    Two main suggestions from your comments:
    1. It's best and safest to have the fuse as close to the battery as possible- I have unfortunately overlooked this issue before installing.
    2. In most cars it is possible to run the turn signals from hazard light switch or the fusebox which is easier than wiring each light up individually.
    Thank you for your input, suggestions and opinions!

    I always admired people like yourself who take the time and effort to make a video to help others, well done.
    I have fitted two of these to my cars and are a great job, the only thing I can add is that I got the power connection 's from the back of the ignition switch and to make the indicators flash with the key fobs took the connections from the back of the indicator switch, just an alternative way of doing it but your way maybe more straightforward, keep up the good work.

    Hey Adam,
    I'm installing similar keyless entry to my Vento and want to find a nice spot for the receiver. Wouldn't it be possible to connect the indicator wires on the hazard light switch inside, so you don't have to extend the wires? And also if you would connect the box to a 12V source anywhere inside you shouldn't be need to extend the wires to the battery right? and also the earth/negative. Just some thoughts. Thank you.

    • @Adam_G
      @Adam_G  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, re. the indicators, yes, the hazard light switch was a much much more logical solution that didn't come to my head at the time I was doing the video. The reason why I hooked 12V straight to the battery is because I did not know which components work and which do not when the ignition is off- some cars have their 12V socket supplying constant power, some kill the power the second ignition is switched off. As the box is not an accessory but rather something you want to have constantly powered I'd play it safe and connect the wire to the nearest known permanent 12V terminal, which in my case was the battery. Cheers

    • @Adam_G
      @Adam_G  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Richárd Sógor are your windows one-touch or do you have to hold the switch for them to close fully? If they are one-touch you could send the indicator signal to the window via a one-way diode so that the signal going from box to indicators also activates the switch, but the window switch or the indicators cannot influence each other while the car is running, if it makes sense.

      try this one trick... get a small computer fan and now try to connect the wire like this:
      lock wire from the car->computer fan(+) computer fan(--) ->ground
      Does it work?
      I am asking because my Audi A3 works on a "resistance" principle- straight wire connection locks the doors, whereas if you put a resistor inbetween the wire and the ground it unlocks the car. You can then make a Y-joing from the car lock wire and route straight wire into lock signal and "resisted" signal through the computer fan into unlock signal.

    • @tnamen1307
      @tnamen1307 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Adam G yes it works, I also test by connecting one end of testing light to the said green wire of the Output BCM connector and the other end to negative ground. Thereafter, all 5 doors locked automatically.
      Now, how to unlock all the 5 doors again?
      And, would be pleased to know which wires of the Input BCM connector corresponds to lock and unlock doors. In this case, everything would be done for the remote system if we could locate the said wires.
      With regards.
      Thanks.

      @@reindervliet526 hi, in that case there is one ground and one +12V wire. Live signal is lock while live signal put through a resistor is unlock- you must split the live wire into two and connect straight signal to lock wire in the control module and wire with a resistor to unlock one. I can't tell you which resistor values you need, it'll have to be a bit of trial and error

      yes. the way this kit works is, it tricks the computer into thinking you just turned the key in the door when in fact you pressed a remote. so if your car has central locking, this will work.

      @Adam_G  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Is your fusebox in the front, under the bonnet? Usually the fuses are fed by a master +12V thick wire from the battery, which could be used to power the locking control block. If that doesn't work, you could still feed the wire from the back of the car but since this block doesn't consume much power at all, a simple 2mm diameter (without insulation) wire should be good.
