I am really happy with my current recipe thanks to Molly's Artistry. I do not follow Molly's recipe exactly, but I will say if cost were not a factor I would. Thank you Molly!

    Thank you for sharing. Question: Will this work with black paint as well?

    • @artwithval6718
      @artwithval6718  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are some blacks that definitely make a difference or give you a different reaction than others. Arteza is one of my favorites but I believe the Golden brand will also give you better results however it is quite expensive. Keep in mind that your reaction will also be based on the other types of paint you are using and that is a toss-up because I've used some very cheap paints just to play around and gotten awesome results so unfortunately I can't give you the one and done answer. My advice is don't be afraid to play. You can swipe you canvas if you don't like it but when I've taken the time to do that and keep notes I've come up with some of the best combinations for me personally. Happy painting!

    Hello..☺️so I have a question.. when using base paints ( recipe) if I wanted to change the color, would I just add to your base paint?

    • @artwithval6718
      @artwithval6718  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Jennifer! If I understand your question correctly you are asking about changing the color of the "pillow" base paint that I was testing in this video? I would say that you could add other colors to your White House paint or buy it in other colors etc. and you should get similar results because it is the type of paint that gives the result but I have not tested that so if I were you I would buy a smaller amount and have them color it for you and just play with it. Let me know how it works out for you!

    What is shelf life of your mixture

    • @artwithval6718
      @artwithval6718  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! I can't give you a definate time of expiration but I can tell you I have used a base that I had mixed over a year prior and I've had no problems. I do run anything that's been sitting for a bit through a strainer though because it's a real bummer when you get that piece you really like but it's got globs in it but otherwise you should be fine.

    Hello. I’m sure you have figured out by now that Home Depot does not carry Valspar paint. Valspar is a Lowe’s brand of paint. You can also use H&D 100% acrylic deck paint from sherwin Williams as your pillow.

    • @artwithval6718
      @artwithval6718  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, no Valspar near me. There is Sherwin Williams though, thank you!

    Thank you for sharing your recipes. Once you have it mix, how many parts of paint do you add for the pouring medium and the Silicone pouring medium? If it is obvious I am sorry. Very new at this and appreciate the leg up in learning.

    Sorry but you're extremely hard to listen to It's not just you, haven't you noticed that the artists with the most subscribers DO NOT SPEAK !! They do demonstrations & when they have something to say, they type out the sentences on screen... Just check out the # of subscribers artists have, there,s no talkers like Jay Lee with MILLIONs and talkers like you with LESS than 1,000.... by the way I wanted to watch your demonstration but you drone on and on and on and you didn't say anything.... SMH

      It's really hard listening to someone who says "uhm uhm uhm" every other word.😢
      Silence is Golden instead of saying uhm every other word.
      I don't mind the talking/spoken directions unless uhm is in there...
