

Palpatine was an artist at using people. When the #3 opened, OW and Anakin were rescuing Palpatine from count Deku. When Palpatine gave Anakin the order to kill him, that would have been the opportunity to confide in his Master that he knew that secret, but he didn't. He just stared. So either Deku didn't know or Palpatine had been tracking his progress before, during and after he had discovered it.

Sidious is short for insidious. It doesn’t mean “crazy”. It means something bad, or a threat, that comes from within. Since he was trying to destroy the republic but did so as a member of the republic, the name makes a lot of sense.

Horse shit. I'm part of a rifle club and familiarity with the terrain doesn't mean jack for the accuracy of your shots. The only thing it may have hurt was their tactics, or their ability to find the target (which with the sensors on those helments also makes no sense). The Ewok won either because the plot said they needed too, or because the troopers had very minimal training.
Devon Stark ok well you wanna speak about training let me remind you that this was not long after the first death star blew up. all the trained troopers were on that station. so they had to train fresh recruits and fast. And also, if you are caught off guard in unfamiliar territory, you are caught off guard in unfamiliar territory. training or no training. also a rock thrown at full force to the head will at least knock you out. either way you look at it, empire was unprepared.

Nah, Nihilus didnt transfered himself into his robes and mask. After destruction of Malachor V, only he survived but his body was destroyed, he was something like a force ghost so he used robes and that mask in order to have any sort of shape, he was one of the wounds in the Force. Anomaly.

It does seem like he did what i thought, while you're not entirely false, the word "encased" definately tells me that he transferred his spirit directly into his armor. So there might be a really big chance that Nihilus was using Andedda's knowledge.
After all we know, Nihilus did somewhat remain in his Mask after he got defeated. Since his Mask survied until Palpatine's reign, he does seem to have found some way to eternal life too.
He may have eternal life but I also read that he has no hope of ever being strong enough to reform his body. For all intents and purposes, Nihlus is pretty much dead.

Justin is right. Furthermore, while Nihilus would have "eternal life", he also had an eternal hunger he could not possibly sate. He was a fissure, a wound, or a singularity in the force. Like Sion, he walked the fine line between life and death in an unsustainable way. They were most certainly permanently suffering, not a good existence to live.

None can stand equal to Darth Revan. All these other Sith were weak and undisciplined. Revan was smarter than everyone, in better control of himself than everyone and the best tactician of the entire Star Wars universe.
Couldn't agree more. He is quite possibly the most brilliant Jedi and Sith to have ever lived. His actions went beyond petty power trips or vengeance against the Jedi.

While Revan was an extraordinary example of ability within and knowledge of the force, his flip flopping of alignment, being vulnerable to numerous manipulations by both Vitiate and the Jedi Council, he was chaotic neutral at best and biopolar manic at his worst... His ordeal as a prisoner of the emperor fragmented his mind and diminishes his legacy to a fair extent. FFS, don't forget that he was killed by much lesser lords in the Foundry.

Another reason the Jedi are idiots: no knowledge is bad, it's what you do with the knowledge that's bad. The's no such thing as having too much knowledge. Banning and forbidding knowledge only means you'll be unprepared when someone else gets that knowledge and (in the case of the Sith) uses it against you.

Love all the little Easter eggs' Lucasfilms chucked into the Clone Wars series, the "super-weapon" ship Count Dooku and General Grievous had was called the Malevolence, like that of the cult founded by Andeddu. I would say Dooku had a part in naming that ship.
