I live in Australia. There is an Art Store in Sydney called Parker's and it is wonderful. Full of almost every art supply you can think of and it smells like an oil painting studio. It is just such an experience to be in the store. Their products are out of this world!
Yes! I understand COMPLETELY how you feel just walking through that store. I'd've been shaking with excitement. I used to spend forever in my local store when I'd go there. Loved the look of that store. Great video. Forgot to comment on the artwork, which is great as usual. I love your style, and that brush was very nice. I usually use two brushes, one smaller for more details. My favorite art store is Jerry's Artarama which has a great online selection. My local store is a Blick's which is pretty good too.
It's refreshing to see a blogger who buys what she needs and doesn't just buy for the experience of shopping! Having said that, I myself am trying to do more of that and use up my supplies! I dabble in sketching but my big joy right now is adult coloring. I do enjoy watching visits to shops, especially if they are in another country! I'm in Canada. I enjoyed seeing your picture come to life!
I loved this video so much when watching it it inspired me to go there I've been watching you for what feels like forever and I finally visited the shop and picked up my first caran dache set of neocolours

Ok I loved your art spending talk towards the end just for us MVPs and I weirdly did a personal finance and art supply buying video today, so these do actually go well together!! Loved the gouache mountain scape, your gouache landscapes have been SO amazing lately. I really enjoyed your mini face in the corner, your editing just gets cooler and cooler! I use usually 2-3 brushes per painting! My favorite art store to walk thru is the Meininger's in Colorado!! (It's where I did my No Budget Shopping Spree!!)
Enjoyed the mini haul and painting. I think even when someone isn't buying anything from a shopping trip. Just walking through a stationary/art store has some therapeautic effect. Something so satisfying about looking at all the colours and things around you.

I LOVE walking through (to me) undiscovered artstores! So much fun seeing all the items and the colors 😍 I'm not very price motivated as that would drive me crazy, so if I like something and I can afford it I'll buy it.
Just wanted to say, you shouldn't feel obligated to tell others why you buy things or apologise for it. It is your money and you should decide on what to do with it. I do find it important to bring the message along with arthauls that you don't NEED all the items/best of the best to create some wonderful art or enjoy the proces. But I find you already make that clear on many occasions, great job!
Nothing wrong with finding the best price! Going thru the store and see many things you like , is a treat I’m sure…. I started in COVID , so have only shopped online. Blick is so far my fav!
Gorgeous painting!! I actually love your mini-hauls better because I can focus on the individual items and feel like I am getting more information about it and how you’re using it. I do love the big hauls too. I have recently found that I do use a #10 round brush for most of my paintings and sometimes only a few more brushes for textures or details mostly (a Fan brush for hair/fur, foliage/grass textures, a Princeton Neptune filbert grainer 3/8 inch brush for the same textures as the fan brush, a Princeton Neptune 2 inch Mottler for flat washes for skies & oceans, & a Princeton Neptune 1/2 inch Oval Wash brush). Thanks for sharing this wonderful video of the store and your painting with us.

I miss London so much. I used to work near Cassart in Kensington which is great to browse in, the staff were really helpful too. There’s an art shop in Camberwell that I always used to drive past but never actually ventured in. Loved the video as always ❤️
I showed up late b/c of my weird notifications, so the premiere didn't start on time for me. Didn't realize that my video was showing the beginning while the chat was already watching the end LOL, oh well.

I missed your live stream 🙄 I was taking a wee break from Social Media - keeps me sane!! This was a fun video. I adored your painting. It reminded me of many a Scottish scene - mountains, water and the bright yellow of Broom growing wild on the hillside… I took a look at that store online, and yep, they have everything, but yep, they are expensive too. There are absolutely zero art stores near me. Even that horrid Hobbycraft is an hours drive for me. I try to buy from as many independent sellers as I can (cost allowing). I’ve never been in a store like the one in this video, and know full well I’d buy everything in sight regardless of price as I simply have no self control 🥴 Maybe it’s just as well I live among the hills, rather than stores? Thanks for the time you take to provide both information and entertainment. I love watching your face as you talk about all the items you saw and made yourself walk past without buying. As a disabled person, you will know that I have a very low income, bu5 even then I notice that an enormous percentage of my finance goes on painting and clay modelling supplies. Perhaps I ought to start using them, rather than hoard?? 😳😳😳🎨🖌👩🎨
Great video, I really like the mini haul with a demo. I buy good paints and paper then tell myself I should save them until I am a better artist. You have encouraged me to start using them.
I love Blicks art store here in the US but shopping on Jackson’s is so fun too. I love your gouache paintings. The landscape was exquisite.

The UK has the best art supply stores and selection, especially for Winsor & Newton paints which is my favorite brand. So it’s no wonder that Jackson’s Art is my favorite art supply store even though I live in the US. I would love to move for access to great art supplies alone.🎨

WOW! The art store walk around was fabulous. The beautiful supplies and the colors appeared to say "buy me, buy me". I also have to control my impulse purchases. I think I have enough at this time. My favorite walk in store is Dick Blick. My favorite catalog store is Cheap Joe's Art Stuff. My favorite on-line store is Amazon. I even shop the local college and university for art supplies. Yes, I admit enjoy shopping and creating. I only use one brush but the other brushes are ready and waiting. The oval brush is called a filbert here in Ohio USA.

Hey girl, sorry I missed your Premier I was at work actually I'm still at work but in a break.
They have my favourite Fabriano paper! That’s the one! And it looks like artist heaven. I would love some of those flat Matt liquitex colours. LGC used to be one of my favourite places to go, along with Cornelissen’s. A someone else said a blast from the past, but looks even better. Jackson’s and Cornelissen’s. Oh and another London one, AP Fitzpatrick, because they do stuff from Kremer.
Oh, Cornelissen’s for the experience! There is nowhere like it, if you get the chance just go. It is filled with good things that artists love. My first ever pad of that Fabriano paper came from there, it was absolutely huge. Not sure I could even afford it these days! Everything is really good quality, and the shop has been there forever. The paper is good for what ever you want to use it with, takes ink really exceptionally well, even the very smallest of technical pens but is also great for water based media, it’s just a really stable surface.
The London Graphic Centre, that's a blast from the past. I hope you're enjoying your new supplies:) The art stores here are rather small and have a limited supply but I loved the shop Boesner in Berlin. It has a great selection.

I’m so late lol. My favorite art store is John Neal Books. It’s local to North Carolina in the states (and my hometown) but they ship internationally and have a lot of customers in Australia interestingly enough. It’s super small but so much fun

I have those brand of paint brushes. They are my favourites. Mine are still in good condition. I bought mine from hobbycraft in Cambridge. 😀

I'm glad I'm not the only one who just walks into a store and needs to absorb for a while!! (Golden and Liquitex are American brands, hence why you prolly didn't see them IRL before.) I don't have any real art stores in my area other than the chain store Michael's which is overpriced unless I'm using coupons or rewards. I mostly shop online at Blicks or Jerry's and occassionally Amazon. The closest Blick store for me is 4 hrs away in Tampa. I may do a road trip at one point. Maybe do an art haul combined with a Busch Gardens trip. Hmmm. That may be a bday thing. 🤔🤔

Here in the USA, a brick and mortar store I go to is Michaels although it's more of a craft store than art store.
That place looks amazing, a trip to London is now on the cards for me soon! 💗💗

my favourite art store is Currys (not the computer place lol) its a canadian art store, dangerous place to go when you are on a budget lol
A stop at london graphic and then a quick walk to the bead shop on tower street was always my favourite trip to london as a kid (I lived in ilford then). My own little bliss. Hopefully a tenner of birthday money in my hand but if not was always allowed a couple of random bead scoops. 80p scoop what a bargain! Trying to make sure you scooped as many of your favourites as you could. Trying to save enough to buy something in LGC after. Heaven. ❤️❤️ if I was really blessed something to eat in China town. This was the late 70s early 80s. Bead shop is now choosing keeping, which is lovely but not many bargains in there. So pricey 😂😂

Omg the store is gorgeous 😩❤️❤️ I really enjoy Fabriano paper product and even though I'm not a watercolor artist I really enjoyed the paper block for my ink illustrations for inktober 👌🏽
@@SketchesnScrubs good to know I still have a spare one so I'll try it with gouache next 👌🏽. I got a surprisingly cheep daler rowney sketchbook to swatch colors and a jackson sketchbook. The daler rowney one handled the gouache better than what I expected but I haven't tested the jacksons one yet

No one understands my joy in art supplies I love , they seem to have a blank face when I try to tell them about it I’ve been going crazy for paint pens new watercolora I bought the color front 52 pan pallette u got and I got the galaxy 52 pallette too! Found a new paper girl affordable from the leather village via amazon omg 100% cotton hand made in India but with virgin Egyptian cotton it’s incredible 50 pagea almost 8”x11”. U might want to try it only 21$ for 50 sheets , and I’ve been going mad for fountain pens and ink on ebay I got fountain pen ink in 7 beautiful colors 3.14$ a bottle , I love hauls and I love being in brick and mortar stores although more expensive I agree

Ooooooh boy if you thought london graphics centre has a lot of paint.... I have some recommendations for you in london =P shoreditch/dalston has 2-3 of the largest art supply shops I've ever seen, and there's a physical jackson's store though i;ve never been to that one! I went to LGC yesterday as I was in the area, got some nice new journaling stuff.
@@SketchesnScrubs Great Art on Kingsland road is the one I pop to most often, they cover a huge variety of art types, and it's close to liverpool street so easy to get to. Atlantis art materials in London Fields is a tresure trove for acrylic/oil/pencil and canvas, their gouache/watercolour selection isn't the best though. AP Fitzpatrick in Bethnal Green, and finally a small treasure trove in Stuart R. Stevenson on city Road just west of old street station. I recommend a bike to get between all these places if you wanna hit them all up in one day, at least that's how I do the rounds when I need new art materials lol
Since art stores in Greece are awful because they only promote 1-2 brands, I haven't got a favourite one. And I adore buying art supplies ☹️☹️☹️

@@SketchesnScrubs yes I have been painting for a few years now. A lot has happened in my like and sometimes I lose my artistic way but I have found it again and just love watching art videos !!! I am exploring water colour at the moment but usually use pastels or acrylics.
