I have a question. Will 4 full pans fit in a row? I see 3 full pans and a half pan in one row of the urban sketches kit but there is still a little room.

I would contact Daniel Smith or the store that you bought the Cobalt Violet at. I have that color and mine is beautiful. Something is wrong with the tube you got. It should not do that. It looks like it’s all filler and they forgot to add the pigment. Anyway it’s wrong and as much as you paid for it…. They should make it right. Did you try using a toothpick to stir it up inside the tube? Maybe the pigment is in there but just didn’t get mixed well. What sketchbook are you swatching this in? Your Khadi fat book?

I found they're the same as the Inktense 12 pencil set; same 12 colors. There's a Tube from Derwent that shows you a step with the block b4 first use 😉 I'm trying them out but I do wonder if something is up with your set.

For the inktense blocks my comment might be a little counter productive but I’ve used a ink stone and that made them much more usable

Watching on the replay (although I did catch some of the stream while you were live today too). I love your ink drawings. I am amazed at how much expression seems to come from just the line variation and the white of the paper. I am not sure if you've already said somewhere on your channel, but how did you learn to draw so well? I am sorta doing things backward - I started learning to paint with watercolour and am now trying to learn to draw to help with my painting. P.S. Right now I am loving Cara Cara oranges!

Could you put a link to that marker holder/organizer case that you show in the first 30 seconds? I'm looking for a case for my 30 markers and it seems what you have fits all the 30 (plus a few extra fineliners if I saw it correctly). Thanks!

Regarding lightfastness, I have taken to fixing my watercolours to a board and then I spray three coats of Liquitex UV varnish and then buff with cold wax medium. (No glass needed) I have not experimented with lightfastness, but I hope that this would make them more lightfast. Not purist, but it suits me.

My no buy flew out the window due to the sale, ended up with 25 new RS colours, 7 Holbein granulating paints and just for fun another 12 Caran D’Ache neocolor 11’s plus 2 new brushes. I am done for the year (probably not) 😂

Ugh nothing like cooperations asking for free labor from a black women in 2025. Also I really don’t enjoy those emails being started with “hello dear” yeah it could be a translation issue, but it feels condescending and a bit misogynist, giving the context of everything else Edit: I commented that before you got to the part about Black Friday, omfg they’re bold!

We should be talking about those types of videos as what they actually are, which is commercials. And if I phrase it like that, who on earth would make a commercial for a business without getting payment? The company is benefiting., they could do much better and they know it Businesses should not have all the power here
