      I was in the UK probably 20 years ago. I got to tour Kew and some beautiful gardens. I love how the culture embraces gardening

      @@Dr.Warren oh yes, I have a veg garden but love to fill it with colour and add more to it every year. I have a busy day job as a lawyer, my garden is my green space to wind down

    So they do have to go thru vernalization process or did we get lucky just spreading them out in late fall here in Zone 5 (IL)? We almost have too many now because they self sow readily.

      You can put them out in the winter and it would be cold enough. What I see here in zone 8 is it will get in the 80's for two weeks in March and they start to pop up. Then we have a late free in April and it knocks them back. So I just hold them until our last front date so I don't have to deal with a late freeze.
