  • Check out how graphite fishing rods are made in the USA! Cashion Rods is based in Sanford, North Carolina and they make their rods start to finish right here in the United States of America. Matt Cashion, the owner of Cashion Rods, walks John Crews through how they make a graphite fishing rod.

Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup th-cam.com/users/postUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.

Companies like Cashion definitely deserve more popularity than the companies that simply slap their names on imported China rods, aka “favorite fishing”.

Thanks to Cashion for allowing this tour! I have been able to talk with Paul several times at a local trade show and he does a great job of explaining what sets these rods apart. I currently have two that I use constantly and I have tried out a few others. I have been VERY impressed with Cashion Rods. These are not just another rod made by the guys who are buying pre-made blanks and prettying them up. These blanks are legit, sensitive and very strong and 100% original.
I do feel like they run just a hair stiffer than their weight rating but they also seem to break in a little bit with use. The casting Rod handles work great . I do wish the spinning rod reel seats were different, offering more grip room for those who hold the blank in front of the reel. Either way I will keep buying Cashion rods moving forward for sure.

They ain't that good the muppest who's video it is called it graphite at the start it's carbon pml and there is no ground braking stuff in these rods just simple carbon sticks where if they had mutli directional carbon laid 45 degrees from each layer makes afar better rod better recovery and no twisting in the rod

I fish Dobyns Champion XP's right now. I believe my next rod is going to come from Cashion. Even on a couple of my Dobyns rods, the first guide on the blank isn't centered with the reel seat. Drives me crazy. I am hoping that Cashion's attention to detail can ease my OCD lol. If I am paying 200-300 for a rod I would like to see the guides perfectly straight.
