I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.
Wow! it is really neat to see a top notch manufacture build their product on video. I love how Seeker wraps the end of the sheet material multiple times around the mandrel to reduce axial stress concentrations in the finished rod when it is fighting a fish. Really impressed!

Wow just seeing this out of the box th-cam.com/users/postUgkxQr1yd4Zc6qJF-scTB6Zb9dQbVpviuRxB recommend I have yet to fish with this set up, but based on the first hands on appeal, I can tell this is going to change the way i pack and carry to a whole new level. If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.
Man now I need a custom seeker. Great to see hand made in the USA and I’ll definitely pay for the quality knowing how much skill and craftsmanship goes into making them

I was in your shop in Orange yesterday. Last year I bought a 2x3 and enjoyed it so much this year I had to get a 30# bait/jig stick. You guys build some nice stuff.

Great Rods, still using my BC607 that I don't even remember where I bought it from.
i was a custom rod builder back in the 80s when i first saw seeker blanks,the sales rep said the guys that used to work for sabre now make seeker blanks was this true ? just curios,great video.
Great video. I've just started building custom rods and I know what you mean about the time consuming this hobby is, but when the final project is done great joy. I have a question for you Mr. Dohi, what do you do with the blanks that has in perfections or flaws? I have a lot of trouble finding blanks at a decent price. I'm a disabled combat veteran and I build custom rods and give them to people who aren't fortunate enough to afford a fishing pole, so that's what I do.I sure hope you get back with me a lot of companies just blow me off or ignore my question. Once you fish with a Seeker you will never fish anything else. Love these rods and worth every penny.
Hate to tell you but this isn't how Seeker has made rods for nearly 5 years. The company was sold and production was moved overseas. The gentleman giving this presentation and much of the staff went to United Composites. Seeker rods have gone downhill since the ownership change happened. If you can find a Seeker from before 2017 they are absolutely awesome. Not so much since then though.

I always thought that a rod should be light and strong.....my im12 rod has towed a 7 man boat without arguing with me for a moment :)) (and it is a medium strength for 25g baits)

Seeker’s should start making “Acid Rods” aka “Spiral Wrapped Rods”.., I’ve been a true believer of Acid Rods more and more! I also feel that conventional rods is far more weaker as how it’ll twist as the bigger fishes are pulling HARD!!! And as for spiral wrapped rods there’s no twist lol *smiles* Seeker’s should listen 😉

I have added one step to make my rods perfect; I added weights to the butt under the butt cap to balance the butt with the blade where my fingers hold the rod at the reel seat. The only weight I feel is the lure. My wrist doesn't have to twist the tip upwards against the blade weight, the butt weights do it.

Lol, "as a custom rob builder myself it would take 1 to 2 hrs to apply epoxy on a rod, they do it with a brush I am scared of". Question what epoxy does he use? My flex coat open time is about 20 mins. Great tour thou thanks.

I think it's set perfect. It would be boring with out. Even the real how it's made has music playing during the explanation phase of the video. Is it just that it's not you type of music that makes it annoying? Because when it's rock and roll used it irritates me as well!
