We have been doing a lot of involuntary driveway grading down here in western mass. I think I removed at least $100 in gravel from most driveways. Not to mention the fact i got my truck stuck a few time and gave up and just used my little wheel loader.
In MI (#1) when we get a big snow you have to know when to turn 45 degrees and dump off your load. Then back up and go straight another 200’ or whatever and do it again. Then back your truck up in the snow (it will make it) and push down hill. There I saved you a trans. At least a little longer.
Bet your ready to start digging again, I dig down here and it never froze up, so I took a break and came up to ski okemo for a couple days…back too work now.
It's a good thing you don't live in Colrain Massachusetts they got 3 feet of snow. Now that I see how wet and heavy that snow is I'm sure happy where I'm at was pouring rain
Did you had heavy duty springs in the 2023 ram 3500 or are you running the stock ones? If your running stock is there a lot of sag with the plow? I was thinking of putting my 9’ extreme V on my2023 3500 it’s the exact same one as yours. Wasn’t sure if it would be worth the money to add heavier springs in the front.
I’ve been running them since 2017 now. No issues with 4500 and up with the heavier duty running gear. I’ll never work a truck smaller than a 4500 again, regardless of brand
I don’t get why a buisness would have a plow liek this when you can have a. 9.5’ v plow and never have to chase your tails. Your constantly plowing and going back and plowing windrow with that crappy fisher.. it makes no sense.. I’ve been plowing commercially for 21 years and after getting a plow like this once and learning they suck I would never not have a v plow again. Cuts my Time plowing by 20-30% and that puts more money in your pocket
You would have to read the comment to understand what was going on that day. That is an XLS with expanding wings. Not usually used on that truck for those types of driveways. The rest of our fleet is v plows so I agree with you
you want 60 bucks for few minutes plow? and you're talking like making people favor? it looks more robbery. so, why ,do you do it if you hate it all soo much?
It’s not worth going to a house with a truck that now costs $90k, a plow that now costs $10k, and a sander that now costs $9,500 to come save someone 4 hours of shoveling for $30.

Yes and we drop them down until things freeze. Then we take them off

I run Timbren bump stops on anything below 4500

Whats your take on running a aggressive super single on the rear vs a dual I've heard 50 50 on it?
I personally don’t want to plow with a super wide tire. I don’t tend to want to float when plowing.

All brands of trucks take a beatin plowing snow, every year they will need front end work ujoints
