Thanks bro, I wanted to tell you yesterday I finally got my R/T!!!! My first nice car ever, and after I did some research I’m gonna do the mid-muff delete, and your video was probably one of the biggest reasons why! You put a lot of actual audio clips and didn’t waste time trying to be anything but genuine, thanks again!!!
You definitely got the best video from all these guys on removal of mid Mufflers thanks for the great information I'm taking my meds off 392 Hemi Scat Pack shaker hood baby
I had a ‘15 RT 6MT and I deleted the resonators and it was loud and deep. I recked it a few years back and replaced it with a ‘15 Scat 6MT. To me, the 5.7’s sound better than the 6.4’s I don’t know what it is, but I enjoy everything about the car, I just don’t think it sounds as good as the RT I had. If my Scat sounded like it does all the time from a cold start I’d be happy LOL.
The microphone one whatever device he is using to make this video do the mid muffler delete no justice. I have heard the exact same thing done to the exact same year ScatPack before and it truly does sound beautiful. It's a deep tone with just enough rasp to not sound over the top yet loud enough to get some looks.
Guess I'm gonna have to look into a cat back system because I'm not willing to exchange that awesome sounding tone for loud rasp. I think the stock sounds amazing. It's just too quiet. If I could keep the same tone but amplify it, I'd be super happy.
Then keep the resonator and delete the muffler. The muffler (what the author is keeping) just tones down the volume. The resonator (what looks like a suitcase in the middle) changes the sound if deleted. Both makes it louder if removed however
I know I want a mid muffler delete and appreciate the efforts you went thru to show all the different sound scenarios. I see you have an SRT or is it just badging? My questions are, how does this affect adaptive exhaust and does anyone know how it affects the warranty?
Bob Matthews thanks for watching! No this is not an SRT it’s a scat pack, the badge on the back says “SRT powered”. The active exhaust isn’t changed by the mid muffler delete, still opens up under acceleration. To my knowledge, this does not affect the warranty unless it directly caused the issue.
I have a 2022 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack finished in Smoke Show Gray with Red Calipers and with a Sunroof. I got it in 2022 brand new, and it's going on 2 years now, and im still nervous about doing the Mid muffler delete. I hear good things all the time about the delete. But I'm not sure why I haven't done it yet. I feel like my car is too quiet unless I get on it with the windows down, or im under a bridge or in a tunnel. Also, I don't think Mid Muffler Deletes cost 100 dollars anymore, lol. I think the price went up another 100 dollars. Grrrrrr, smh.

@@KCars They are both great performance cars, the Challenger Scat Pack looked so cool and retro especially with the Shaker, it also cornered surprisingly well for such a big car. The GT350 is a sports car as it's size and weight you feel immediately. The lighter GT350 and that Flat Plane Crank sound was hard to resist.
Awesome, you won’t regret it! It felt amazing the first time I drove it, very smooth. I couldn’t really do much because of the break in period but it was still awesome! Thanks for watching!

Great 👍🏾 video bro, I have a flowmaster fx catback exhaust but I’m thinking about doing a mid muffler delete. I just want it a little louder you think that would be a good idea? If anything is I don’t like it they can put the mufflers back on.
Thats funny. I did go and get a corsa extreme exhaust and it came with a resonator for the middle and mufflers for the ends, too quiet so i removed the resonators and kept mufflers on and now its nice and loud with tone and rasp when you floor it. I want to hear how it sounds with just resonators and no mufflers now, i miss having some sound inside the car and probably will still be loud without mufflers. I gotta try it
I’m considering replacing the mid mufflers on my 2020 Challenger R/T with Vibrant 1794 resonators. I’m told (by some) that this will amplify the exhaust somewhat, and accentuate the deep, throaty V8 sound. That’s exactly what I want to do. I’m also told (by others) that replacing the mid mufflers with resonators won’t change the sound much, if at all. What’s your opinion? Are the Vibrant 1794 resonators good for increasing the deepest sounds of the Hemi, or is that only brought out through a complete deletion mid-pipes?
I personally haven’t changed out the mid mufflers with different ones, I just did the mid muffler delete. Getting the aftermarket mufflers will probably cause it to be a little less raspy as opposed to just deleting the mid mufflers and replacing with straight pipe, if that’s what you’re looking for
@@KCars I want to avoid the ear-splitting rasp on hard acceleration. Think of the exhaust sound I’m after as turning up the bass and reducing the treble on the car stereo. Your friend’s blue, straight-piped Challenger sounds incredibly good on the video, but I can tell it’s loud enough to bulldoze buildings with sound alone! On the other hand, your Challenger with the mid mufflers delete and rear resonators retained doesn’t sound as loud as I thought that setup would be (but I’m not there in person to hear it). My immediate concern with this modification is my neighbors; I live in an apartment building with a parking lot that is a real echo chamber. Any noise echoes between the building and a concrete retaining wall, and I leave for work in my Challenger every morning at 4:00 AM. A car with a particularly loud exhaust mod isn’t going to be appreciated much.
If you don’t like the raspy sound then I wouldn’t do the mid muffler delete. I’d probably get an aftermarket catback or just aftermarket mufflers like you were saying. Not sure about the neighbors though lol they will be mad no matter what 😂

Can you type out your friends set up?
I believe he had long tube headers, catless midpipes, mid muffler delete, resonator delete, procharger, supporting mods
How much gas mileage drop did u experience?
0
Damn that blue SRT sounds beastly!
Damn I can't wait for a scatpack, I'm gonna drive that fckr upside down
It sure does, be careful with that thing lol
Do people really put two steps on challengers?
Yes
Does this void warranty?
No. Unless it caused the issue that you are trying to get warranty work for
@@KCars thank you.
No problem
I did mid muffler delete on 2021 wide body scat and got P0440 code wtf
They might have not welded all the way around when they put the straight pipe in
@@KCars that might be the problem
I would like to get my dodge quieter. Does someone know what I could do?
Get resonators that are quiet
The pro charger challenger doesn’t sound good at all he fucked his up lmao
MMD is the best $100 I’ve ever spent!
Glad to hear it!
I deleted mid mufflers in srt 392 but sound is not same as yours:/
Interesting
@@KCars worst not as good as yours

@@KCars lol better i do straight pipes then😂
@@KCars as mentioned in video resonators are stock just deleted middle mufflers🤷🏻♂️
Just no better sound than that
Dustin Atkins it definitely sounds pretty good, thanks for watching!
Will it pass smog?
I’m not familiar with smog tests but I think as long as it has cats it will
Where in WV is this video ?
Morgantown
I think yours sounds better than the straight piped one.
Thanks!
I paid $190 for my muffler Delete is that too much ? Or is that what it normally goes for !!
I think usually around $100 is a good price
Here in Destin FL it's between 150-200
200 in ny
Challengers are the only muscle cars that look the part.
💯🇺🇸💪

AskandiiPvP yes
KCars gotcha was curious does it have the dual exhaust mode since it’s a shaker or no?
Yes it has the active exhaust but all the scat packs have that feature it’s not only on the shaker
KCars ahh ok thanks my man thinking about getting a scat Charger soon love the shaker btw
AskandiiPvP that’ll be an awesome car, thanks!
If anyone could help with this problem I would be glad. (will send you $20 cash app if you help find a solution) My 05 Chrysler 300c modded. Keeps chewing the driveshaft coupler. I've replaced them 2 times so far with new ones. I looked for built ones online but they don't sell any anymore. Anyone know a solution.
Also Amazing content like always dude!
I’m not sure unfortunately, I’d try asking in a Facebook group maybe. Thanks!
@@KCars I just did thanks, I don't use alot of social media but definitely FB should come in hand
@@HemiLyfestyle Reddit is also a really good place for questions!
@@HemiLyfestyle The coupler between the engine/driveshaft??are your rear tires a bigger size than the front?
