Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup th-cam.com/users/postUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.

I'm happy that tfo rods are made in South Korea rather than some other countries where democracy isn't valued and human rights are not respected. Yes, it's more expensive but every American corporation should strive to help democracies succeed by giving them their business and educating consumers to understand the bottom line isn't the only factor to consider when making purchases. Thanks for this fun tour.

I have TFO fly rods and love them! I have designed an 8'6" fly rod for Lefty some years back (and still have one) I went on with Lamiglas pro staff and design, now I'm flying solo ....Hmmm, very nice video of the plant, they do the same process there as we do here in the USA, nice and clean plant and well organized. thank you for the tour!

All of our conventional and fly rods are designed by BJ and his crew in South Korea. Due to demand, some of our conventional rods are being made in China. BJ 's designs and processes for these rods are still being used in the China factory. Same rod, same process, just a different location.
