Very much appreciated, just brought a 1984 s10 with a 1.9 doing my research and more like you did in the vid. Would appreciate any extra help you know. FYI I don’t swaps I’m just a Honda guy and know nothing of Chevy but having a good time learning about s10/s15 not the Silvia but the Sonoma haha 😂

What fans are you running? I’m impressed you were able to clear everything with the truck accessories without notching the core support for the radiator
To be honest, I have no idea. I pulled them off my 86 Camaro that I put together in 07. I'm surprised they still worked. I don't think there is no marking on them but I will look and see soon.
Looked but couldn't find no markings on the fans. Sorry.
@@howididitgarage. no worries! I read that others were using F-body Camaro fans and those seem to work pretty well. We’ll see what kind of clearances I get
Hey man, thanks for the video. I’m working on a gen 1 myself. Did you have any clearance issues with the hood and the truck intake??
The intake didn't not hit. The vortec cover did. I also had to cut a hole in my hood for air intake. But that's because the size and how I ran the air intake. When running air intake need to think about IAT(intake air temp). The IAT will affect performance.

Looking for knowledge on dash cluster after 5.3 swap. For factory wiring keep all old engine harness or remove? Wondering the speedo gauge and others ? Building a 89 extended s15 2wd
Il be honest, I can’t remember off the top of my head. Will have to look. Probably make another video soon about the swap.
I do remember I couldn’t get the oil gauge to work right and got a mechanical gauge. Mine is also a 92 and had the tail shaft speed sensor which made speed gage easier. Temp I used Camaro sensor from 93 Camaro I think.
I used the ICT p/s and alt. Bracket to gain clearance on the p/s pulley and steering box. It ended up still being real tight. How close is yours?
Close. I started grinding the bolt down a little on the power steering box. After that I readjust the motor up on that side a little and that gave me the room I needed. For the most part the motor should rock towards passger side. My way of thinking.

That upper hose ever hit the alternator pully yet?
Yes! I need to support the radiator or/and try to pice together another hose. That is three different hoes together to make the bends I needed.

Yes, the drivers side is tight with steering and booster but does fit.
Stock s10 yoke got into a 60e?
Mine went in there. I didn't count the teeth or anything. Had in there for about year and half now. If your doing the same thing I would count the teeth and make sure.
The old five speed out of the s10 that was hooked up to the 2.5 is 27. After just now doing some research on Google it says the 4l60e has 27 spline out put shaft has well.
Famg I thought it would be a lot easier than that
