He was arrested Oct 14 2020. He has been refused the right to be seen by visitors and no access to a lawyer. There are genuine fears for his personal safety as no one knows what's happening to him. I pray for his safety and the safety of all the protesters who have also been arrested.

I heard in media report that he has already appeared before a court in Chiang Mai. Whether it was a bail hearing or not I am not sure but he is still in jail.

@Da Phetdala I don’t believe garbage from China or my country USA. One thing for sure is that Mao won the civil war in 1949. Thailand is next. Just like Thaksin another Billionare Thanathorn (with Chinese roots) is trying to be the first President of Thailand with backing from USA. It is not about domcracy but more of anti-China. No students in right mind got guts to do this without backing from powerful nation. Another copy of Hong Kong.

    • @Republicunt5555

@Da Phetdala That's what liberals are always saying but that is not happening. Marxists always gatecrash liberals' protests and make alliance with them. Then Marxists will push their agendas. Libs have always welcomed them as both of them use the word democracy. It's been happening all over.

The love of the Thai People for their King is really admirable. The Thai Monarch has also done really good things for the people. The Previous King who just passed away recently has done an Exemplary performance for the people that I would say no other monarch in the world has.
His son who has just ascended the throne recently has not outperformed his father yet. Perhaps we should in all fairness give him a chance.

Maybe you should also ask the prime minister how on Earth is he still a prime minister when he didn't even recite his oath properly as the constitution dictates, just omitting anything he pleased and pretend that's perfectly OK to assume office without ever citing the oath properly.

We have the police & military which won't be hesitate to shoot any citizen down & dead
if that help protect & retain the power of the monarchy or the government.
It's obvious that in developed and civilized countries, those officers will protect & serve the people.
They will side with majority not the authority who take the people as enemies. And that how it should be.

The king and his family in Thailand are the most important problems in the country.
      Why?
      1. Take the tax payer money to refer to the project But set up more than 30 companies for their own family
      2. Killing, imprisonment for those whose opinions do not match the king's side.
      3. The government gives tax payer money to the royal family billions of baht a year.
      4. For Tax payer money, the military government or the royal government It will take on projects with the rich who are on the same side.
      5. Very little of Tax payer money was spent on education and livelihoods in the country, and much of the Tax payer money was spent on the extravagance of the dictatorial government and the royal family.
This is only part of the badness of the monarchy in Thailand.

No mass army if no soldiers carrying the orders.

With or without the king, they will find others to blame for their failure.. What have they done for their country? Blaming and complaining or making troubles, destroying those bring success to the country... Do you think everything will be fine after this.... They will find other thingd to complain.

Hahaha, maybe I am just being ignorant and arrogant enough to say something🌞🤔🌞. Please don't mind me 🌞😄🌞
But I think the problem is not about having a monarchy or not. The problem is if you think there's an imbalance between the monarchy and the rest in the system, then you IMPROVE THE WHOLE SYSTEM, rather than targeting the monarchy only. Think about that, if you successfully targeted the monarchy and it got substituted by some other ENTITY, whatever it is, visible or invisible, it would be operating the same just without the name of monarchy. So you fight in vain and get the even worse. Ehnn, not worth it.
Also, for the monarchy part, I feel like the rituals and mind state from the limited media I can see is pretty out dated and more like adults playing children's play-like in modern day from the point of human history. So, grow up. The rest of it I don't see much problem of the monarchy itself. Work on the whole system, not just simply targeting the monarchy. And for the sake of human decency and dignity, be a grown-up monarchy. Throw away the ancient primitive attitudes of being superior or premier. The real being superior or premier is you lift your people, and lift each other, together you get better and maximize the gain. So, please stop adults' playing believe, playing grown-up, BUT BE A GROWN-UP. Excuse me for my boldness, please don't mind 🌞😄🌞

You are technically not wrong, but the news left out some of the details. The protesters indeed try to reform the whole system that includes the military government, constitution, and the monarchy. The rituals are not the issue here and they are Thai's tradition. The reason that seem like they target the monarchy because as it stands he has the power over the government. So get rid of PM won't really change anything. So yes, they try to reform that entity.

Police in the US are beating up on minority.Racism is running high and COVID-19 cases are skyrocketing in the US. 🤟Within a gentle reminder, after the world war ll, Thailand nation are poor and the monarchy are broke. An elder holy monk came by the palace, and conveys that he was guided by the buddha. To locate the ancestor wealth and treasure. Eventually they got it. And now..to Thailand with love.
Hence, Thai monarchy wealth are not from the tax payer money. Tax payer money, providing good cause to governor are digest for education, security, peace and safety nets for the community.
Within the monarchy heritage assets:- multi-billions are funded for agricultural, reservoir, roads and industrialization. Mythically amply with neighbour country, not to elaborate.
