    I have just recently discovered these amazing techniques in painting. I do not know why it has taken so long. I have been viewing many videos from many artists. I appreciate your very explicit directions for each step. I take note on everyone's techniques and recipes, but really appreciate your repetition and clear directions. I have been gradually stocking up on necessary supplies and am almost ready to begin. I simply can't get over the beauty of these techniques. LOVE them! Thank you. I am a special education teacher at high school level, who uses many art forms for hands on opportunities as my students discover their passion and skills. Could I use decoart duraclear (it's a polyurethane) instead of minwax polycrylic? I hate spending too much money in the beginning, when I'm trying to learn a new technique. Would I get the same results? I love those blooms. They are beautiful. I hope I can do that.

    Love the video. I have looked at many recipes, think I like this one the best. Do you have to prep the tiles with anything or just use as is. They are so slick I'm not sure the paint will stick. Also, what do you put on the back of the tiles.

    • @RhondasTriRRRtistry
      @RhondasTriRRRtistry  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do t prep the tiles and I do t out anything in the back. I let them dry on top of bottle tops from my iced team bottles. 😜 then they just drop and I scrape them off if needed the next time I use them. The paint doesn’t slide off the tile. It works great!!!

    Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial. It couldn’t be much clearer than that. I was wondering, though, and this may be an odd question but do you need to blow by mouth or can a mini blower be used. I don’t suppose spit plays a part in the chemical reaction?? I know, weird question, but if you don’t ask, you don’t know.

    • @RhondasTriRRRtistry
      @RhondasTriRRRtistry  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      you can use a mini blower...I just dont' have one. :) Spit does not play into it...at least I think. HAHAHA!

    Can you tell me what you use to put your spinner in so the paint doesn't go flying everywhere? I work in my dining room so I really can't spin things out properly because I can't have paint going all over the place. Thank you 🙂

    very good video. explained it very easily. thanks for sharing what you do. (note, people calling it a chemical reason, but its really just a matter of physics due to the consistency and right mixtures, not chemical reaction but a physics result.) all's good though. again. thanks for sharing.

    • @RhondasTriRRRtistry
      @RhondasTriRRRtistry  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the info! Im not sure if I said "chemical reason" this is an older video but you are correct...it has to do with physics and it does have to do with what projects are used within each mix and the different thicknesses. I think people say Chemical reaction becuase for some products it looks almost instatinious which people view as a chemical reacation rather than a physical reaction. I think people just love to paint and the reaction is very cool!

    • @MommaBearsCorner
      @MommaBearsCorner ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RhondasTriRRRtistry yea. cell activation, chemical reaction. i guess does not matter really. its called such by so many now. just mention to let new people know that "those" are based on mathematics vs a product alone is all. and vs learning what products do vs mix vs outcome. just terms really. not a biggie. knowing and practicing enough can be 2 different things. that;s me still learning those techniques. in flow art LOL but i work around several obstacles so takes me much longer in practice of it all. anyway, you do great work. turns out very pretty. so thanks for sharing. I appreciate.

    Hi There! What a great, detailed, and PERFECT tutorial!!! :D I have a question, if you donmt mind answeing possible?? 😬Do you think it would be okay to use the sw in base b? i accidentally grabbed that instead of the c and was just wondering if you would recommend using it (i heard yiou say something about their ARE other bases you can use but wasnt sure if you were referring to brands or the base itself) or do you think it would dull my colors too much?? i dont live anywhere near the store i bought it or near any store at all that sells the stuff for that matter, so i could take it back and really really just wanna dive right in to trying this? thankk you for this GREAT tutorial!! it helped me sooo sooo much!!! you have no idea!! I also just acquired about 4 ozs of aussie floetrol that im DIEING to TRY it out but of course, i do not want to waste a single drop of that liquid gold!!! lol! TIA!! and thank you again for such a great in depth tutorial!

    I followed your recipe to the letter and for some reason, mine didnt just crack, it seperated! It was one of the prettiest blooms i had ever done. I am heart broken. What did i do wrong? I made sure everything was measured and stirred well. Do yours do that?

    • @RhondasTriRRRtistry
      @RhondasTriRRRtistry  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      On no…I’m so sorry. It is my favorite formula to use. So let’s isolate each element. Was there a fan near by in your drying area? Or a vent from the air conditioner? That’s first step. If the top drys too fast then that can cause really bad cracks.

    Is there any reason why you can’t use a straw for blowing this out? Thx for the info!

    • @RhondasTriRRRtistry
      @RhondasTriRRRtistry  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are very welcome! Nope,no reason. In fact, many artist use straws. You can also use a blow dryer or an air sprayer what ever works for you!

  • @davidsewell4239

    Really inspiring work and beautiful results. I'm not sure how the products you use for cell activation translate to the products available here in the UK - I'll need to do some research. Just wondered though....the layers of paint appear quite thick. Is there no danger of cracks appearing as they dry? Total novice here, so apologies if it's a daft question.

    • @RhondasTriRRRtistry
      @RhondasTriRRRtistry  ปีที่แล้ว

      No apologies necessary! It is a GREAT question. The paints are thicker and if you don’t spin off enough of the paint it can indeed crack. So you do want to make sure you stretch the paint either by tilting or spinning it off. Thanks for watching and ask any questions you have. That’s how you learn! Take care

    I know you did the instructions in great detail, but I'm still confused. The mixture 3 part swgbc and 1 part minwax pollcrylic clear gloss. Is this your pouring medium? If so, why do you add minwax to your color paints first? I have all of your ingredients except the glue. What could I use instead? Thank you for your videos.

    • @RhondasTriRRRtistry
      @RhondasTriRRRtistry  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes 3 parts SWBC with the 1 Part Minwax. That’s the medium for the color paints then I add that 1 to 1 with the paint. So the medium is one part and the paint is one part. I only add a little more minwax if the paint is too thick. I hope that makes sense. And the Glue…I have used floetrol instead. Try that and see how it turns out. Let me know if you have any more questions. 🥰

    Hi. Why you won't use a blow dryer?

    • @RhondasTriRRRtistry
      @RhondasTriRRRtistry  ปีที่แล้ว

      I do sometimes. They both work. It all depends on what I’m wanting to do at the moment. I tend to blow with my mouth for a small tile and then the hair dryer in a larger canvas and a larger puddle of paint. .

    Will you do one using pigments?

    • @RhondasTriRRRtistry

      Ives tried a number of cell activators and this is my favorite with American floetrol.
      Cell Activators (CA) #3: THIS IS THE ONE I USED in this Video
      3 Parts American Floetrol
      1 Part Glue-All
      1 Part Amsterdam Paint (any color)
      3-6 drops of Minwax Polycrylic Wood Conditioner - Clear Gloss
      I will sometime but won’t have a video with pigments in the next few weeks. But that is a great idea and will have to do one soon. Thanks!!!

    I think I got it now. The swbc paint has no color in it. If it had white added to it, the colors of your paints would change and lighten. That's why I was confused. This recipe is your PM ✅️ and you use it 1-1 with your acrylic paints. I am using liqudex basic paints right now. Thank you for your help.❤
