    Thank you for posting this. I am looking for an alarm for my 2011 Transit Connect camper and this is exactly the sort of thing I an interested in. Your video makes it look doable, and gives a decent insight into what you get for the money. Thanks again!

    Thanks for the video mate, I am researching alarm + remote deadlock solution for my old VW campervan and this is really helpful, might go for this alarm as well.

    Thanks that was great, I had a mk5 swb low roof I loved it until I crashed it 😢. I will be putting a system like this in our mk7 Lwb mid roof bus camper , factory central locking is a nightmare so cheers from Australia

    Does the vehicle need to have central locking? I want this kit but I want central locking as well

    • @TurnersWorkshop97
      @TurnersWorkshop97  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This model is for vehicles that already have central locking but no remote. You will need to get a kit that has the actuators and they are installed to the doors locking mechanism.

    This is a brilliant video and some great things to think about. I've got an old sparkrite alarm I purchased years ago for a previous car and never got around to fitting it... no better deterrent than an alarm still in it's box :/ I think I'll have a go finally fitting it... to my van.

    Thanks for posting this video 2 questions. 1. You connected the brown wires to the positive in the front indicators does that mean only the fronts will flash ?
    2. How to i wire in the relay on the immobiliser ?

    • @TurnersWorkshop97
      @TurnersWorkshop97  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi mate, thanks for watching. In answer to your question. The brown wire connected to the front indicators will also do the rear ones as they are on the same circuit. And the kit comes with a wiring diagram for the immobiliser as it varies depending on the vehicle 😊 hope this helps

    Nice video very good. I have a question, can this alarm be installed with only the electrical power supply (red wire and black wire) to make it work only as a volumetric alarm, by connecting the volumetric sensors?

    • @TurnersWorkshop97

    Did you look in to fitting the immobiliser side of the alarm? Guessing it'd be fairly simple to the pump solenoid?

    • @TurnersWorkshop97
      @TurnersWorkshop97  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You definitely could use a relay to disable the pump solenoid or the starter motor. Or both perhaps 🤔 I didn’t use on my van as it has pats already anyway.

  • @fixityourself1111

    Hi, just fitted one and I've used the pin switches and the brake light positive. The alarm wont go off via the pins only the sensors. I noticed you didnt use the pin switches blue wire or the other cables...do you know what the interia light black/ red wires does, and what the brake positive for? Just thought I'd ask you before hawk. Any issues with it, I still need to figure out the central locking but your vid has gave me confidence to do it. Cheers

    • @TurnersWorkshop97
      @TurnersWorkshop97  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello mate, I only used the inputs that I wanted. There are lots of different options to set the alarm off hence all the spare input wires. Like pressing the brake pedal, or the interior light will set the alarm off when the door is open for example. They are pretty responsive to emails so I’m sure they will be quick to get back to you. Thank you, I’m glad you found it useful 😊

    • @fixityourself1111
      @fixityourself1111 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TurnersWorkshop97 thanks for reply, I figured out there's 2 versions , one you can disable the reactivation on key pad or as you did connect wires. If you are installing this look at both installing manuals for this model, also read the user instructions before you start as this answer my question about the blue and white for the brake...it locks the doors after 6-8 seconds if you have wired the central locking up. Again I'm still stuck with the red and black...it says it's for the interior light to come on when triggered and the wire does ground when alarm is triggered but I cant get it to switch the light on when wired into the same cable as pin switch. It must be me lol..anyway it works well now and added a few more pin switches with diodes. 🙂👍

    If you connect pins 3 and 9 together to prevent auto-rearming, as you have done, does that mean it’s not possible to use those wires as the door trigger and dome supervision, as what they’re originally intended for?

    • @TurnersWorkshop97
      @TurnersWorkshop97  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi John, I’m not sure on this one. You could drop them an email and I’m sure they will tell you. I seem to remember using the door trigger on my last van and it didn’t auto-rearm so there is a way to use this feature and disable the auto rearming.

    • @imogenascott5740
      @imogenascott5740 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TurnersWorkshop97 Thanks. I got a reply earlier and they said if you connect both the door trigger and the interior light supervision, it will prevent auto-rearming.

    Quick question..
    So if I already have a car with remote central locking as standard could I run this as a pure independent alarm system without all the central locking wire nonsense and other setup etc.
    As in, lock my door with standard central locking key fob... then activate the alarm off the second hawk fob?
    Or does every wire from the alarm loom have to be connected to work properly?
    Thanks

    • @TurnersWorkshop97
