How Bane Became a Sith (Deep Lore) - Star Wars Explained

- Darth Bane was the Sith Lord who changed the way the Sith ruled the galaxy for the next thousand years. It was his Rule of Two that created a new order in the Universe that changed everything. Before him, Sith were fighting each other for centuries, to which he would come to change. The Rule of Two, as we'll come to learn in the next few series of videos from the Darth Bane trilogy, will open your eyes as to how everything came to be. It'll explain how Plagueis and Sidious ruled as just two and why it worked so well.
Bane's Rule of Two would die with Vader/Anakin Skywalker...that is...until legends, of course...

I wish they would adapt these stories into either live action movies or series, or into cinematics like the SWTOR cinematics. Would be a dream come true.

I like to believe that the Legends design of Darth Bane is the same as the canon-Clone Wars design, but without the Chinese-esque armored design

Couldn’t agree more the bane trilogy is so well written and compelling that I got into the EU because of it
Just got done reading these a few months ago. I just love how rich the EU is with many stories and likeable characters.
I truly recommend the audiobooks for the Bane trilogy for those who havn't given them a try! They have music from the movies and sound effects for pretty much everything such as lightsaber combat, forcepowers, spaceships and different areas. Also outstanding voiceacting! You won't be dissapointed!

I am currently listening to the audiobook version of the first book in The Darth Bane Trilogy, “Path of Destruction”, as I was very intrigued to learn more about the “Rule of Two” and the Sith. Loving it so far. Bane is an incredible character, and I hope to see more of him in the future.
The audio books only make the story more compelling love them!

The funny thing is that I just finished listening to the Darth Bane trilogy today.
I have to say, the Plagueis novel is my favorite, but Darth Bane is my favorite Sith Lord. Literally going from being nothing, to becoming dark lord of the Sith. And path of destruction is the best out of the 3.

Bane only ever has a red lightsaber. A lot of fan art has him with purple, but the books always were specific about it being red
Will The Cook a lot of fan art has it purple because it looks good, but like I said, the books are very specific on it being either red or crimson. I think there are some comics that also depict him with a purple blade, but I take book over comic since the trilogy covers until the end of his life
Not to mention he’s always wearing his orbalisk armor helmet. Which he would only sleep in but I guess everybody thinks he looks cool in it. I agree
@@AndreNitroX I don't know, just finished the books and I don't like the helmet. He's not shown wearing it on the covers (like you said, he only wears it in his sleep), so I never envisioned him in it. I just think it looks weird, kinda takes away from his sinister "mascara?" eyes.
@@johnnyfroggo7361 perhaps, i always felt it made him look unique, but i will admit the helmet does make him look like a triceratops, and i am a sucker for dinos.
@@AndreNitroX It certainly is unique, I'll give it that lol. Then again, this opinion is from someone who just recently read the books, and only now learned about the "original I guess" helmet depictions. Let's just say I wasn't mad about the redesign in Clone Wars, still prefer him un-helmeted though.

I listened to the audio book and it was amazing! I love hearing sound effects and the voice acting is pretty good. Cant wait to listen to the second boom when I get some extra time.

What face mask? All he ever had was parasite armour
that was a cage around his head to protect his head from the orbalisks.
Love the content, you do a great job bringing the lore to those of us too tied up in our boring lives to dig deep into it. Disney should employ folks like you as "advisors" to keep the stories true to lore and star wars.

Not only is the Bane trilogy my favorite part of the entirety of Star Wars, it's one of my favorite book series in general. Also, I'm happy it technically stayed cannon I'm Clone Wars. Please do more Bane videos. Drew Karpyshyn is a master at makin some good lore, and this channel is excellent feel good videos.

Bane was in my opinion smarter than Palpatine because he immediately recognized the sith as incomplete and by destroying them he actually unified them, and he only like three sith by himself. He actually gave them the idea for the thought bomb, also do a video, called what if sirak killed band. Love your vids

I love the Darth Bane books. Something I would like theorized on is if there are possible uses for the remains of a thought bomb. Like the core seems to be a powerful force artifact and could potentially have for their use in dark side rituals. Any way yah more Darth Bane that would be wonderful.
