This will be the first year of me owning a plow. I picked up a box sport duty poly plow for my half ton Chevy. Got a screening deal on it 2300 with brackets and wiring. I used to use my sxs but the engine went on that last January. Wish me luck
That was one heck of a day. Started out in the cities at 45 degrees and went to Iowa storm chasing where it was 73 degrees. Caught some good footage of those tornadoes that day. Decided to make my way back up to the cities and was in rain in Iowa at 65 degrees and by the time I hit South Saint Paul...it was 30 degrees and huge snowflakes. I live up in Saint Michael and as I made back there from SSP...it just got worse and worse. Power surges and trees breaking all the way home. Also a bunch of stuck cars. Remember waking up the morning of April 1 (was not a good April Fools Joke) and thinking it didn't snow that much...until I opened the garage and met 18 inches of wet snow. By that afternoon though, buddies and I were in sweatshirts and jeans sitting in Saint Louis Park at a truck meet and couldn't tell it even snowed that day.
I remember that storm. The roads were terrible. Mndot left 3 foot tall walls of snow in the middle of 494. Cars tried going through them to get off on their exits and people were getting stuck everywhere. Mufflers and bumpers were all over the place.
Over the last week we got hit twice with 2, 2-foot snowstorms. Snowplow wasn't working right, then my fuel jelled. Now the temps are dropping to around zero.
Is this from the April 1st 2023 snow storm? That one was a Friday night/ Saturday morning storm that brought things to a halt. Cars stuck everywhere and a semi in the ditch on highway 36 in Stillwater. I stopped to help several people and gave one lady a 2 mile ride home.
Tricked everyone into thinking it was this winter lol but let’s see some winter prep videos of everything I wanna see it all from prep to first trigger. Love the winter videos most it’s where it got me subscribed and watched it first time going to plow in a skid when I was 21 , 25 now. Now my own subcontractor in my town truck
Lot more snow than up here in Canada.. I finally had to pay for and install a new set of snow tires this week so that guarantees us no snow till at least the end of the month.
I remember my shift at the airport. I had a mandatory 16 hour shift and working the day after the storm with none of the ramp plowed on certain gates was horrible. Flights were delayed like crazy due to that. Im kinda glad I got steel bumpers on my tacoma now front and back.

My Dad lived in Northern Mn on a Lake. The neighbor shot his lab because it was on his property. When my Dad found his dog hiding under his bed after she had got shot, he left a message on the guys voicemail saying what most of us would say if our Dog had got shot. Let’s just say the Sherif arrived to my Dads House 15 minutes later and said Sir you can’t leave threatening messages!
