Bought a new P365 with a born on date of Jan 2019. It has the improved striker (larger radius at the base of firing pin), no scratches on the mags, and no failures to lock back on empty. Wicked easy to shoot and is hitting point of aim. It's now my new carry gun.

Great little gun. Since mid April 2018, I have just under 13,000 rounds through my P365. ZERO problems. it has gone bang with any ammo I have tried. Brass or Aluminum. Multiple brands and grains, FMJ's & JHP's.

No lie, my November 18th built P365 has made my other carry guns obsolete. 1,100 flawless rnds. Initially I thought the "honeymoon phase" made it seem soft shooting, but besides my G3 G19, it's the softest shooting 9mm I own. We all know Glocks are Glocks, but Sig wins with this gun, period.

Yes, SIG fixed the issues already. The primer drag is still showing but they beefed up the firing pin so I'm not worried as my casing doesn't show drag all the way to the brass. I bought mine with a born on date of Dec 2018. This gun has been reliable for me and I love how convenient it is to carry with 11 rounds of 9 mm. Your videos showing 1000 plus rounds proves it. But yet people would still think its unreliable...

Ranger Gun you love Sig that much you will risk your life to carry this gun? I wish it was made correctly and not just fixed on the fly, it needs redesigned not a beefier firing pin. I want to carry this gun but i wont do it. That drag is an accident waiting to happen, it has happened many times.

I think the problem is more along the line of how are these guns having problems out the gates? It takes a youtuber 30 mins to fail some of these guns so what are these big manufacturers doing to test these products before shipping to us lowly "beta testers"

My issue isn’t with specific guns like the P365, but more so that a large number of guns have issues like this from launch. Again, it’s more an issue of the company not completing the product and doing the rest of the testing before release. I get it, there will inevitably be lemons from time to time. That’s okay. But when any company releases a gun with the issues that those glocks, this sig, the recent issues with the Archon type B, it just leaves a sour taste. Still seems like a nice little gun though. At least now that it is probably problem free.

I love my P365. I carry it everyday and have put 500 rounds at the range so far. No issues except for failure to hold slide back but that was because my thicc thumbs were on the slide stop. I do get that extreme primer drag but SIG claims it will not hurt the striker. SIG has a lifetime warranty so that is my safety net.

I just put round number 1000 through my November 2018 P365 about an hour ago. Absolutely zero problems with the gun and it is wicked accurate. Not "wicked accurate for an incredibly small 9mm carry gun"... just wicked accurate, period. But it IS an incredibly small 9mm carry gun and has been my daily carry since December. Kind of incredible having 25 rounds along between the gun and a very small spare mag. Sig did an amazing job building the P365 around a tiny, state-of-the-art magazine. I've been shooting the hell out of mine just to be sure I can trust it and, 1000 rounds later, I definitely do. Love this gun. Pretty sure my Glock 43 has now become a safe dolly.

The striker drag on your gun looks about like what mine does. Clean the striker channel out and the primer drag may improve. Me and a buddy cleaned ours today and the striker channel had too much oil in it and some grease I think? I will see if it improve the little bit of primer drag I get. My primer drag on my gun is like yours. That's really not bad on a micro pistol like this.

I tried out this gun at the range a few days ago. Its soooooo small. For my large hand size it's pretty uncomfortable. I had trouble gripping it and being able to focus on the sights. For conceal carry I could see it being practical if you practice with it enough and are used to it over time to make sure it would be a reliable shooter. I might give it another try next time I'm there because I do like the ability to conceal it so well and still have a 12 round magazine.

My p365 has been reliable and convenient to carry.
Can't wait for Sig to make a full size grip module for their 12 round mag in FDE. We should expect it to come anytime soon like their counterpart p320 with multiple grip modules.
This will make it 12 rounds and still shorter than the Glock 43x.

@@iDeagles that could be any gun. Do you feel the same about glocks and the issues they have had in the past?

    • @iDeagles
      @iDeagles 6 ปีที่แล้ว

@@duanow75 Well I've never owned and don't plan on owning a glock, so I suppose so (sarcasm). Yes other guns have had issues before, usually minor. The company addresses it, free of charge and apologizes. The new versions are tested and are as they should have been initially. However, Sig failed at this. This gun, out the gate, had problems that would lead to it being a paperweight. Then the company decided to say there was no issue. Then they admitted the issue and said only a few were affected (because that's likely). Then they made some changes in the shadows without really mentioning anything. Even after that, the firing pin still drags like a bitch. The fact that they tried to cover the problem didn't make it go away, it only hurt their reputation and trust of their consumers. Is the p365 a good gun? Sure, as long as it works. There are multiple other options in the same category that have been working just fine. Is it worth risking the p365 failing over a couple ounces or a fraction of an inch here or there? The g26 is shorter with both holding 10. The height determines how concealable it is and if the extra .25" width of the frame is too much for someone, they should probably change how they carry. I don't carry either but the point is there are other options about the same size. The p365 isn't some revolutionary masterpiece that you just have to have.

Great video, gents! Mine has a born-on date of January 2, 2019. Really love it, though I can shoot my G19 much more accurately once I get beyond 10 yards. No issues at all, running 800 rounds of FMJ, HP and self-defense rounds so far. I do have the primer drag, it does shoot a little left, and one thing not discussed on the video, my slide release basically takes two thumbs to get it to work! It's REALLY stiff. Not sure if that is an issue on mine alone, or if that is a common issue? Anyway, it's definitely taken over as my every day carry.

Glock May be one of the most reliable automatic striker fire handguns and I like my 19 just had it jam twice over 20+yrs and thousands of rounds but I’ve been shooting my S&W 38spl Revolver for 41yrs without a single problem of any kind besides a couple old rounds that had the hammer strike on the primer that didn’t fire. People talking about reliability issues with the Sigs but it does seem Sig has addressed the issues. Also no mechanical devise will ever be 100% over an extended amount of time but the chances of it failing at the exact time you have to defend your life is only a fraction of 1%,. There’s a higher probability of having 2 bad rounds out of a box of ammo stacked on top of your mag. Even S&W Revolvers will break a hammer pin on rare occasion and it’s the most reliable design ever manufactured, people just can’t get past only being able to carry 6 or 7 rounds.

A bit late here but yes. They changed it to a "chisel" shape. So it leaves more of a line than a pin like most do, but it is intentional. Mind you, it leaves a straight across line now, rather than a drag.

I rented one of these from the range, bought 100 rounds of MagTech 9mm 115 grain ammo - had three malfunctions over the course of those two boxes, one failure to eject and two failures to feed. Don't know if I was handling the gun wrong because I'm not used to tiny subcompacts, or if it didn't like the ammo, or if the range gun was just really abused (it did feel very loose and the mag didn't seem to be seated tightly in the well) or some combination of those factors, but I was really surprised about that. Was thinking about buying one but that really turned me off.
