Nihilus is no Sith. As Kreia says: "He cares nothing about the Sith, or their teachings, and when he consume the Jedi he will turn on the Sith too". Nihilus it's just a walking wound in the galaxy, a junkie that needs to feed on Force Users.
Part of that is the Cursed Child Effect tho: ANYONE following up a character like Luke or Harry literally the ONLY Interesting thing you can do is "what if their kid was a disappointment?" Other wise the good guys just get OP by having good kids.

Golden Kuriza they were not made directly under lucas films but all offical games like kotor and jedi academy were made, at least in part, by Lucas arts, the game company created by lucas, and all the expanded lore, i.e. book, comics, figures and games, that carried star wars in the title was run by either lucas or someone he assigned to read them, as star wars is heavily copyrighted. so while not officially endorsed by lucas films most of the EU was technically canon until Disney.

Good video, but you’re mistaken about the death of Darth Bane. He was killed by his Apprentice, Darth Zannah, when she challenged him for the title of Dark Lord. In the 2nd book, the Jedi believed they had killed Bane but it was in fact Zannah’s cousin Darovit who she turned crazy and made attack the Jedi, who swiftly cut him down.

I like ur energy and inflections when speaking on different characters but I think you should reread some of the novels and replay some of the games because there are inconsistencies with almost every character you touched on. No disrespect intended cause it seems like you really enjoy what you do which should always be the 1st reason behind endeavors such as this. You just need a lil better fact checking cause real hard-core star wars fans will definitely call out people who try to talk about this material and don't present content consistent with the narrative.
I wouldn't mind seeing Revan, I know he was a Jedi who became a Sith Lord (Emperor of the Outer Rim), but then he became something more after both the Jedi and the Sith had to team together to beat him. I mean that tells you something right there. The Jedi and Sith had to work together (Twice) to take down Revan.
Revan is highly overrated and got his shit kicked in by vitiate while revan himself also had help. Revan was powerful but frankly he wasn’t even Vader level.
Trayus17 only one that deserves to be on this list is Nihilus. None of the others are powerful enough. As stated Revan is insanely over rated. Traya is powerful but not enough to make this list, and Sion was only good at sustaining himself through the dark side(granted his abilities with this skill are completely unmatched)while his other force abilities were mediocre at best.
A.G0901 Vader has also mastered all forms of lightsaber combat. Not to mention his feats far surpass Revan. I’m not getting into a argument with a Revan fanboy because they are incapable of seeing any kind of logic or reason. Revan feats with a force are nothing compared to Vader(especially not Vader’s true potential as were it not for his suit purposely being designed to weaken him significantly Vader would have been the most powerful force user of all time)

Not only did Exar Kun invent the double bladed saber, he was the first character we officially saw using one. I remember reading the Tales of the Jedi comics about 2 years before The Phantom Menace and i was so in awe of seeing Exar Kun use a double blade.

Yeah, in the book on Revan it talks about how Vitiate drained an entire planet of the force and apparently he was planning on force draining the entire Galaxy. In the same book it also talks about how Vitiate has all 12 members of the sith council murdered when just one plotted against him

The fact that just his voice *killed* an entire planet is scary, he became pure dark energy and was a Galaxy-Wide threat... While he was stopped, his spirit or a part of it still lives in his mask and robes, waiting... Just think about that, Nihilus is still out there somewhere just waiting to come back again. The reason there was many different powerful Sith and Jedi after Nihilus is because he was stopped.

Darth vader was not powerful his powers was nothing compared to all the siths on this list. If he would not of lost to obi wan and became more cyborg then human then I believe he could have became the strongest Sith but that suit was made to suppress his powers

Not even close. Potential lost or no, Anakin/Vader would never have had the power of the old Force Users. He was the Chosen One of a time when the Force was explicitly mentioned to be lessened, and he was the Chosen One to restore it to old glory. That does not mean that he was the one who was most in command of it. That would be the ones living in the time of the Old Republic, when the Force was plentiful and powerful and in the hands of millions, not a few hundred.

Honestly, nothing can convince me that Vitiate/Tenebrae/Valkorion wasn't the most powerful sith lord ever. I know his power was artificially empowered by various sources (Most notably the Nathema Ritual), but does that really matter?
He is not most powerful than Sidious simply because he had to consume souls, use artifacts and perform several rituals. He might have been on par with Sidious but had the latter used the same resources would he not be much stronger than Vitiate? It matters because Sidious is all natural and much much younger. Vitiate is certainly the number two, but Sidious is number one. Also, Lucas' word is Lucas' word.
Sidious was babied by Palagius into power, he refused to teach all his knowledge to his apprentice and had yet to master his masters teachings. Sidious was not a true Sith and infact destroyed the order in desperation to be the one to benefit. Revan was completely self made but not truly a Sith he merely ressurected the order so he could unite the galaxy against the external threat Kreia mentions (SWTOR is bullshit imo so will disregard the mind control plotpoint). Valkorion was just a puzzled sociopath who when his creation isnt perfect ditches it for a new project and therefore couldnt be counted as powerful merely caught in a loop. Darth Bane is probably the only true Sith, Not using the name for a purpose outside of its tenents like Revan or the others therefore Bane is the most powerful Sith.
Well apparently there are two canons now so I would say that it is fair game to be critical of both or it or whatever you wish to say is canon. Do you refute the fact that sidious was babied? That vitiae just halfbuilt and abandoned his creations? I will accept criticism on my revan point as disregarding a whole official part of his story is dicy of me but still stand by the fact that Darth bane has to take the crown as he was the only one who was both effective and true to the Sith ideology.
Palpatine could destroy entire star fleets or even a planets surface with a Force Storm Wormhole, which he could create anywhere in the Galaxy. Sidious was only capable of scorching the surface of a planet with the force storm, which could turn on him and takes focus to accomplish, Nihilus passively can drain armies and even worlds before reaching his peak, in his peek it was stated the.galaxy would die in his presence by Traya and Visas Marr.
In Canon almost all Darth Bane's story has been cut out (including the fact that HE destroyed the Sith and NOT the Jedi) and it says that he is killed by Jedi but DUN, DUN, DUN he had an apprentice...yeah, it's pretty lame...
I mean those three novels gave s much depth to the characters, and now it's as if the canon is just the plan made by to fool the Jedi. The whole he survived but was later killed by Jedi is exactly the thing Bane wanted them to believe.
I love those novel and it's really bad that everything that is left of Bane it's just "He was a Sith and Jedi killed him" and those 10 seconds that we see in Clone Wars. I mean he's the one who has set in motion what then led Sidious to succeed. I'm really trying to push my self to like the new Canon but I really can't...

@Banethesithari Consider that Nox was strong enough that Vitiate took note of him, and Lord Kallig was strong enough that Tulak Hord considered him a threat.
I did mention Marka Ragnos, as for Ludo Kressh and Naga Sadow, I didn't consider them because Vitiate was really meant to be the successor of Marka Ragnos but Vitiate was too young then.

Darth Traya sucked so hard that she got casually maimed by Sion. She was a strategic mastermind, but as a force user, and duelist, was quite weak, and couldn't hold a candle to the trully strongest siths.
Never thought about that but I see it now . Its weird cause being a lord of the rings fan , I've been saying ever since I saw Darth Nihilus in the star wars mobile game , he's become one or most likely my favourite Sith . There's got to be a connection from being a big middle earth fan lol. There is something wrong about Darth Bane in this video: When Bane became a Sith Lord, the Sith Order was unified at least for some years by Lord Kaan. The time of Sith killing Sith was over. That was one of the reasons Bane destroyed the Sith Order: He despised this way of life.

Naga Sadow is an overrated Sith, ultimately mediocre when compared to even the Sith during the Empire-Republic cold war in the old republic era. The Great Hyperspace War was a sorry attempt at taking the galaxy, and ended in abject failure, so bad that the Sith were routed from Korriban. The war was so bad that Jedi not only weren't even afraid of sith in any sense - they carried out a purge of sith artifacts, knowledge, runes, holocrons and medallions, wiping out almost all sith history prior to the retaking of Korriban. It was a bad spot on the history of the Sith. Not only was it an unnecessary war - it was warned against. Sadow was a fool, and aside from his comparatively standard knowledge on sith sorcery and magic (compared to the sith who study this), he was not special at all.
I think the only reason Palpatine was considered so powerful was that he was one of the handful of Sith lords actually present at the time, and among them he was the most powerful. No doubt, Palpatine is definitely top 10, but he was more of a masterful political schemer and scholar. But I think compared to the Sith lords of the past, the Sith that we actually saw in the films were dwarfed in skill by those such as Valkorion or Nihilus, who were just insanely powerful.

Sidious was an avatar of the dark side, vitiate was a magician who relied on suing magic and ritual to augment his abilities. Sidious achieved all that he achieved on his own. From pure darkness that lay within him.

Technically Darth Nihilus didn’t die, his spirit lived on throughout a sacred Sith Temple where he made his own Holocron for the Sith and continued to help the Sith. Apparently there’s also a rumor where if someone were to find his mask and put it on, then he would return...
Technically, Darth Nihilus did die, the moment he put his soul in the mask. Sion and Nihilus were dead the entire time. That is why they are referred to as Echos. They are just walking corpses. You are right about his soul still being around, however.

Hmmm, agree to disagree, you're forgetting that Nihilus could absorb the life of entire planets, including Jedi and all, and Naga Sadow was a more powerful sith sorcerer than Sidious, and I would almost argue that he was a greater tactician as well. Though to be fair, Sadow is not a one on one fighter, preferring to remain in his meditation sphere, to conjur his magics, so in a direct confrontation between the two Sidious would win, but an all out battle between two armies is in Sadows favour .
Darth Nihilus is so weird because his ways in combat isn’t really that well, but his abilities in the force is so strong and can literally just take your life force
No he doesn't Sidious is stated to be the most powerful sith ever and he generally has the best feats. Vitiate has better ritual and with telepathy feats but vitiate instead going to be able to mentally effect sidious and rituals are a none factor with how long they take. However even If you low ball sidious and say vitiate has a slight edge with the force sidious still comfortably wins due to the massive edge he has with a lightsaber. Vitiate it literally featless with a saber we don't even know if he has one. So when sidious gets in close and he will at some point even if vitiate has a slight edge overall with the force sidious has won. Vitiate cant compete for a second in an actual duel the most he can do is block sidious strikes with his hand like he did agaisnt arcann but I doubt vitiate could consistently blcok his strikes for long and even if he could vitiate will tire out way before sidious given how easily sidious can swing a saber compared to how much effort it would take vitiate to block a saber Also vitiate is a pretty terrible fighter and is constantly leaving himself vulnerable agaisnt People he could stomp. In the Revan Novel meetra had a chance to kill him becasue he just forgot meetra and scourge were there. In a swtor expansion he just forgets about arcann or the outlander while the other is fighting him and gets stabbed. Sidious 10/10

Tbh I don't even see the competition. Been watching a lot of vids from both Stupendous Wave and Star Wars Theory but I think Darth Sidious is by far the most powerful. Dude was able to destroy planets and was able to avoid being caught by the Jedi while tricking the greatest Jedi. He made Yoda and Mace Windu two of the most powerful and respected Jedi ever look like fools.
Only reason I think vitiate is more powerful is because dude built the sith empire up and built up another empire damn near at the same time. While being ago to maintain power a rule with much challenge. In combat gets that edge but why would vitiate care about combat skills when he would just transfer his essences. But I would think it's about what someone being powerful means to you

The Emperor, vitiate was also VERY powerful because of a ritual he preformed, absorbing the force from an entire planet and the counsel of dark lords. His eyes where as black as the void and he was able to break the will of all who opposed him except one... Reven.

Exar Kun found a stronger kyber crystal and used it, while also finding an old design for the double bladed lightsaber that made the hilt smaller. He did not create the double bladed saber. You are correct sir.
Brings up an interesting question... is the dark side of the force ACTUALLY more powerful, or at least, more destructive than the light? There used to be thousands of Sith, but they were ununified, constantly attacking and killing each other for higher rank and authority, but after the rule of 2 was implemented the Sith still lived on thousands of years despite the Jedi and their unification... that means that for all that time, there were thousands of Jedi and only 2 Sith, yet the Sith continued to live on... does that mean a Sith Lord is frighteningly more powerful than a Jedi Master? Or did they managed to hide so well Jedi were never able to find and neutralize more than one Sith at a time?
There's a lot to unpack here. The Dark Side is not more powerful. However, Sith Lords have access to everything a Jedi has in the way of the Force as well as everything the Dark Side has to offer. Additionally, based on what I've read of the now non-canon books, Dark Side users are okay with doing things not only to their own bodies but to those around them that Light Side users wouldn't be okay with, in an effort to gain more power. Mainly, sacrificial and outright evil type stuff. The Sith lived on through Bane and after Bane for pretty much one reason. The primary goal had nothing to do with the Jedi. Bane couldn't have cared less about the plots of Jedi. Instead, he cared only for eternal life because through eternal life and the Rule of Two, a future in which the Sith overthrew the Jedi would naturally come to pass. The Sith are as you suspected, insanely good at hiding in plain sight. Their ability to disguise themselves is unparalleled.
I'd say the Dark Side is actually more powerful. You get stronger much quicker, but at the same time it's self destructive and easy for you to lose sight of your own goals (example: Anakin wanting the power to save Padme only to end up strangling her because she got in his way of obtaining more power). Light side is a slower and more tedious process, but it remains steady.
@@Mikazuchireborn I certainly won't argue that you get stronger much quicker. I'm not of the opinion that is an indication of overall strength possibilities though. In fact, I'd say having to work harder and more tediously for something lends to its strength because you come to respect the possibilities more. Remember also that pretty much all the sith care about is power, nevermind how its gotten. The Jedi have other ideals. It's entirely possible that we haven't been shown the upper limits of a light side user.

And this is without talking about his intelligence, specifically his ideas about a new rule for the Sith, taken millenia later by Bane.
One could argue that Revan was not sith at all. He was fairly powerful as a sith lord, but he was at his most powerful when he was neither jedi or sith after the events of Kotor 1
Awesome list! Great job on the vid. However, I believe that Sith such as Tulak Hord and possibly Revan should be implemented into this list. Maybe do a discrete number like 10 rather than 7.
One correction I would make is that Darth Bane destroyed the brotherhood of darkness not the jedi. He tricked Lord Kaan into using the thought bomb effectively destroying the sith and created the rule of two afterwards.

A lot of Sith can use telekinesis without the hand gestures like no joke, they all can. They just don’t do it because it’s inconvenient. Vitiate did not have a midichlorian count of 400k that’s just ridiculous, his rituals expanded his life span, not his general connection to the force. He’s definitely in the top 10 mortal force users, hell he’s probably in the top 10 even if we still counted the ones but he’s definitely not as powerful as you make him out to be.

Nihilus was cool and menacing but he wasn't even as strong as revans apprentice (kotor 2 protagonist),that's really sad, revans apprentice was about 1/500 of her masters power so that makes nihilus about 1/1000 of the power that revan comanded. He's like a bullet, it seems really powerful and destructive but when it hits something stronger than it you see how weak it really is. Hell it took both him and Krea's other apprentice, who was pretty strong in his own right to take he down and even she was only at about 1/750 of revan's power, being fairly easily defeated by revan's apprentice single handed.
Darth Sidious learned every Darkside ability and invented more, he was the only Sith to ever dominate the Darkside and was even praised by all the Sith spirits (Including the stubborn ones.) As the culmination of everything a Sith could ever become, all minus the secret to eternal life. Nihilus was a danger to himself and was only moderate at one ability, lightsaber combat. His force drain was a matter of survival as well, whilst Palpatine’s force drain was purely his own to judge when and when not to use it. Nihilus is an awesome Sith, and I’m not trying to change opinions here, but please atleast be respectful to the officially confirmed information. As in the Legends canon (The same timeline in which Nihilus exists.) Sidious is the most powerful Sith to ever live, alongside Luke being the most powerful Jedi to ever live. A simple trip to Wookiepedia, or an official Lucasfilms media can show you all of the evidence you need of this, that and everything George Lucas said before the buyout that was incorporated would be intangible canon within the Legends continuity. If you’d like that changed then petition Lucasfilms to change it for the new timeline, but as it stands Sidious is indeed the most powerful, and the most dark.
One if my personal favorites is definitely Tulak Hord. Man single handedly killed thousands of Jedi and broke a siege. Something Khrm Val never lets me forget
1) Sidious: Stated to be the most powerful sith ever defeated Yoda who at the time was the most powerful jedi ever (only luke surpassed him) his force storm was able to tear apart a large rebel fleet, his lightening one shot an entire battalion of stormtroopers and he drained Byss the second most populated planet in the galaxy. 2) Plageuis: Until sidious he was stated to be the most powerful sith ever. Even sidious wasn't sure he coudl defeat him despite how arrogant sidious is. 3) Valkorian: Was the most powerful sith ever till Plageuis. surpasses any other sith with rituals and with mental attacks . Longest reigning sith of an empire. 4) Darth Caedus: was stated to be more powerful than vader, knew shatterpoint, master of aing ti. Was said to second only to luke skywalker as a duellist in his time. 5) Darth Bane: Had the combined knowledge of Darth Revan, Freedon Nadd (who learnt everything from naga sadow), Darth Andeddu, Belia Darzu and Sorzn syn. His lightening was able to turn a 3m draxl (with skin tough enough to no sell blaster fire) into nothing but charred bone and the rider into ash despite not even hitting the rider and levelled a 30 meter high stone temple with a single force push and tore through quordis force sheild and broke his neck even though quordis was the 2nd or 3rd most powerful member of the borhterhood of darkness. All three feats were when bane had around a year of training. casually resisted lord kaans mental attacks despite kaan being able to mentally control the entire council in the brotherhood of darkness. Was arguably the greatest master of djem so ever (if bane isnt then its vader) given he was able to completely dominate zannah a master of soresu despite her being equally as powerful as him. 6) Darth Krayt: literally willed himself back to life because he refused to die. Dominated Wyylock III in there fight who was second only to Krayt in their empire. Was able to ragdoll Cade skywalker and knew dark transfer. So if her managed to touch anyone in a fight he could one shot them. 7) vader: Greatest jedi killer ever. Beat the likes of obi wan and Maul. fought a dozen jedi masters at once and only lost because his lightsaber shorted out. One shot a dozen people with a force push. His suit could take glancing blows form a saber. Perhaps the greatest master of djem so ever (if not vader then it's bane)

Good video, but you’re mistaken about the death of Darth Bane. He was killed by his Apprentice, Darth Zannah, when she challenged him for the title of Dark Lord. In the 2nd book, the Jedi believed they had killed Bane but it was in fact Zannah’s cousin Darovit who she turned crazy and made attack the Jedi, who swiftly cut him down.

I like ur energy and inflections when speaking on different characters but I think you should reread some of the novels and replay some of the games because there are inconsistencies with almost every character you touched on. No disrespect intended cause it seems like you really enjoy what you do which should always be the 1st reason behind endeavors such as this. valkorion is such an underrated character. his abilities are ridiculously powerful. I personally think he's the most powerful sith of all time.
I wouldn't mind seeing Revan, I know he was a Jedi who became a Sith Lord (Emperor of the Outer Rim), but then he became something more after both the Jedi and the Sith had to team together to beat him. I mean that tells you something right there. The Jedi and Sith had to work together (Twice) to take down Revan.
Revan is highly overrated and got his shit kicked in by vitiate while revan himself also had help. Revan was powerful but frankly he wasn’t even Vader level.

Traya is powerful but not enough to make this list, and Sion was only good at sustaining himself through the dark side(granted his abilities with this skill are completely unmatched)while his other force abilities were mediocre at best.

Not only did Exar Kun invent the double bladed saber, he was the first character we officially saw using one. I remember reading the Tales of the Jedi comics about 2 years before The Phantom Menace and i was so in awe of seeing Exar Kun use a double blade.

that's up for debate actually, during his study of the holocron for immortality he learned of a method of transferring his soul to a living vessel and taking it over. which, I believe he did as a last ditch effort to defeat his apprentice.

You're supposed to be left wondering, either way it all shook out it was Zannah's body and if he had succeeded he'd probably never tip his hand there so ultimately it doesn't matter who won.

Not even close. Potential lost or no, Anakin/Vader would never have had the power of the old Force Users. He was the Chosen One of a time when the Force was explicitly mentioned to be lessened, and he was the Chosen One to restore it to old glory. That does not mean that he was the one who was most in command of it. That would be the ones living in the time of the Old Republic, when the Force was plentiful and powerful and in the hands of millions, not a few hundred.

He is not most powerful than Sidious simply because he had to consume souls, use artifacts and perform several rituals. He might have been on par with Sidious but had the latter used the same resources would he not be much stronger than Vitiate? It matters because Sidious is all natural and much much younger. Vitiate is certainly the number two, but Sidious is number one. Also, Lucas' word is Lucas' word.
Sidious was babied by Palagius into power, he refused to teach all his knowledge to his apprentice and had yet to master his masters teachings. Sidious was not a true Sith and infact destroyed the order in desperation to be the one to benefit. Revan was completely self made but not truly a Sith he merely ressurected the order so he could unite the galaxy against the external threat Kreia mentions (SWTOR is bullshit imo so will disregard the mind control plotpoint). Valkorion was just a puzzled sociopath who when his creation isnt perfect ditches it for a new project and therefore couldnt be counted as powerful merely caught in a loop. Darth Bane is probably the only true Sith, Not using the name for a purpose outside of its tenents like Revan or the others therefore Bane is the most powerful Sith.

I did mention Marka Ragnos, as for Ludo Kressh and Naga Sadow, I didn't consider them because Vitiate was really meant to be the successor of Marka Ragnos but Vitiate was too young then.

Darth Traya sucked so hard that she got casually maimed by Sion. She was a strategic mastermind, but as a force user, and duelist, was quite weak, and couldn't hold a candle to the trully strongest siths.

What’s this about a Darth Nigga Shadow?
Naga Sadow is an overrated Sith, ultimately mediocre when compared to even the Sith during the Empire-Republic cold war in the old republic era. The Great Hyperspace War was a sorry attempt at taking the galaxy, and ended in abject failure, so bad that the Sith were routed from Korriban. The war was so bad that Jedi not only weren't even afraid of sith in any sense - they carried out a purge of sith artifacts, knowledge, runes, holocrons and medallions, wiping out almost all sith history prior to the retaking of Korriban. It was a bad spot on the history of the Sith.
Not only was it an unnecessary war - it was warned against. Sadow was a fool, and aside from his comparatively standard knowledge on sith sorcery and magic (compared to the sith who study this), he was not special at all.
I think the only reason Palpatine was considered so powerful was that he was one of the handful of Sith lords actually present at the time, and among them he was the most powerful. No doubt, Palpatine is definitely top 10, but he was more of a masterful political schemer and scholar. But I think compared to the Sith lords of the past, the Sith that we actually saw in the films were dwarfed in skill by those such as Valkorion or Nihilus, who were just insanely powerful.

Hmmm, agree to disagree, you're forgetting that Nihilus could absorb the life of entire planets, including Jedi and all, and Naga Sadow was a more powerful sith sorcerer than Sidious, and I would almost argue that he was a greater tactician as well. Though to be fair, Sadow is not a one on one fighter, preferring to remain in his meditation sphere, to conjur his magics, so in a direct confrontation between the two Sidious would win, but an all out battle between two armies is in Sadows favour .

No he doesn't Sidious is stated to be the most powerful sith ever and he generally has the best feats. Vitiate has better ritual and with telepathy feats but vitiate instead going to be able to mentally effect sidious and rituals are a none factor with how long they take.
However even If you low ball sidious and say vitiate has a slight edge with the force sidious still comfortably wins due to the massive edge he has with a lightsaber. Vitiate it literally featless with a saber we don't even know if he has one. So when sidious gets in close and he will at some point even if vitiate has a slight edge overall with the force sidious has won. Vitiate cant compete for a second in an actual duel the most he can do is block sidious strikes with his hand like he did agaisnt arcann but I doubt vitiate could consistently blcok his strikes for long and even if he could vitiate will tire out way before sidious given how easily sidious can swing a saber compared to how much effort it would take vitiate to block a saber
Also vitiate is a pretty terrible fighter and is constantly leaving himself vulnerable agaisnt People he could stomp. In the Revan Novel meetra had a chance to kill him becasue he just forgot meetra and scourge were there. In a swtor expansion he just forgets about arcann or the outlander while the other is fighting him and gets stabbed.

Tbh I don't even see the competition. Been watching a lot of vids from both Stupendous Wave and Star Wars Theory but I think Darth Sidious is by far the most powerful. Dude was able to destroy planets and was able to avoid being caught by the Jedi while tricking the greatest Jedi. He made Yoda and Mace Windu two of the most powerful and respected Jedi ever look like fools.

Exar Kun found a stronger kyber crystal and used it, while also finding an old design for the double bladed lightsaber that made the hilt smaller. He did not create the double bladed saber. You are correct sir.
Brings up an interesting question... is the dark side of the force ACTUALLY more powerful, or at least, more destructive than the light?
There used to be thousands of Sith, but they were ununified, constantly attacking and killing each other for higher rank and authority, but after the rule of 2 was implemented the Sith still lived on thousands of years despite the Jedi and their unification... that means that for all that time, there were thousands of Jedi and only 2 Sith, yet the Sith continued to live on... does that mean a Sith Lord is frighteningly more powerful than a Jedi Master? Or did they managed to hide so well Jedi were never able to find and neutralize more than one Sith at a time?

There's a lot to unpack here. The Dark Side is not more powerful. However, Sith Lords have access to everything a Jedi has in the way of the Force as well as everything the Dark Side has to offer. Additionally, based on what I've read of the now non-canon books, Dark Side users are okay with doing things not only to their own bodies but to those around them that Light Side users wouldn't be okay with, in an effort to gain more power. Mainly, sacrificial and outright evil type stuff. The Sith lived on through Bane and after Bane for pretty much one reason. The primary goal had nothing to do with the Jedi. Bane couldn't have cared less about the plots of Jedi. Instead, he cared only for eternal life because through eternal life and the Rule of Two, a future in which the Sith overthrew the Jedi would naturally come to pass. The Sith are as you suspected, insanely good at hiding in plain sight. Their ability to disguise themselves is unparalleled.
I'd say the Dark Side is actually more powerful. You get stronger much quicker, but at the same time it's self destructive and easy for you to lose sight of your own goals (example: Anakin wanting the power to save Padme only to end up strangling her because she got in his way of obtaining more power). Light side is a slower and more tedious process, but it remains steady.
@@Mikazuchireborn I certainly won't argue that you get stronger much quicker. I'm not of the opinion that is an indication of overall strength possibilities though. In fact, I'd say having to work harder and more tediously for something lends to its strength because you come to respect the possibilities more. Remember also that pretty much all the sith care about is power, nevermind how its gotten. The Jedi have other ideals. It's entirely possible that we haven't been shown the upper limits of a light side user.

One could argue that Revan was not sith at all. He was fairly powerful as a sith lord, but he was at his most powerful when he was neither jedi or sith after the events of Kotor 1
Awesome list! Great job on the vid. However, I believe that Sith such as Tulak Hord and possibly Revan should be implemented into this list. Maybe do a discrete number like 10 rather than 7.
One correction I would make is that Darth Bane destroyed the brotherhood of darkness not the jedi. He tricked Lord Kaan into using the thought bomb effectively destroying the sith and created the rule of two afterwards.

A lot of Sith can use telekinesis without the hand gestures like no joke, they all can. They just don’t do it because it’s inconvenient. Vitiate did not have a midichlorian count of 400k that’s just ridiculous, his rituals expanded his life span, not his general connection to the force. He’s definitely in the top 10 mortal force users, hell he’s probably in the top 10 even if we still counted the ones but he’s definitely not as powerful as you make him out to be.

And no, Sidious is not the most powerful, not by sheer power at least, is the most powerful by accumulated power, he have an entire Galactic Empire for himself, but he is the culmination of a 1000 years plan of a most powerful and wise Sith, Darth Bane.

Nihilus was cool and menacing but he wasn't even as strong as revans apprentice (kotor 2 protagonist),that's really sad, revans apprentice was about 1/500 of her masters power so that makes nihilus about 1/1000 of the power that revan comanded. He's like a bullet, it seems really powerful and destructive but when it hits something stronger than it you see how weak it really is. Hell it took both him and Krea's other apprentice, who was pretty strong in his own right to take he down and even she was only at about 1/750 of revan's power, being fairly easily defeated by revan's apprentice single handed.
Darth Sidious learned every Darkside ability and invented more, he was the only Sith to ever dominate the Darkside and was even praised by all the Sith spirits (Including the stubborn ones.) As the culmination of everything a Sith could ever become, all minus the secret to eternal life.
Nihilus was a danger to himself and was only moderate at one ability, lightsaber combat. His force drain was a matter of survival as well, whilst Palpatine’s force drain was purely his own to judge when and when not to use it.
Nihilus is an awesome Sith, and I’m not trying to change opinions here, but please atleast be respectful to the officially confirmed information. As in the Legends canon (The same timeline in which Nihilus exists.) Sidious is the most powerful Sith to ever live, alongside Luke being the most powerful Jedi to ever live.
A simple trip to Wookiepedia, or an official Lucasfilms media can show you all of the evidence you need of this, that and everything George Lucas said before the buyout that was incorporated would be intangible canon within the Legends continuity. If you’d like that changed then petition Lucasfilms to change it for the new timeline, but as it stands Sidious is indeed the most powerful, and the most dark.
One if my personal favorites is definitely Tulak Hord. Man single handedly killed thousands of Jedi and broke a siege. Something Khrm Val never lets me forget

1) Sidious: Stated to be the most powerful sith ever defeated Yoda who at the time was the most powerful jedi ever (only luke surpassed him) his force storm was able to tear apart a large rebel fleet, his lightening one shot an entire battalion of stormtroopers and he drained Byss the second most populated planet in the galaxy.
2) Plageuis: Until sidious he was stated to be the most powerful sith ever. Even sidious wasn't sure he coudl defeat him despite how arrogant sidious is.
3) Valkorian: Was the most powerful sith ever till Plageuis. surpasses any other sith with rituals and with mental attacks . Longest reigning sith of an empire.
4) Darth Caedus: was stated to be more powerful than vader, knew shatterpoint, master of aing ti. Was said to second only to luke skywalker as a duellist in his time.
5) Darth Bane: Had the combined knowledge of Darth Revan, Freedon Nadd (who learnt everything from naga sadow), Darth Andeddu, Belia Darzu and Sorzn syn. His lightening was able to turn a 3m draxl (with skin tough enough to no sell blaster fire) into nothing but charred bone and the rider into ash despite not even hitting the rider and levelled a 30 meter high stone temple with a single force push and tore through quordis force sheild and broke his neck even though quordis was the 2nd or 3rd most powerful member of the borhterhood of darkness. All three feats were when bane had around a year of training. casually resisted lord kaans mental attacks despite kaan being able to mentally control the entire council in the brotherhood of darkness. Was arguably the greatest master of djem so ever (if bane isnt then its vader) given he was able to completely dominate zannah a master of soresu despite her being equally as powerful as him.
6) Darth Krayt: literally willed himself back to life because he refused to die. Dominated Wyylock III in there fight who was second only to Krayt in their empire. Was able to ragdoll Cade skywalker and knew dark transfer. So if her managed to touch anyone in a fight he could one shot them.
7) vader: Greatest jedi killer ever. Beat the likes of obi wan and Maul. fought a dozen jedi masters at once and only lost because his lightsaber shorted out. One shot a dozen people with a force push. His suit could take glancing blows form a saber. Perhaps the greatest master of djem so ever (if not vader then it's bane)
