5.7 R/T Charger here. I deleted the mids for $170 and couldn't be happier. I was looking at getting a full cat back from Borla and it was going to be around 1,400 for what I wanted. Decided to just do the delete first and really feel like I made the right choice. Everyone who hears the cold start or hears me get on it kind of giggles excitedly and I save around $1,200. That's a win in my book.
Clifford Scott there is a little at while cruising around 65-70 but if you use the paddles and shut the MDS off it goes away. Just driving around town it sounds great. I also left the resonators on the back because everything I read and heard said the drone is unbearable if you take those off alone with the mids.
I believe you can raise the park rev limiter with tuning. I hate the park rev limit. You can also tune for more crackles and pops by changing the decel fuel cut off.
This is the only modification needed for my 2018 Charger Scat Pack. My 05 Ram SRT 10 has been straight piped for years. I love the sound. Great video. Stay up, stay live, stay tuned bro!

I did the exact same thing to my 2015 scat pack last summer....then supercharged it which gives it a touch more aggressive tone. way better exhaust mod than dropping cash for a cat back like I did on my old challenger
Ive been in one with same exhaust setup, I don't know how it is when it's stock, but when the windows are up and you are going full throttle, it's loud but won't hurt your ears.
I noticed the loudness of the pops depends on the what gas you're using. When I would put 91% it was okay, but when I put 100% of the shell racing fuel it was a BEAST

I prefer a more traditional "old-school" setup which is with straight-through mid-mufflers (Magnaflow, glasspacks, etc.) and NO resonators. Those large chambered and baffled resonators restrict the exhaust flow and have that annoying hollow-metal-can sound that Flowmaster mufflers have. "Drone" wasn't a word we used back in the day. It's all just a part of your exhaust sound. My first car was a '71 Firebird and it had true dual exhaust (no X-pipe or H-pipe), Hooker headers, no cats, no resonators, and CherryBomb glasspacks. It was loud and sounded great.

Mufflers and resonators are in different spots on different cars. On my 5.0 mustang my resonators are in the middle of car my mufflers are in the back of the car by the tips.

yoandy Yera no we don't do TH-cam, we got both of them removed at the same time, the resonator and the muffler, if you're scared of doing it yourself then take it to a mechanic it's not that expensive

You're not gonna get all that of a difference in sound. It will sound like stock, but just a bit louder. Not worth it though in my opinion. You should probably go with magnaflows along with resonator deletes. Sounds decently better. Not much drone either really.

hey man i was thinking about muffler deleting both mufflers on my 2004 ram 1500. some people are telling me if i do it my truck will have issues with the engine such as a back pressure and loss of power. on the other hand i did some research and people say the only thing you gain is a louder noise which is what im shooting for. any input on this?
It's interesting that you recommend leaving the resonators but removing the mufflers. I had a 2012 Mustang GT, and found that doing the opposite worked better for minimizing drone and getting the best tone (resonator delete and GT500 mufflers). Perhaps it's different for every make and model.
Sounds good. But your mic was distorting a lot. Maybe invest in a better mic, or adjust the Input levels. Sounds like it may even just be turned up too much on the input. I'm probably wrong and just being super picky lol.

Swole Stewie if u gey rid of any restricted air flow your cars MPG will go up. The best thing to make sure you don't lose any is to get it retuned after the exhaust work is done.
I deleted the back reso's and there is hardly any drone. I'd say if stock is 0, the reso delete is about a 2-3 on a 0-10 scale on the freeway about 75 mph. MDS doesn't make it better or worse in my opinion. But I don't like the back reso deletes as much as when I had the mid mufflers replaced with dynomax bullets, and stock resonators. Will be going back to that.
I know you said the problem area is 80 (ish) mph with MDS on. Do you have any issues with MDS at any other speeds? I have a '15 5.7 Challenger with cutouts and the MDS sounds like shit at any speed. I plan to get a 6.4 Charger and want to make sure it sounds better.

Try revving up to about 2k rpm or 19-20 mph in second gear. The pops are way louder and last longer.
does you cutting out the Mufflers have any problems with the computer having a code show up and it does it affect the active exhaust
