PD injector nozzle diy how to????

- today i thought i would attempt a PD injector nozzle "swap" on a scrap set of bew injectors... didn't go to plan no big deal but hopefully this helps others see and know what they are getting themselves into if they are thinking about attempting this.
video showing it is possible.... but beware of the risks.

Having personally done this successfully, there needs to be a substantial amount of pressure applied to the nozzles. 400-600bs of force.
What was the method you used to do this?
Well theoretically if the 2 small pins is the only damage that occurs in that process buy new ones and replace the broken ones plus the nozzel and you are good to go

What is the problem to replace locating pins? I buy 2mm and 1.5mm stainless steel welding rods and just spin the in the drill to "good enough" diameter. Will try to make a video soon.

Clear carbon with heating, because nozzle is bad you can heat with fire. Works good
In our repaircentre we use 1000kg force in nozzle axis to avoid nozzle turning and breaking the pins. Well, this inline force doesn't seem to be that much, but it may work in some cases...and in some not. Oh, the wrong expression. Force is not in kilograms. So we use exactly 9500N.
Hello, what can make these injectors out of calibration ?
Do you install Firad nozzle and do you have a flow chart of these injectors thanks

Would you recommend getting a 2004 golf with the BEW it has ran over 300k miles, the body is pretty good but I'm concerned about the injectors being on their way out. Any suggestions on it?
I personally would have no issues buying it for the right price
I’ve had a couple bew with 300k ish kms and was more then happy with them
@@ERAutomotive ok sounds good, I don't mind replacing the camshaft if it's worn out, but I also heard you can fit brm injectors on the bew as long as you replace all of them
Yes I can but that won’t give u any gains
If u want or are doing it
I’d recommend getting bhw injectors as they would be a slight upgrade from the bew injectors
And with proper tuning you would see some decent gains in power

I use a vise and a nut on the injector tip to protect it. Clamp the vise pretty hard to prevent pins breaking.

Defo not try it at home haha ya have to compress them to stop the pins breaking inside and need to be done in a clean environment also

If you clean the carbon off and break the mechanical bond to the tip you can open them

No. Even clean and lubricated they will still shear off. Need tip pressure.
Anyone could make a simple hydraulic press from a jack, or buy a cheap chinese "harbor freight-class" one.
$600 each...
