Been looking for something like this, as it's much safer when walking and running round the neighbourhood with traffic and such. Also for taking calls and working in the office, so that we are environment aware. For train and bus commute, will switch to the Sony's NC earbuds/headphones. Excellent review as always!
Exactly, there s enough space for 2 earbuds for everyone, this and an over ear anc can be a person worth of audio gear for like 5 years.
Noise cancelling headphones nowadays have transparency feature that allows you to listen to the outside. If in not mistaken its jot just switching off the nc but kind uses the nc technology and reverse it so you hear more of the outside.
I don't think it blocks anything out... So there isn't any lag when somebody says something.... You heard them the first time not on the repeat
Yes, but the problem is when you're outside with traffic and other people you can't hear them! Ok in an office or a library or somewhere.
Half of the world hates the feeling of in-ear buds rubber tips.
Any alternative is welcome and this one has the benefits of the open design plus it looks really nice.
I've been keeping an eye on open design earbuds since the Xperia Ear Duo came out in 2018 and these new LinkBuds seem like the final version of that idea. Great job Sony! And good name choice lol!

Nah, I like the sealed in feel of the AirPods Pro, then I know I’m getting great sound and great security
When i love the way in ear headphones sound but unfortunately it gives me headaches ..so I’m stuck with the regular pods :/

Why I love Justine - she caters for the hard of hearing viewers like myself - I normally have to wait a day or 2 after her uploads for the captions option to show up but they always do, every one of her videos has English captions to help out viewers like myself. Thank you Justine, you're the best!

I do prefer noise cancelling for when I'm at home relaxing, and don't want outside distractions. But these might make a perfect second pair for when I'm around town so I can listen to music or take calls, yet still be aware of my surroundings.

I get ear pain from vacuum sensation in that ear earphones create and the same ear pain from headphones that has a tight squeeze around my ears. This is perfect for me.

These actually look like the first ones I’d buy!! 😍👏 My ears are incredibly small so all earbuds fall out of my ears! One small thing you can perhaps review in the future as well for earbuds is whether you hear the sounds as an outsider. For example when I’m traveling by train I don’t want the rest of the train to hear my music. 😋

wow! i have been wanting to replace my earbuds and i'm not really sure about the AirPods although i own an iPhone 12 and a MacBook Air M1. i have been a fan of Sony (previously owned two Xperia) and i'm glad they got a new product. i don't need noise cancelling so i think this LinkBuds will be perfect. thanks for the review!

The one thing that makes these the first in ear wireless headsets I might purchase is that the ear size with what Sony is calling fitting supporters that do not have to be removed when you put them in the case.
Apple earPod/iPads do not stay in my ears unless I add third party earhooks. Thing is you have to remove them when you put them in the AirPod case which is one of the reasons I have never purchased any. Use earhooks on my EarPods thing is they have a cable so I do not like to use them on my walks.
So at this time I wear Sony MDR-ZX770BN wireless over ear headphones while out on my walks. In Camas, Washington at the end of the Columbia River gorge it has a tendency to be a little windy at times which is the one issue I have with the cans, my glasses, and wind noise.
Going to wait until these are out for awhile so I can read some reviews. Thing is the pundit clips I have seen so far make me think this is going to replace my cans.

I love this Sony link buds. I bought a pair and I might buy another pair. I have the dark gray ones, but I do want the white ones as well. I'm a Rideshare driver and it helps to have another pair once the other one's have died. I love this type of headphones because, I can still hear everything around me when driving and can answer some questions from my customers.

Why not just get AirPod pro with the transparency mode? You can use noise cancelling if you want, leave it off or use transparency mode. Big miss for me.

for putting my wired in-ear-headphone is always a pain... i cannot ear myself so i always have the feeling my voice is weird, the plastic/gum material of the cords is grabbing every single movement and amplify up into my ear, i cannot ear anything else, so i usually put only 1 at the time when running and it fails ALL the time....
I think Sony is gonna get some of my money!

These are genius as someone whol walks dogs and needs to be aware of their surroundings all the time. I use a JBL clip on my pants, these are a game changer.
