I am enjoying your video loved the Venice trip, been once fell in love with it so want to get back there and paint more. I thought I had a supply problem!! anyway keep them coming its a lovely way of presenting them cheers Paul
I absolutely love the wax medium when I discovered it myself. I've always wanted to find some kind of finish to protect paintings from getting damaged and that was nice to have for adding finish to paintings I love! Definitely worth the buy.
It is really fun to watch your art hauls and to hear your enthusiasm around them. Don't laugh(but I won't stop you lol I am laughing a bit at myself) I have Roman schmal paints that I bought , along with so many other art supplies, to review eventually...but I hadn't allowed my self to touch them until my channel lol.....I am seriously tempted today tho, as I see your obvious love of them. Just a side note, I am on a buying hiatus until I launch, so I can't wait to see for myself lol...oh and Dorlands wax is magical I have mounted some of my work on wood panels and waxed the paintings 7 years ago, no fading of the Cotman paints I was learning with. Huzzah!!
I love Roman Szmal and have a large selection as well. The palettes you have look really interesting. I am going to get some of the Dorlands' wax medium!!
YAY for a new haul! I too love Quin Golds…but I tried DS Aussie Red Gold and WOW 🤩 it’s even brighter and more vivid than Quin Gold. Truly beautiful….if you’re into those vivid burnt orange/rusty color ranges. Try it sometime.👍
That Holbein magenta looks stunning, and that little sketchbook is so cute. I never though about looking on Ali Express. I love your videos, so thank you for all the time you spend making them.
Roman's Paine's Grey is one of my favorites. They really do have such lovely colors. You'll have to let everyone know (when you get to it) what you think of the super heavyweight paper from Jackson's. It almost looks like canvas.
Yeay for mess-around-sketchbooks! I have an ohuhu mixmedia sketchbook a5 size for messing around. It's so fun. Sometimes I just want to put colour on a page without any rhyme or reason, that's my place to do that. I'm waiting on a pad of Fabriano watercolour paper with 25% cotton. I'm so stoked. My paper up to now has been super super cheap paper, but I'm so curious how my watercolours will behave on better paper. I love watching your hauls because you're still so excited everytime by your new supplies. 🥰
I bought the same palette for my Roman Somali - love it! And I’m so glad Daniel Smith has buff titanium gouache. Impossible to find in other ranges. You’re so lucky with that gift. Wow!
I love my Roman Szmal palette of28 full pans, chosen by me, but they are such great paints I want more! So my favourite are your handpicked full pans, though who would not like the full set! I prefer them to ALL my other watercolours, though they do have an equal in my eyes and that is Schminke and not DS. I do love your little gouache palette, I wonder if it would do for acrylic…. I hope you really enjoy your Szmal gift. I was tempted to dash for the quin gold and maybe I need to do a small order soon…..
Every one of your videos brings me one step closer to ordering Roman Szmal paints. But I can’t find them here and the shipping is just 😢 so I live through you ❤
Super stoked to find you! I don’t know how algorithms work and why it’s taken 4+ years into my watercolor journey to find you but now I’m subscribed! 😊
Can't wait to see your Aquarius videos! Seeing the whole range like that is a proper eye candy. I love them and constantly add new colours to my collection, so I think a bigger palette will son be in order :D
I love the Roman Szmal Palette Boxes. Yay for getting the Buff Titanium paint & Dorland’s Wax!! You will definitely love 💕 both of them. Hope you’re enjoying a wonderful week!
Those stackable white ceramic palettes are nice. But if you want to get some on the cheap and don’t mind that they’re not as stackable, don’t have a cover and are not as shallow, you can buy the small white ceramic ramekin dishes at discount, kitchen or thrift stores. They’re often sold with Asian dish-ware bc they’re used for dipping sauces and the like.
Great haul! and all those Roman Szmal paints! what a wonderful gift for you... my favourite? well, most items... but I really liked that round palette from Ali Express... I do wonder if they 'stain' though? I agree with you, I dont think they're porcelain. Take care!
I am so excited about the large empty palette to hold all of the RS paints! i have so many but I couldn’t fit them in ONE palette. Yeah! Also, I really like using RS Buff Titanium. It is one of my go to colors. So much fun watching you unpack these supplies😊
That Roman Szmal color set it simply amazing, the color range is very wide. Definitely I will get one in the future. Thank you for the review, pretty lady 😊
So nice to see all your loot! Yay you 😊. So much fun to be had. LOL, I-feel the need for a not-reasonably-LARGE studio because I’m always tripping, knocking things over…I neeeed roooooom…for safety reasons LOL. Thanks for sharing
My first gouache set was holbein acryla starter set 😍 I hope you enjoy them as much as I did they were very easy to mix with and that's how I understood how quality in paint makes a huge difference 😅 A while ago I got their traditional gouache set as well, haven't tried them yet but always heard that you don't need much to get opaque layers.
Love those stackable porcelain palettes! Fantastic hauls… can’t believe you were able to save them all for one video!! Everything looks like a lot of fun. I picked up a couple of A4 sketchbooks, they’re making me a bit nervous since I usually work in A5 or A6. Love all the colours you bought to prepare for running out of certain pigments/colours. I love Daniel Smith sap green and Quin burnt orange. I admit to ordering a tube of each of those colours last fall when I heard the news.
What a lovely haul! I think my favs where the quin gold ones/ the po48 paints! I feel like I need to search for some of those roman szmall full pans so I don't miss those!
Now that is an art haul! LOL Enjoy your new paints. My favorite item has to be the new Roman Szmal urban sketching kit. I keep eyeing it and will likely pull the trigger sometime this year. :)
Hey girl, i got the holbein gouache myself and found that there was separation int he viridian green if you add a little too much water. and yes I too used a lot of yellow myself
Gorgeous choices! Of course I’m partial to anything Roman Szmal! I just got my very first Schminke Supergrangulating trio, the Tundra set. Now I have another set in my cart plus 3 half pans super granulating! I’m hopeless. Lol
What a great selection in your art haul. I love the Roman szmal the best. If you want nice travel brushes Escoda has super ones. They have a ‘black set’ which contains a bright, a dagger and a round brush. It also gives you an opportunity to try their different lines because each one is from a different Escoda line. I have some other travel rounds from the Escoda Versatil line which I really like. Right now Jackson’s has all Escoda brushes on sale as singles or in sets.
Lets try this again....I lost my last comment and if it pops up again, so sorry for the duplicate....I love those ceramic stacking trays, as well as the rectangular one. Well, at least I think I love it because they have been on my wishlist since I discovered Natasha Newton. You got me started with the gouache palette. I had been wanting to try it, but it wasn't until I saw your review of it that I took the plunge and am so glad I did. I normally paint with acrylics, but they are so very non-travel friendly. We have a lot of camping coming up and I've been practicing with both gouache and watercolor, along with various pens/etc. I have been dipping my toes into the Holbien acrylagouache and so far, I am liking it. I just need to add to my color palette. Are you going to use your staywet palette for those as well? I would like to try, but I am afraid of wasting my paint if they don't stay as moist as my other gouache, which I admit is not the greatest - Himi gel gouache. I am trying to use up most of that huge palette before I buy more. It does okay and plenty of color to choose from. That wax fixitive works fabulously on them.
My favorite is the Roman Szmal paints. I can't wait until they come out with tubes! I'm also curious as to how the Holbein acrylic gouache compares to Turner acrylic gouache. I have some of the Turner, but not Holbein. Oh, and I'm also curious to know how you like the travel brushes you got from AliExpress. I've been looking for a set but they are so expensive. ❤️
Ohhhh girllll!!! I’m super excited for your future videos!!!! Waiting for swatches from this haul, new paintings and so much more!!! My most favorite item from this haul of yours was massive palette you showed. I have been looking for one and thanks to you found it. A tip for using the Daniel Smith watercolor stick is to drop some water on one of those stackable palettes rub the stick on the water and it melts like butter!! There are so many videos on how to use them. Emily Olsen has one dedicated video. Love her and her channel. Also, check out Françoise’s video her channel is painting and chocolate.
Love everything. Holbein gouache is my fave. Check out their irodori sets sometimes (if you want to say goodbye to your money lol...) So many beautiful colors.
I just ordered the Roman Szmal Urban Sketching watercolor palette based on your recommendation in a previous video. I like their choice of colors for this palette. I want to work on my urban sketching. I like the big empty palette you showed at the end of your unboxing. It's perfect for the RS paints that they sent to you. I would probably use something like that but with fewer paints, so it wasn't so heavy. I am enjoying your videos and your upbeat attitude. Keep up the good work!
I’m excited for your review of Holbein gouache- but I’m very tempted to take up watercolor just so I can justify buying those Roman Szmal watercolors!!
Wow! I’d so geek out about these RS paints! I’ve never tried them but would love to one day (the neutrals palette you put together looks so beautiful). Look forward to your videos about these paints!
Hi, just wanted to share that I have had surgery on Tuesday and am home now. It was mastectomy of the left breast, with expander placed below the muscle. I had drains removed today and was released home. I feel a bit uncomfortable but I think it will soon pass. They gave me some kind of regional anestesy and I was able to walk few hours after the surgery.

I too bought all the PO48 I could afford when I found out they discontinued it...I also got some extra tubes of PR206 which has also been discontinued, which sucks because I use both of those in my brown skin tones...which is 90% of what I paint LOL
I love those big empty palettes at the end. I don't see the link Where did you get them from? I also love and collect Roman Szmal watercolors and think they are perfect for all of them
Any news on when the new Roman Szmal Autumn Green will be available to order from Jackson’s? I thought it was out there but can’t find it. It looks gorgeous.
@@SketchesnScrubs Thanks, it pops up, then disappears, just long enough to see it is out of stock, and I’m afraid it won’t be back in stock until the RS sale will be over. 😭 I went ahead and placed an order for 4 more RS full pans, plus a few Schmincke half pans. brushes where my favourite, you can never have too many brushes😀
I really would love a set of Daniel Smith watercolor crayons. I have seen them used and they are gorgeous and I do think they might last a while too.
I’ve never seen Roman Szmal paints before today. You mentioned they were professional grade, I would love to try them out one day.
Wow! Drooling as I repeat to myself, "paint more, buy less"😄
I would like to see your studio or drawing space. How do you organize your endless supplies of watercolors.
