      @Frank Furter Game changer for some that just want to check boxes for what they want FORD to do and not deal with upfitters that can jack you around getting things done and also not have to travel all over to have it done. For other more experienced and handy folk, sure, it's no biggie.

      @@FordPro I’ve only owned Fords for the last 25 yrs since I started driving. My daily work truck is a F150 and I have a 2023 14 passenger Transit Van on order for my big active lifestyle family. I wish this was available for the password Transit Vans.
      Seriously I think Ford is being held hostage by someone who loves big oil because Fords don’t have to be 100% electric ⚡️ 🔋 but the Hybrid F150 transmission with electric assist and at least the 7.2kw pack on the F150 should be on every vehicle with a 10 speed transmission. Standard equipment!!!

    I love the van but I would have liked to see the hybrid powerboost powertrain from the f150. It would have given better MPG as well as up to 7.2kw instead of the 400 watts.

    How about putting the F150 Hybrid 10Speed Transmission on this and the 7.2kw ProPower OnBoard option, Roof mounted solar, with the ability to run the vans A/C without the gas engine running…
    The Grill is Awesome!
    The fender Flares Awesome!
    The side marker lights Awesome!
    The paint colors options need more excitement like adding:
    Velocity Blue and Space White Metallic…

    Good luck. I just don't get Ford releasing this Transit We are a Ford family and ordered our new Transit in October 2021. Outside of the suspension and large tires, our build is almost exact. In April we received notices our parts are on back order. In July, our dealer called saying Ford canceled our build and we needed to reorder. We did the same day we heard with a $6k price increase from 2022 to 2023. As of November 5th, we receive every 45 days an email indicating our parts are on back order and they are sorry. Good luck if you order the Transit Trail model.

      I agree with this comparison. Apple (and other forward-thinking companies) typically have really great marketing campaigns that keep you engaged the whole time. This was a well put together commercial, with energetic music, and overall, very well thought out information and transitions. Nice job!

    Personally I wanted to see a Transit Tremor on 33's with a front Torsen, rear e-locker, and 4-LOW, powered by a Powerboost system with at least 7.2 kw and maybe a turtle top.

      Totally agree… Where is the Hybrid Transmission and PropPower OnBoard w/7.2kw of battery 🔋 and at least wheel wells that will accommodate up to 33” tires without having to lift the van Sky High or cut out a ton of structure.

      @@geographyinaction7814 Here’s the thing this van has been available since 2014 I think in the USA 🇺🇸 and they are just now doing something like this.
      I had a brand new 2 wheel drive transit in 2015 with the 3.5 Ecoboost Mid roof short wheel base for a work van . It was awesome except scratchy and dangerous in bad weather. The AWD is awesome and wish I had it on that van.
      This trail version is so late to the game but here we are with it about to be available for ordering and Ford only makes it available for the commercial vans. What about the active lifestyle family’s, youth groups, etc that want this set up on the passenger vans?
      Seriously Ford added a body lift, spaced out the wheels and got a new mold made for the front grill and for fender flares. They did not incorporate thenF150 hybrid version of the 10Speed with its electric assist motor in the rear and the available 7.2 kw battery 🔋 to run the a/c when parked without the gas engine having to be on and to assist the van in acceleration to to improve mpgs. On top of that make it a plug in so that it can deplete the battery 🔋 to assist more while commuting and power up when parked at work, job sites, or at home with an outlet.
      Ford should have made a plug 🔌 in hybrid 10 speed available on every vehicle that the 10 speed is currently offered in… They are so lost as a company… lacking real leadership with real vision to improve the drivetrains to be more fuel efficient.
      I personally don’t want a fully electric vehicle but a plug in hybrid makes so much sense.

    Very awesome! Would love to see a Transit Trail Hybrid with Pro Power On Board for going off the grid. Solar is great, but not always available. Would be nice to be able to run an after market A/C all night. Just like the F-150, it could turn the engine on automatically when the battery runs low and shut off the engine when it’s full. That way the van wouldn’t need to idle all night.

    We just purchased a Vandoit, which is featured in many of Ford's marketing photos for the Trail. I can't say enough good things about our new van. It kicks butt and the transit drives like a pickup. It's really awesome!

    Close, so close.... Ford, add a hybrid option to offer the 2 KW & 7 kw power stations. Then add a rear on board gas aux heating system, plumbed directly into the fuel system. AWD, it's OK but really a front wheel drive or rear wheel drive, with 4x4 , like an actual 4x4, with lockers, is much better. Then you can switch it off and on as needed. Dual alternators should be standard, not an option. I am going to guess that the cost of this "package " would be negated by people buying a base model van and doing these mods themselves. Really, it's just a commercial awd transit with a hitch, a lift and bigger tires.

    YES!!! THIS is what people have asked for and you gave it to them! Awesome! We can tell that someone who actually goes camping helped with this van because SecuriCode is now standard. Hikers & outdoorsmen LOVE that! The only questions I have is if the Sync 4 system has Trail Maps like Bronco and is it going to have a "trail view" camera?

    Very cool! This is definitely the platform I'd choose to build a camper van. I like the Sprinter, but the high maint cost and lack of service centers are huge negatives. This Transit Trail is a great alternative that comes with solid off-road capability right out of the box.

    I've been in the Ford Transit van community for years and I am also a Ford Senior Master technician.
    I can tell that Ford has done the back end customer research. They've taken care of basically all the issues customers have dealt with on standard transits when trying to force them into the adventure role.
    Absolutely impressed by this one, Ford knocking it out of the park once again.
    Keep up the good work, so proud to work with such an incredible company.

    Nice concept, but not having a 4x4 powertrain is a BIG MISS. Might be good for families who want to feel like they are outdoor enthusiasts, but it's worthless to me without 4x4.

    Just need to make it a hybrid for better MPG and double use as a large house battery. Also I’d pay extra for factory installed insulation, double paned windows, and underbody coating

    You know what would be nice... If ford design their van so you could change the transmission filter without taking the front end off or the brakes so you didn't have to change pads prematurely to prevent having to replace the calipers or windshield that doesn't breaks on its own

    Why are they introducing new vans when they can't remotely fill orders for current ones. I've been waiting for over a year for my transit to be built with no build date in sight. I ordered a 2022, got balanced out. Then forced to pay 7k more to reorder same thing as 2023 model. Please build my order soon. Also, this looks like it's going to be an awesome van!

    I’m not a fan of the transit but this is great. If I were to purchase I would want it a blank slate and not prebuilt. This will be a game changer for the transit lovers! Looking forward to seeing a vanlifer do a tour.

    It needs an "Adventure Electrical Package" with up to 15-20 kwh of lithium batteries, a 2-3k inverter. Enough to run a fridge, a/c and maybe even an induction hob for a day or two (400 watts? that's pretty much a worthless, "Why bother?"). The second alternator should be set up for recharging the lithium batteries alone. A second roof hole with support structure for a roof a/c or a under-floor system lifted from an EV would also be a popular option. There's plenty of room for other options but these are the ones that are no-brainers.

      @@michaelgriffin4386 Packaging would be the biggest issue, there's only so much room without resorting to using interior space. But if Ford designed them they would be engineered for the vehicle and not pieced together, hodge-podge, from whatever suppliers happened o be the cheapest at the moment. I would imagine that house power is the #1 struggle for DIY conversion owners.

    Great product! I love all the improvements, lift, 4WD, Maxair fan, trailer hitch, very cool. The only feature that misses the mark for me is the 400w inverter since I'll have 2000w available in the back. How did Ford hit on 400w as the magic number? No big deal as I'm sure that it doesn't add much cost or space. A feature I'd like when ordering the up-spec alternator is cabling coming through the firewall that can carry 60a for charging large LFP house battery banks. At least provide a plug-filled hole in the firewall so that I can route the cables myself. BTW the jarring music in this video sounds like it's for the man-boy pickup truck market. For me the theme of a camper van is "mellow" not "excitement".

      400w inverter was something they already had as an option in the Transit and other models.

It can be used full-time on all surfaces, including pavement, like full-time 4WD. The only difference is that a "4-low" setting is not available on AWD vehicles. Due to the lack of "low range", AWD vehicles are much less capable in off-road settings than full-time 4WD vehicles, but work perfectly well on-road.“

    Does this come with the hybrid ecoboost? Unless I missed something it doesn’t seem like it.
    I have a powerboost and the 7.2kW generator is the best thing since sliced bread for camping.

    Excellent market research by Ford. I’m definitely the DIYer. The only thing holding me back is the intentional omission of PHEV tech. It brings the best of both worlds together and is the right tech to really fight climate change. Just the right size battery to capture most commutes while having gas range for less frequent long road trips. The Ecoboost is too thirsty for me, and the current electric Transit range is too short. A massive Hummer battery would not be the right alternative.

    As a rural mail carrier this is almost the van I want. Still needs: all electric, right hand drive with SLIDING driver door to allow mail delivery with door open, super tight turning radius, camera based side and rear view “mirrors”

      Sounds amazing. They have the E-Transit. it doesn't have much range but range could maybe be extended with solar charging. It would also need mods to be off road capable I think

      I don't know if you'll get the Transit E Custom in the US but have a look at Fords new release videos in Europe.
      They have designed electric vans with delivery drivers in mind with all kinds of functions to aid stress and fatigue, its next level impressive.

    I am in California and we heard this van was available in Oct 2022, but there are none in California that I know of. My local dealer ordered 2 of them last October 2022 and so far nothing. Ford Pro is way ahead of itself. It is August 2023 and my dealerships laugh when I ask about the Trail. Matter of fact, out here, there are very few regular transit vans. Cant get them. I have been calling dealerships for weeks and nothing for me. I am tired of waiting and searching.

    Looks good and eager to see one in person. First thing that stood out to me is the low hanging exhaust pipe.... why? Worth the time to reroute that so it doesn't drag if featuring good clearances. IMHO.

      I noticed that as well, I wonder if they changed the rear suspension setup because the current Transit has the shock mounting point under the rear axle about halfway to the differential.

    Of course, they come out with the Transit Trail after I already bought my van. Luckily, the only thing it has that wasn't available before is the lift and larger wheels and tires. I may have an aftermarket lift kit installed on mine, but I'm not in a hurry. I haven't seen a Transit Trail go down the assembly line yet. I'll be looking out to see one.

    Why don't you guys sell these in Malaysia? Malaysian are crazy about their van. They would love this product. They even have their own secret van community there. These would sell out fast like your Ford Rangers in Malaysia. Easy sales if the price is right and make your spare parts easily available. You would definitely give the Toyota van a run for it's money.

      agreed but Ford should sell us a diesel turbo version, not the EV. Make the transit have the same engine and transmission specs as the new Ford Ranger Malaysians are crazy about. Even I will buy these for my business. That cargo space is bigger and what I just need.
