    Our rabbits are loving listening to this. To be fair, they enjoy most music. I think this is due to the rapid, complex blending of sounds though. Our one bunny usually only rocks out to well rock and the Dragonborn theme from Skyrim. Seeing her listen to this was interesting. And now she's mad at me because the music is over.

    It's really cool to see the kind of states masters of different instruments get into when they get in the zone. Where metal guitarists are extremely intense and blues guitarists are express soul and passion, these shamisen players seem at peace and tranquil even when they are absolutely shredding the thing. Very cool dynamic of music and the emotions that rise from every genre and style.

    • @TheIrelandish
      @TheIrelandish 9 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      YummYp00p Excuse me? The banjo was invented in the 1600's, and was derived from one or several African tribal instruments, which date back to hundreds of years before the shamisen. The banjo's roots date back further than the shamisen's "ancient beauty." Furthermore, the ukulele was derived from the Hawaiian interpretation of a type of portuguese guitar, nearly 300 years AFTER the modern banjo. I play the banjo. Please, keep calling me dumb. You seem to know SO MUCH about musical history. ;)

    55 people actually disliked this? How can you not like this... this is THE ultimate shamisen battle....especially the older gentlemen, Mr. Kinoshita. Amazing speed and skill.

    Hi Good comment of yours,
    Yes indeed, They have contributed to the resurgence of the traditional Japanese music. Mr. Kinoshita(the one in Wine colour suits)is really highly skilled, perhaps the greatest of all who emerged in the last 10 years or so. He is a great composer/arranger as well. He has done his creation throughlly in the Western notation as well.

    @akissy that may be so, but banjo is pretty hard to learn, when you play you usually pluck each string individually with a different finger, so you're using every single one of your fingers to play a specific tune.

    Hi Good question,
    Sanxian is the former version of Shamisen. It was the traditional instrument of people in Okinawa Island of Japan. IT was made of Snake skin, and a smaller than Shamisen.
