PTs and Doctors can’t give me a proper diagnosis, but this guy can. This is my exact problem and has been affecting my facial structure but more shockingly all the muscles on the left side of my body
This is extremely accurate. After mewing correctly for a few weeks, I noticed changes in my jaw however it was mostly in the left haw. My right jaw and right cheek were lower rounder and chubbier. The issue can be traced back to my lower right back being weaker which caused links to my right side of the tongue being weaker. Which meant that when I mewed, or swallowed. The right side wouldn’t have proper force on the maxilla. And when swallowing, since the tongue strength hadn’t been developed, I was using my cheeks to swallow resulting in a chubbier cheek. It is all related but now Im glad to know that its adjustable and possible to change. My left side looks better and sharper and the cheek is hollowing out.
I always have this thoughts about 'our body all is connected' so the facial asymmetry can be traced deeper ro other parts of the body, its being validated thank you
Absolutely true. A weak tongue on one side will tilt your jaw/face which will tilt you head and neck which will cause issues in your upper back which will cause issues in your low back/hips and down to your knee and foot. It’s scary how something that’s off by a tiny, tiny amount will throw your entire body off. It’s why I predominantly train unilateral exercises when I work out and try to even out any imbalances from one side to the other.
makes sense why ppl even those who seem to have good facial structure well past their childhood into adult hood can “suddenly” have asymmetry due to damage or pain to the body after a car accident or simply falling, sleeping wrong, a fight, bad habits etc i’ve also noticed this in ppl who had to get surgery on their deviated septums in adulthood. i’m very grateful for being a natural nose breather but even still i have slight asymmetry that i can hopefully correct with proper posture, stretches and excercises

Thx, this helps, my left side is indeed the weaker side and I've been mewing for 6 years. I thought I had good development until I saw my left side one day T_T. I've always looked at my right side when looking in the mirror and I ignore my left side completely, though I knew I had clicking. In a way, mewing worsened my asymmetry by bringing my right side forward and my left side only a little bit.
So I have a lot of information on this. Long story short I’ve seen multiple jaw surgeons and orthodontists around the country the last couple years. I have a lower left eye, right side maxilla is longer. Left condyle is much more resorbed (has disappeared) than my right condyle. I had double jaw surgery a month ago, and was brought forward 3 mm on the maxilla, 9mm on the mandible. To fix my canted maxilla, only my right side was impacted. I now am leaving jaw surgery with my top and bottom midline’s off to the right. Surgeon says he doesn’t know why since I was brought to the left. The midline looks better when I tilt my head to try and get my left eye more even with the height of my right eye. I also have a right focal sigmoid sinus plate dehiscence - so I’m missing inner ear bone in my right side. My right ramus is shorter, left is longer. Surgeon wants to do another surgery in 4 months if things don’t settle properly. It would only be upper jaw surgery. I’m desperately trying to find ways to help my midline and tilting before then so I don’t have to undergo surgery again. Any insight would be appreciated.
This is so accurate. My left side maxilla is smaller, more narrow and less forward. I thought braces could fix it. When I mew, the left side of my tongue touches my molars. This also explains why I have a clicking left jaw. Not to mention that I don't really prefer my left side profile because it looks really different from my right side. Huhu
You've given a good description of the problem, but I'm not convinced that your solution works. For example doing exercises to balance the head, neck, and shoulders is claimed by you to allow a person to expand one side of their maxilla by putting more even pressure with their tongue. But I have not seen any proof of this happening in adults without a surgical or semi-surgical (MSE) approach. People go through MSE procedure just to grow the size of their midface and even this is not good at selectively expanding one side only. Where is the proof that the adult maxilla can grow from mewing alone?

On the side that my jaw is better developed (right side) my cheekbone is less forward and lower causing my right eye to have a negative tilt . I dont know if the development is because of better muscle development on the right side or because the right side of my tongue is stronger. But it wouldn’t make sense bcuz my right cheekbone is lower… I dont know id i should try fixing my mewing so its strong in both sides or any other stuff… any help would be awesome ❤
Try this: Get in front of a mirror. Close your eyes. Look up and down and move your head around. Do not open your eyes. Stand and relax with your eyes closed for 10 seconds. Now open your eyes. Notice if your head is slightly tilted to one side or the other. That chronic tilt is the source of the facial assymetry.

Thanks for sharing I thought I was on my own boat, also share similar symptoms and had worse. How do i know which side is my less developed. On the left side my masseter muscle and cheekbone meets (cheekbone is more developed) but on the right side masseter muscle and cheekbone doesnt join. The left side sa kinda short while the right is bigger. Although i think i have an mandibular asymmetry because my teeth are asymmetric and look more visible on one side while smiling which make them so awkward .....I dont know how can i fix it .. If anyone know please help me out
I have exactly these issues uneven jaw, shoulder and pelvis and my life is hard my whole body is imbalanced
Thank you.

Hello .. i wanted to ask you while doing mewing i can feel that my palate is uneven and my tongue exerts more pressure on one side (comfortable side) .. i have tmj disorder so do i need surgery to correct my uneven maxilla or will tmj correction help in this case. ?
On the side that my jaw is better developed (right side) my cheekbone is less forward and lower causing my right eye to have a negative tilt . But when I swallow i feel the back of my tongue more on the right side of my pallet. I dont know if the development is because of better muscle development on the right side or because the right side of my tongue is stronger. But it wouldn’t make sense bcuz my right cheekbone is lower…
I dont know id i should try fixing my mewing so its strong in both sides or any other stuff… any help would be awesome ❤
5:11 I'm the exact person you described. My left side is better developed. My palate is lower on the right side. This means my head and neck are tilted which way?
What exactly is the better side the One that is smaller or the big half of the Face?
One that more developed a better jawline
Bro some say that if u have more muscles on a side of the jaw than the other your jaw will go to that side
I have uneven face 😂 my right side is majestic upper eye sharp jaw even a good skin with no smile line but my left side is the opposite the jaw is strong but not sharp the eye is down and the skin is saggy the problem is i used to chew a lot on the left side
The eyebrow on the right side is higher and in a great shape but the right side is lower
1:26 those before-after pictures mean nothing. Lightning is different for left and right in the before picture and it is same for both sides in the after picture. Playing with light like that is deceptive and I distrust people who do those tricks.
The “join now” button in you website in the description doesn’t work. How do I reach out to you?
My right maxila is less hollow and I noticed it yesterday it had to do with sleeping on my left while mewing. Also my tongue is stronger on my left then right
i broke my collarbone a couple of years ago, and it is now it's shorter than the none broken one, so im limited on how i can move my arm. could this cause asymetry, and how would i fix it?
What type of clinician would you go to for an assessment?
This is exactly my problem. Head to toe
Can you do a video on how to reduce the mid face lenght please?
What do you think about those jaw stretching exercises that are promoted in popular videos here on YT? Are they legit?
How can I book that free call so I know what the problem is exactly
I had braces some 20 years ago and the orthodontist placed an external apparatus that was inserted in my and extended to my neck. Since then I have noticed I have developed asymmetry in my face, a bloated abdomen then lower back pain. Is there any solution or hope for this problem?
whenever i do suction mewing with my teeth together, my tongue always gets pulled in between my teeth and it causes cuts 😭😭😭 especially because i have braces.. is there something you recommend to stop this?
Same problem my toungue gets cut, ( i don't hav braces tho )
wait for the braces to go off. If the reason you have braces is overbite, then do not mew as it will interfere with the progress of yor teeth restructurring. braces will automatically fix your asymetrical jaw
@@Weapon1zeD wow thank you! i do have an overbite... however i have been mewing since then, and im not sure how to wait, since i do it absent mindedly nowww
thanks though
😁
@@Weapon1zeD also there's a bump on the right side of roof of my mouth, because i was not pushing on it when i swallow... and ive been pushing up on it, which is what improved my worse side... do i keep doing so?
no problem! even i have an overbite and my dentist suggests me to wait for the braces to do its thing @@thesalvador.
When. I was 13 year I under went an accident on my left leg and due to that now my left leg is longer about 2-3cm how can I overcome this also my left shoulder is slightly higher than the right
Hai please help
when i look myself in the mirror my face looks fine but when i take photos i look worse my smile is getting bad.
my face is small . I cant even talk properly cause of my face expression .
can i get a soulution for that
hi, i have the same problem (only not as severe) of looking worse in photos... and before i can help you- do you have braces by any chance? and if so, for what reason? stay on the grind bro you'll get through this. i came to this video shocked three months ago. now my problem has improved a lot (i look more even in photos) but now i know that i just need my braces to fix my asymmetrical jaw, and then i can continue mewing afer that. im hoping i can help you sooner 😄
thanks bud
yea i am using braces for a past few months and its getting ok but idk where to start cause idk what should i do to get ok from this.
@@rv_26 maybe just keep mewing while you wait for your teeth to be corrected
My palate in low... few space for my toungue, which is swollen... 😢😢😢
The real question is, let's say in early 20s how long does it take to fix tilted teeth for example?
i wish i know mewing since i was a kids, i was a mouth breather, it cause many change of my jawline structure in highschool, and then i do bracelet my doctor took my 4 of my premolar from the bottom and upper teeth, he thought i had smaller jawline, but the thing is it bcuz i was mouth breather, it cause many damage of my face look, i had recessive jawline after premolar extraction, many years made me so insecure, i do mandibular jawline surgery for breathing problem, but not change much for my facial structure, so then i do mewing for my own good. now i'm 29yo, it takes a bit long, i need to do it more i guess, but i have a small changes at least
My problem is Ive never had any asymmetry issues in my life that is till 3 years ago when I smile one side of my cheek is higher making it look like my smile is weird! Again i have perfect teeth straight and never experienced such issues. I am overweight so I’m currently working on that and also not sure if sleeping on one side of my face always is creating an issue for me. Any advice??
Can you still do all of these excersises and make improvement if you have scoliosis? (i have moderate idiopathic scoliosis)
Can we fix asymmetry caused by uneven mewing by exercises ??
Can someone tell me what can i do,my one cheekbone is very prominent and visible outward +forwrd, and the other isn’t visible and that side is flat and no forward growth.
Are there any like pay in certain amount of time? Over duration of few months maybe I take care of my family on minimum wage in third world country so if it’s possible to pay in segments overtime I’d really appreciate it
Does mewing have a lot of benefit?
May I know if Hisdream youtube facial exercise does really work?
My right maxilla is uneven - down on right side A lot of vids here but don't know where to start first
I have clicking on both sides. What's the cause of that, please?
What exercises should I do to fix forward head posture?
He made a separate vid on that
I still can’t tell which side is the less dominant side bc my right side is the side where my eye is higher up than my left eye and I’m still confused
In my case my left half is bigger then my right half - so i will never get symmetrie - i also see different colours on one eye then on the other. 😞
What do you think of the MCB appliance by Dr Jinhaeng Lee?
My maxilla is developed well, but it's slanted which causes my jaw to be slanted as well, do I have to do bimax surgery to fix this?
sameee, I only noticed this after looking at pictures people took of me, I thought my teeth were straight but they are leaning to one side. What did you do or find out what needs to be done?
@@script23 I think only thing that can be done is double jaw surgery, they can move the maxilla to be alligned correctly, you can check with orthodontist.
How can I test if the back of my tongue has trouble going up on one side?
i have this, maxilla pretty much flat on my left side (worse side) and forward on my right, i have scoliosis too which explains it or is caused by it, wasn't diagnosed with scoliosis until 13. just asking, does anyone else have thinner/more brittle hair on their left side of their body? my eyelashes, scalp hair, and eyebrows are all noticeably thinner and weaker. i suspect due to less blood flow. my left knee also plays up, left shoulder always feels imbalanced and i can literally touch both sides of my face, and feel that the bones are less dense on my left side.
Thanks for sharing I thought I was on my own boat, also share similar symptoms and had worse. I myself have scoliosis and can gladly say after 3 years of mewing that I won’t have to live with it forever. So definitely give it a go, because I didn’t see how it would work but my stubbornness made me find out 😂
@@amarestudanpmire3302you fixed scoliosis with just mewing?
Same but for the right side with flat right side of maxilla. Right shoulder is stiff since childhood, beard is less dense on right cheek and the hair is thinner on the right temple. My right biceps is always 1-1,5cm less. My weak knee is left however. But the feet arch is collapsed on the right leg.
It's just freakening me how much imbalances in our body can cause the improper swallow habit we had since childhood.
Thankfully nowadays we know the real cause and can try our best to fix things.
Ps:Working hard with some core workouts almost solved my slight scoliosis back in the days but it occured again when I stopped and just went to gym and weights.
I'm into mewing for 3 months, didn't get fast results. My jaw is still shifted to the left. Gonna try my best anyway.
Hope my experience helps.
@@algor8541 It's good to know I'm not a genetic outlier. My hair isn't just thinner on the right temple; it's thinner all on the left side towards the back aswell. Do you have any other spinal issues? I have multiple.
@@elliot5764 apart from scoliosis? Well, I think there might be some herniated discs. Overall I have tensions all over my back - quite often it's impossible to relax over the night. Tried to do as much pull ups as possible over the years, but it appeared that it doesn't solve my imbalances no matter how hard I try to stick to the right technique. Core exercises do solve them however but only to the certain degree.
Hey i really need your help. I don’t know where my asymmetry lies but it’s too visible that everyone can notice. One side of my face is fully down from eyes to chin and cheek is also flattered and the other side is weird a big cheek
what if i have scoliosis? Can i still improve my facial structure and expand upper palate?
