- This tutorial explains the difference between right and left Single Bevel Broadheads, and their relationship with the arrow's fletching.
For the best flight and arrow penetration when bow hunting, make sure to use left single bevel broadheads if your fletching rotates your arrow counterclockwise when viewed from the back. If your arrow's fletching creates a right rotation (or clockwise rotation when viewed from the back), choose right single bevel broadheads.

I didn’t even check my arrows, I just guessed and picked Right Bevel 😂. Must’ve been correct because I just killed my first archery buck this past Friday. I received your broadheads in the mail right before I left for VA to hunt some family property. I got them out of the mailbox. Shot one to make sure it was shooting true. Drove 4 hrs to VA. Went to the blind. And killed a small buck within 5 minutes of sitting in the blind. So within about 4 and a half hours of receiving your broadheads, I had a buck on the ground. Complete pass through, and he didn’t go but 20-30 yards before dropping. Great broadhead that I will be using for a long long time
What are your thoughts on the S series compared to single bevel? is there ever a reason to go without a single bevel now, or is the single bevel categorically better?

I shoot a Mathew’s V3X 29 I shoot lefty and my fletchings are straight which side should I be shooting the bevel on the left or right???
Does it matter if fletching rotation and broadhead bevel are used on traditional bows - rather, are they as effective as on compound bows? And, does arrow rotation assist with flight and accuracy?

I have all my arrows fletched right offset but I discovered by bare shaft walk back that my bow naturally turns the arrows left. Gonna order a left helical jig and re fletch my arrows left helical.
^ THIS! This is something that is commonly missed (such as how it's not mentioned in this video). While it's important to match your fletching/broadhead rotation, you also need to match both of those to the natural rotation of your arrow which is determined by the direction that your string is twisted. As Michael mentioned you can determine your natural rotation by shooting a bareshaft very close to a target. Mark the shaft wit ha sharpie and shoot, then see where the sharpie mark moved to and you'll determine which direction your arrow wants to naturally rotate. Then match your fletching and broadhead rotation to that and you'll have a VERY stable arrow.
its important to note that people often get hung up on bareshaft tuning etc. firstly, bareshaft is somewhat useless as no one shoots animals with a bareshaft, so a bareshaft tune is not indicative of how your actual hunting set up will be. it is also important to note that many people overlook the reason for their bareshaft/papertunes being out due to poor form and hand positioning etc. I have worked in a bow shop for a few years now, and it is remarkable how many people get hung up on paper tuning, and start moving their rest and sight around, and neglecting to fix their poor form which is the root cause of the problem. not trying to be a troll but just throwing it out there. good luck.

@@masonvoll6288 bareshaft tuning is about which way the arrow is angled when I hangs out of the target. I'm not talking about that. I'm only talking about the arrows rotation which comes from the direction the string is twisted. It's just easier to see that rotation with a bareshaft is all.

Straight will work for either right or left, but we recommend using right or left helical vanes for the best broadhead flight.
