You are so right. I’ve given birth to eight healthy babies and suffered one miscarriage, and that child I did not get to raise here on this side of eternity means just the same as my other living children. People would make the most callous remarks, one of the most common being, “Well, at least you have these other kids.” As if my living children make up for the one I lost, like offsetting penalties in the NFL! smh.
My mom had three miscarriages and had two girls born full term (1965 and 1970), but the first girl died at three days and the second died at eighteen days old. My parents couldn’t have girls due to a chromosome issue. They were able to have two healthy boys though. This was the reason I was adopted. My parents firmly believed that all of that happened because God wanted them to be my parents. I am grateful.

So there just things that happen.
That would have been so hard for your Mom. My twin sister was stillborn in 1972. Mama never got to see her, let alone bury her. I miss her even though I never really knew her, but my heart aches for Mama.

The first thing I did when I was told I was having a miscarriage was call a friend who I knew went through one herself. So much healing in talking to other mommas who get it. Sorry for your lost.😢

This is true when your surrounded by those that don't they can be cruel expecting you to just be ok because you didn't have the baby outside daily.😢

I'm so sorry Holly. It's So Very, very hard.
I've had 3 miscarriages, but my 4th was December 21, 2021. I tried to be happy for my kids at Christmas.
My other miscarriages were 11 weeks and under.
With this one at 16 weeks I didn't expect my milk to come in which made it harder.
I elected to miscarry at home which was a much better experience and less painful than the hospital.
I'm so thankful for your bravery in making this video to help others.
While i was watching this video I thought of the many videos you so beautifully signed help others as well. I wish I could give you a big hug .💗

it is hard, the face of horror in you and your kids face had me in tears. also with autistic kids it’s even harder. a miscarriage isn’t the best with mental health. I’ve just watched the headstone one u uploaded it shows if it’s been a year, it can still hurt. she’s in a better place, she’s ready to meet u up there. she will introduce you and love you. ❤ she’s in heaven living her best life.

I'm really sorry for your loss. We found out today at 21 weeks that my placenta is placenta acretta. I really pray you and your children and husband are able to heal from this. I will lose my uterus for sure And hemorrhage in c section and a hysterectomy 😢 I pray I can get far enough along without her being at risk 🙏

My mom lost one around 20 weeks when we were on vacation in CA. They didn’t let her see the baby back then or even know the gender! They just threw it away. 😢 I am so glad you got to see and love your baby. I always mourned the sibling I lost. They were a couple of years younger than me.

I'm 10w3d and I just learned today that I've lost my baby. They had no heartbeat and I'm devastated. I'm so grateful for you sharing your story, as this is giving me comfort. I feel so empty and that this is my fault. I can't imagine what its like to have to give birth. I'm still so anxious about passing the pregnancy and I'm not looking forward to this.

I just ran across your video, my sister lost her baby as well just couple months after you (based on the time this video was released). She found out at her 20 week anatomy scan. Her little one passed around 18 weeks they guessed. I am so sorry you have had to experience this. Just being the sister/aunt has been heartbreaking and I know it has been very hard for my sister and her family. I hope your family is finding healing with time as she is. Thanks for your example of faith and for letting others to know they are not alone.
Thank you for sharing your own experience too. We are healing. It has been 5 months now and though I still get emotional when I talk about our daughter, it is getting better. I like the quote, when a loved one dies, it's like there is a hole in your heart. the hole is always there, it never goes away, it just gets small enough that you don't fall in.
We've been trying for a baby since twenty thirteen with no luck. In 2019 I found out I had a tumor inside my left ovary. I had to have surgery to haven't taken out, Four months later they removed my overy. I've done twelve rounds and fertility treatments. We've had five miscarriages before six weeks, We lost our son, Ezra Nikolai July 2022, at 14 and a1/2 weeks. We had another miscarriage in November, 2022 at 8w /5days. The day I went in for my d&c, My husband and I decided we were going to give up after ten years of trying.
Today I am fourteen weeks pregnant, First day of my second trimester. We just found out we were having a boy. I'm so nervous, But so excited. This is the first time we've gotten pregnant without medication. ❤
I chose to give birth to my son. I hated that I was giving birth, but I couldn't take my baby home. The pain never goes away, but it's does get easier to handle. I think of him every day. ❤

Just yesterday I was overcome with emotion and had to leave a family party and go into a room and cry because I was sad again about my miscarriage of my daughter. Sorry for your loss. I miscarriaged my child 14 years ago. Broken hearted still but life goes on. Now I'm looking after my lovely mum. Who had a stroke 12 years ago has parkinsons disease and dementia. I know my baby is waiting for me too. God bless you and your lovely family.

I have 3 older kids with my first husband. My current one had no kids of his own and after seeing him with my kids and loving them as his own I knew I had to try an give him one. After my last one I found I had a clotting disorder so with the help of shots and the grace of god we had been blessed with our baby

I can totally understand the sadness that the older children are feeling even though they’re trying to be strong. I remember when the doctor told my mom that she lost my brother and I cried with her. That excitement that I felt was no longer there and I felt so bad for my mom and dad in that moment.

After I lost my baby, I remember talking with an older woman who had been through this many years before and I was amazed that the pain had lessened for her because for me it seemed like it would never end. I was 6 months pregnant and went in to the hospital and had to deliver my baby boy and I got to hold him and 15 minutes later he passed away in my arms. I also lost another son when he was 11 months old he died in a car accident and I was able to donate his organs. I will miss both of my boys so much. That’s a wonderful story that you shared with us and I’m so deeply sorry for your loss. ❤❤❤

I just went through this experience a few weeks ago. I miscarried at 16weeks for my first pregnancy and my husband and I chose to do labor and delivery for our daughter. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life. Finding videos like this helps me see I am not alone. ❤

I was 19 weeks when an ultrasound was done and the doctor said “oh there is no heartbeat” and then he sent me home with a cup and told me when I passed the fetus to put it in there and bring to him. I spent 2 days grieving, knowing my baby was dead and just waiting for labor to start. I started bleeding heavy and went to emergency room and they decided to do a DNC. I was never offered to labor and deliver, not offered to see gender, just given a dnc. I will never forgive myself for not advocating for myself and my needs. I wanted to know if I had a boy or girl and I wanted to see my baby. It was so traumatic!

My baby died inside me at 18 weeks also in the year 2000 and was also a girl, but my experience was nothing like yours. I never got foot and hand prints because the midwife said the baby's skin would pull off with the ink and be stuck to the paper. I also never got to bathe or dress her or have a basket and bedding to make her presentable. She was brought to me in a silver kidney dish with a paper towel covering it. I picked her up she fit in my hand her head on my fingertips and her feet at the bottom of my hand. I was heartbroken. I remember wrapping her up in the paper towel like it was a shawl or blanket and placing her back in the kidney dish for the midwife to put back in the fridge on the ward. 23 years later and I'm still trying to get over the trauma it has left me a changed person as I have suffered from deep depression everyday since and tried to take my own life a few times because of what I went through and now live with.
Thank you for sharing. I am so sorry for your loss. That is so heartbreaking. Your girls is is still yours. She is your daughter and I believe you will see her again and meet her and get to know her. I believe that everything in this life that is unfair will turn out fair in the next life. Hold on to Hope and know that there is a reason to live, always. do you have help available to you? Someone who you can talk to about your grief?
