The thought that being born a few hours before midnight would have meant death for these babies is just heartbreaking! Thank God they made it ❤

As somebody who is currently 22 weeks pregnant, I cried so much watching this video! How beautiful to see that even being born so early, they have little fingers and toes and are fighting so hard to survive 🥺🤍 It was interesting to see that my little one currently looks like that inside the womb! It made me cry. So glad your babies are healthy and happy 😊
In 1967 I was on night shift with 4 premature babies. A boy weight 475 grams. An incubator feeding tube and Oxygen were the only treatments at that time. He stayed in the hospital for 4 month and survived. It was a miracle!
My mum was born about 4 months early in 1941! She was 1½ pounds. She was put to one side thinking she would die. The midwife heard her squeak! They put her in a shoebox on a hot water bottle and fed her with a sterilised fountain pen! She weighed 8 lbs at about a year old! She's now 84! Then I had my son 35 years ago weighing 2lb 10oz at 26 weeks. If my mum hadn't have survived I and my brothers and all our children and now grandchildren wouldn't exist! Feel blessed every day ❤
My son was 6 weeks premature in 1982, born with pneumonia and not expected to survive the day. We are very happy to say he just had his 41st birthday recently 😊. He and his wife also had premee babies and they are fine now. We kinda thought he was tiny until I saw your story! I found myself tearing up,God is so awesome! May your days and years ahead be blessed! Thank God for your beautiful babies!!
@@pamstocker4911that's not true.. I was always told no more than 3 months along. My birth mother actually hid her pregnancy and when her mother found out took her to the abortion clinic immediately and she was going to abort me but she was 3 months along and the doctor said it was too late and he refused to do it and that was back in 1985. I didn't think at all that abortions are done past 3 months, legally at least and especially now with them changing the laws. It's really hard to even get an abortion, but that's making more people having illegal abortions or doing it themselves at home, which is no good for baby or mother. A woman has a right to choose regardless of what other people think you don't know unless you're in that situation and I am definitely per choice because that's better in the long run. Having people doing illegal abortions and in their homes is so dangerous for mother and baby but they're going to do it anyways because not everybody is ready to have a child or they could be a victim of rape for sexual assault or in a abusive relationship. But nine months there's no way I'll have to look that up. But I will be absolutely apologized if that's true cuz I really didn't think that was possible let alone ethical or legal...
My friend's youngest was a micro-preemie, delivered at 24 weeks but the size of an 18-weeker. After she was out of the woods -- when she was around three -- her doctors admitted to my friend and her husband that they never expected Mary to survive but that they had determined that she she wasn't going to die because they'd let her down but because she'd given up herself and was ready to go. Her bowel went gangrenous and they had to remove most of it, and they later said that they didn't expect her to survive the surgery but, again, they didn't want the reason Mary died to be because they'd given up on her. Twenty-three years later, Mary's healthy, full-term son was delivered by the same doctor who had delivered her.
THAT'S SUCH A WONDERFUL STORY AND I'M SO GLAD THAT SHE LIVED !!!!! TO CHANGE THE SUBJECT , MY GYNECOLOGIST WAS THE SAME DOCTOR WHO DELIVERED ME 17 YEARS BEFORE I WENT TO HIM FOR MY FIRST APPOINTMENT WITH HIM TO HAVE A REGULAR GYNECOLOGICAL EXAMINATION !!!!! I WENT TO HIM UNTIL HE RETIRED MANY YEARS LATER !!!!!! 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ !!!
Slightly smaller! That is an understatement! They could barely be seen! Poor little babies! What saved them is that they were born in 2022, with all the technology available! I’m sure these two parents were extremely grateful! I just hope the babies won’t have long lasting complications. It’s wonderful that their parents truly wanted them so much! 😊
I went through the same thing. When they are that premature the doctors , and nurses tell you straight away that they can’t save them, and that the babies are not viable. I had my micro preemies in 2007. I was 37 and a type II diabetic, advanced maternal age. I was 26 wks. & 4 days. Both babies delivered vaginally weighing a pound each. They spent 96& 94 days in the hospital, and now at almost 16, I know I am truly blessed. Congratulations to you❤
Kudos to the parents for never giving up, the husband who was so compassionate & understanding, & for the medical team for working hard to sustain life!
My oldest has cerebral palsy, hes 48 years old. He was 3 months old when he was diagnosed. I promised him I would always be there for him , I have been.
This is incredible! My twin girls were born at 21.5 weeks. This was 1990 and they wanted to get me to 27 weeks for them to have a chance. Their death forever changed my life .
You mean they refused to keep them alive because of a couple days?! I don’t believe that in this video, if she had her babies 5 hours before midnight, that they would INTENTIONALLY let the babies die? I never, ever knew about that and it makes me so disgusted and angry! If they come out alive, keep them alive! It doesn’t matter how young they are, they’re alive and living and breathing and their brains are working and their heart beating and their blood is pumping and their lungs are working and their eyes are moving! I can’t imagine and I cannot understand why they would do that! I am TERRIBLY sorry for your loss, Sondra. ♥️🥺
I am so sorry for your loss, and your grief has impacted your life all these years, I can understand that- I had an ectopic pregnancy in 1983 and it changed my life forever. You see, as I lay in dreadful pain day after day we had no idea what was going on. My doctor said that as I was bleeding they could not do an ultrasound until the bleeding stopped. Well, I continued to lie on the lounge and suddenly i was looking at my body thinking, {Oh, so that is what i look like). I then had what is known as a deep core Near-death Experience, in which I died and went with my daughter's soul to Heaven. It was so beautiful there and I met some relatives whom I instinctively knew, although I do not know how I could have known them. I also met another soul who was my sister. I cannot write all the details of my experience here in this space.Suffice it to say the course of my life changed, with profound grief, but I resumed my studies at uni and became a psychologist. The extra detail I can share with you involves the sister I met in Heaven. I had no idea how this could be as I have a sister who is older than me and very much alive. One day I told my mother about it and she tole me that she had lost a baby in between my sister's birth and mine. I still miss my baby but I know she is fine and happy and I will see her again, and i absolutely believe that you will meet your twin girls again when it is your time. God Bless you, my dear.
Sondra, as a post-script to my previous reply: no matter how much you grieve for your girls, you cannot be with them until you have reached the natural term of your life. I pray for your peace, health and well-being. God Bless you. from Linda
luckiest kids not for the medical care but for the loving parents... so lucky i cry just watching = what it must be like to have parents that love you like that! i can only imagine.
The contrast in parents who could care less vs. parents desperate to save the lives of rheir child(ren) is nothing short of amazing. To all those who cruelly ignore the evidence: these ARE babies, they ARE human, they ARE alive, they DO feel pain. Please see their value & love them. Cherish them.
My nephew was born 16 wks early in 1993. He was 1 pound heavy and could fit in my Dads hand. Smallest baby to survive in Australasia at the time 😊 I was 7 y/o and didnt really know/care too much at the time but as an adult, the miracle of his survival crosses my mind everytime i see this giant man who has 3 of his own kids now. Medicine is amazing. Happy for this couple and thier beautiful twins ❤❤❤
A miracle for sure but you might be off a bit on the weeks. A fetus at 16 weeks is no more than appox. 5.5oz. Still, must have been an amazing hospital to be able to care and contribute to his survival.

Amazing story! My daughter was born at 23 weeks weighing 1lb 1oz and I know exactly your journey. Our kids are heroes. Toughest babies ever. We spent 159 days in the NICU and never looked back. I am so happy to see them both doing AMAZING 💗💗💗💗
What a wonderful example of parents' love for their children, the wonderful medical care they received, and the great grace and power of God in your lives. May you all continue to thrive and encourage others with your experience.
My twin sister and I were born at 25 weeks (1lb 9oz for me) in the late 1980s. She died after 2 days but I had no medical problems and went home after 2 months in hospital. I miss her. ❤
We did comfort care for my 12 yo son when he was dying of cancer. They called it pediatric palliative care. When I was told we were expecting twins, I felt so much dread that they weren't going to make it to term and I would be holding a dying child again. The only twin pregnancies in my family had resulted in late term miscarriages. My twins ended up making it to 36 weeks, due to obstetric cholestasis and me being 42 yo. So grateful they didn't see the inside of a NICU. It's lovely that everything turned out well for this family.
I don't know... At what cost to the babies? Will they walk talk? Do they have brain damage? I'm glad I'll never have to go through this, my first grandson was born at 20 weeks, they would not do anything for him.
@@dawnmichelerang5945 36 weeks is only 1 week short of full term. My twins are 17 months old and thriving. They have amazing vocabulary and the words they can't pronounce yet, they use baby sign language. Obstetric cholestasis isn't typically associated with any developmental issues. It's a risk for stillborn, so Dr's don't wait for you to reach full term.
This is amazing. I was born at, I think, 26 weeks. In 1981, that was a big deal. It's so beautiful how well these little ones did, and that they were able to survive at such an early stage in development! Thanking God for these little miracles. My heart goes out to anyone who has lost a preemie, or any child of any age. **hugs**

Sadly, there are still many many hospitals that would not respect your wishes to try to save your babies if they were to be born today. I hope and pray that any woman who faces this situation be in a hospital that will try to save the babies if that is her wish, regardless of gestational age.
Life is so precious and such a gift. These were the perfect parents for this challenge. As a retired medical provider….hats off to the parents and team. This pay off is why we do what we do. Everyone on that team is invested in saving those babies. Bravo! Wishing a lifetime of happiness for all. ❤️🙏
God bless! I gave birth to two extremely premature baby girls 30 years ago. They were 23 and a half weeks along. One of my babies...Aleesha, died after about an hour :( However, Ashlee survived and is my best friend! Well, that was over 30 years ago. I'm sure the medical field can do so much more for preemies now. Enjoy your miracles!
I pay respect towards you as you had to deal with that. A mother’s greatest fear is losing one of their babies. I am actually pregnant, almost 8 months and I’m terrified for birth knowing that there’s a possibility that my baby could die… To everyone who has given birth, bless your cotton socks because for me, it’s the scariest thing that can be done.
My grandchildren, twins born in week 27 weighing each 1000 gr had nothing wrong with them. Except being small. They spend 10 weeks in hospital and are now 2,5 years old. They are still small but doing great❤❤ Doctors told us, that some preemies simply don't know, that they are preemies😉we also learned that weight is not the most important, their development is far more important. Especially their lungs
What a wonderful film. I smiled when mom said they were born perfect, because they were. Wishing the family much love and luck for the future, and thanks to the production team for such a lovely film.
31 years ago at Toronto’s Mt. Sinai, my son was considered “the edge of viability” and a micro-preemie at 28 weeks gestation. He has done everything that they said he couldn't..he walks, he talks, he thinks, and he is extremely healthy. I’m a twin and my mother went into labor at 20 weeks, and remember back in that day they didn’t have the technology like ultrasound from what my said. She gave birth to my sister weighing in at 2 bounds and me weighing in at 1 in half bounds. We looks like aliens our eyes where bigger than our head so weird to look at our newborn pictures. I stayed in the hospital for 5 months while my sister got out sooner. We turned out to be okay. But it was touch and go. We survived. I guess the reason I bring this up is because they are not the tiniest twins to ever be born. My mom also ended up in a coma for some time after our birth she also almost died. God bless to y’all everything will be okay.
I have just watched this video in March 2024. I wonder how they are doing now, at TWO years old?!? Such positive supporting parents! God Bless Them! Thank you for sharing their story.
A beautiful story, my grandchildren were born at the end of 2022 prematurely 24 weeks and 25 +1 weeks, yes they are twins, a girl and a boy and they are doing extremely well, your story brought everything back to me, although it is never far from my thoughts, they are my two little miracles, I am so happy that you have your 2 little miracles, congratulations
How wonderful that these parents were encouraged to come in and spend lots of time with their premises. When my premie son was born, I stayed at the hospital for several hours a day, but could only stare thru the glass at my little baby after feeding him only once a day for 15mins - the max time allowed. Two nurses out of the five working in the unit were extremely mean
I used to sing 🎶 that song to our youngest son. When he just turned 1 he spent a month in the PICU. He was in a medically induced coma. When I would sing it his little heartbeat would go up and we knew he somehow was able to respond to his momma’s voice.
Lovely story of hope, faith and perseverance. So happy to see your twins celebrate their first birthday. They look amazing. Good job to all who fought to save your babies. 😊

I am so happy for you all. This shows the strength of the whole family! I have two kids that were micro-premies. One girl, 2 lbs. 5 oz. and the other boy, 2 lbs. 13 oz.! Now they are thriving teenagers and have no issues, except my son has a slight speech expedient. He almost died in the NICU, but now a growing young man.
My sisters born 1951 7 months weighed 4lbs. One died, funeral shock, a week later the 2nd one died. My father never forgave himself. It is incredible that these babies went home.

Whilst training as a midwife in UK I was thrown right into the deep end when I was handed the care of a 16 year old who was pregnant with 23 week twins. She said her waters had broken around 6am and she came in by ambulance at 8 am. When I checked her, baby was already delivered into the vaginal vault (between cervix and outside). It was the baby’s shoulder that was sticking out. I was told by senior staff to consider as a late miscarriage. That was until baby A came out trying to cry and she also breathed. We tried to keep baby B in for as long as we could as her water was still intact and contraction’s stopped. Baby B was born a few hours after her sister. Baby A went home 3 months later but baby B didn’t make it. It was so difficult as a midwife but I can’t imagine how bad it was for the family.

He and his wife also had premee babies and they are fine now. We kinda thought he was tiny until I saw your story! I found myself tearing up,God is so awesome! May your days and years ahead be blessed! Thank God for your beautiful babies!!
Yet abortions can be done up to 9 months😢
Grieves me!
!
@@amymccullough4396it was definitely true!!!!

Hearing dad sing the same song my dad sang to me as a child brought back such fond memories.
I'm an old lady. A grandma.
Thank you.💜🇨🇦
My friend's youngest was a micro-preemie, delivered at 24 weeks but the size of an 18-weeker.
Omg that's insane! Wow! Congrats to the whole family
😳😳😳What an amazing, miraculous story.
Wow Mary really wanted to live, that's beautiful ❤ kudos to those doctors for not giving up on her!
Wow.
I’m so glad they didn’t give up on their babies! Their gratitude is pure.
Congratulations to you❤
❤ 🙏🏼
Bless you❤
No one can measure the Human Spirit or GOD'S GRACE 🙏 GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS ❤🙏
When they got released from NICU , what was their weight
Kudos to the parents for never giving up, the husband who was so compassionate & understanding, & for the medical team for working hard to sustain life!
My oldest has cerebral palsy, hes 48 years old. He was 3 months old when he was diagnosed. I promised him I would always be there for him , I have been.
At what week was he born ?
This is incredible! My twin girls were born at 21.5 weeks. This was 1990 and they wanted to get me to 27 weeks for them to have a chance. Their death forever changed my life .
Sorry babe.
I am so sorry for your loss ❤️🙏🏻😢
You gave her physical comfort for the whole 22weeks you carried them.
Exactly what I was thinking after watching pro life videos. If only all babies could be valued and loved like these
My nephew was born 16 wks early in 1993.

I'm crying! What a beautiful story, I really lost it when they got to take the babies home from the NICU and all the nurses were clapping ♥
That’s where I lost it too ❤
They are both so precious and their parents seem to deal with any problems with a positive attitude. It’s amazing what today’s medicine and knowledge and dedication and love can do. Best of luck to Adiah and Adrial and their parents.
Oh my god what a journey these two little ones have come through,,the parents are amazing and the Drs and Nurses are amazing beyond words.
To the NICU nurses, you absolutely make a difference with every thing you do and each warm touch you give them. We know you go home and pray or meditate or just relax. Thank you !
This documentary is a prime example of how all the constant music playing louder than the folks talking just isn't necessary. Thank you to the documentarian team for not doing that with this one. It was nice to feel the story based on the story and not feel like I can't even hear what's being said. So appreciated!
My twin nieces were born at 24 weeks. They are both doing so well. In normal school they are now 11yrs. Prayers that yours do as well as my nieces
Wow they are some strong parents. The babies sure are fighting. God bless 😢
im fighting the urge to cry but the parents have been so so positive the whole time. I dont understand how they could be this strong omg
Babies are stronger than most people think just have the faith in God and prayers
What a wonderful example of parents' love for their children, the wonderful medical care they received, and the great grace and power of God in your lives. May you all continue to thrive and encourage others with your experience.
What a lovely story! Praise be to God for a happy ending!
I too was born 22 weeks in 1977 and today I'm still alive and strong, praise be to God the giver and keeper of life 🙏 Amen 😊
It’s amazing you survived that far back considering what preemie care was like at the time.

Yes, this is a MIRACLE. Please stop aborting. these MIRACLES, PLEASE!!!!
❤Jesus loves you so much!❤ I am so sorry for your loss!😢
**hugs**
I'm currently 22 weeks and 5 days. It's comforting to know that if anything happens now, there's still a chance he could be okay! Those babys are so tiny!
I hope you have a healthy delivery! My baby girl is 6 weeks old now and I pray that you have a healthy, happy baby as well 🙏🏻💗☺️

Don't watch all this video's when you are pregnant watch things which are not related to pregnancy like comedy video love stories that helps to have good mood
Sadly, there are still many many hospitals that would not respect your wishes to try to save your babies if they were to be born today. I hope and pray that any woman who faces this situation be in a hospital that will try to save the babies if that is her wish, regardless of gestational age.
I’m 3 months pregnant and I cried seeing both of their little smiles and laughs. I can’t wait to see my baby like that.

Wow, what a miracle. That time the technology was so much less able than it is now.
What a beautiful couple, its nice to see how caring the husband was, and the unstanding that they could have lost their babies.
Beautiful and precious babies. Against all odds, you never gave up, you explored all opportunities to give your babies the best chance at life.
31 years ago at Toronto’s Mt. Sinai, my son was considered “the edge of viability” and a micro-preemie at 28 weeks gestation. I still have so much love for the incredible staff and support we received. I’m blown away that these beautiful twins were able to survive so young. May their lives continue to be a wonderful blessing to those loving parents. Oh and my son…brilliant, happy and healthy!
My son was born at 24 weeks...12 weeks early.....he is now 30 and my best friend. He is also a college graduate. He has done everything that they said he couldn't..he walks, he talks, he thinks, and he is extremely healthy. He was out of NICU in 7 weeks which had us so happy as it seemed like they wanted him to die so that they could be right. He was tiny. I don't think that I put him down for the first 6 month's. Nobody dies of SIDs while being held
You are an amazing mom ❤
This is an amazing story. I really hope the technology improves to save more babies that are born earlier. I'm so glad they made it.
I cried throughout the entire video, but they were tears & prayers of hope & strength for Adiah & Adrial AND their loving parents...What a story they'll have to share with their children when the right time comes...I have to say seeing that precious little boy's smiles at their birthday party simply "Melted my Heart"...May God continue blessing this strong & resilient family...🙏🏻 💕 I'm truly SO happy for them!!! Amazing! I’ve never heard of micro-babies! So fragile and beautiful. I’m so glad they lived!
It is micro preemies not micro babies lol
Soooo Precious and Priceless the way they Grip your finger with their tiny hand!! They feel your Love!!!
It’s a reflex regardless 😉
Every pregnancy is a miracle
True ey.
You are absolutely right; very true!

Thank heavens for everyone who has contributed to the knowledge to be ABLE to save such premature babies!🙏❤️
Wishing these babies all the best.
My son was born at 25wks, weighed 1.5lbs, emergency c section and in the NICU for 3mos. We went thru the rollercoaster of it all! He is now a 6’2” 185lb 27yr old!

I had prom (small hole in my amniotic bag) at 25 weeks. I laid in the hospital for 5 weeks. I went into labor from a infection they were expecting to happen right away. He was in the nicu 73 days. It’s the worst roller coaster ride I’ve ever been on. He will be 15 in 3 weeks.
This had me 😭! So happy they made the it to the 22 wk mark and survived! Congratulations!

Dad want to move them to larger hospital, mom’s mother “ Dr X has cared for mom her entire life he knows what he’s doing” the feeding tube missed the stomach hit their lungs. One died, funeral shock, a week later the 2nd one died. My father never forgave himself. It is incredible that these babies went home.
When I saw the babies after their birth I was amazed at how tiny, delicate and perfectly formed they were. I started smiling once it seemed they were going to make it, and continued until the end of the video. Congratulations 🎉
I was born at 23 weeks back in 1992. My twin sister didn’t make it and I hadn’t lots of health problems but I’m 31 this year. This is amazing
What a very happy video. These babies took my heart away. Mom and dad helped too. God bless and keep this little precious family.

So terribly sad that one baby was lost but so thankful that one made it 🙏🏻
impossible babies that premature have no cry.....just as they have no suck reflex
