IM IN THE PROCESS OF DOING THIS , spent 4 hrs just getting engine and stock tranny in there. Its very tight to get oil pan over the frame with back of engine up against firewall. then similar problem getting clamshell by the motor mount on frame. then to top it off only one bolt hole lines up so far. looks like my fancy amazon motor mounts are out a little and i will need to dremel the holes bigger on one side. oh and plan on taking a wheel off and goin at it from the side cuz my hoist was about a foot short of being able to drop it in from the front. also had to trim tranny support so it can slide in there easily. hopefully i have enough clearance the hood will close ?
On my car, the alternator rubbed the hood but not enough to push it up. The hood still shut fine. I'm going to work on answering all of your questions. Just give me a little time.
howdy doodoo, Its easy, you put them in the toilet, (no turds), sit on the lid so the cat can't escape, and flush the toilet a few times. When you're done simply stand up, and your squeaky clean cat will spring out like a jack in the box! 😁👍🏻
Yes I did. Actually the only thing you need to do to get it to start is have the anti-theft deleted. After that it's good to go. The cheapest person I've found to do it was the guy that runs the lt1swap.com website. I use efilive and it cost quite a bit to do it.
@@DivineSpeed I have a 94 Chevy Caprice it's more to it then just putting a ls swapped motor in it because this guy is telling me I just need the wires from the motor I don't need to change the wire hornest or motor mounts is that true or no?
Hey while I got you here I have a question for you. I currently have a 283 Chevy that's in an A body El Camino. I have the big bellhousing on it I have big flywheel big clutch and I have a Tremec TKO 600. All I did was slip the T10 out. Do you think that whole setup will work with the LS1? It's out of a 2003 Chevy Silverado. Thanks for your time
I really couldn't say because I don't know those transmissions well enough. I want to say the T10 uses a 10 spline input and the tremec uses a 26 spline. I'm sure the bellhousings are different. I know you can make it work but I just couldn't tell you how.
Hey man im having trouble getting my 5.3 ls installed in 84 cutlass g body. did you use headers or stock manifolds , cuz my stock manifolds are hitting driver side frame rail and area with brake aportioning manifold which the tranny gear changer lever is attached to.
The best part about an LS Swap is all of the hurt feelings when I lift the hood of my old Ford.
The Go Fast Garage LOL!!
Nice!
oh hey this guy lol
Thank you for my new channel. Looking forward to your builds
I have the same car. 84 GPLJ Trying to do the same swap. Glad I found this. Gonna have me smoking tires in no time.
Derrick Chambers I still need to wire it but Yea its really not a hard swap. I had a turbo on it last year

thats aweome 400 bucks .. the engine alone is worth it
Oh yea it was a no brainer. I just made a really low offer and they took the cash.
first commented 5 months ago now im back cause i got a g body and need to see what to do :-)
I really need to revisit some of this stuff and shorten these videos up. Make them more to the point. I appreciate you giving it a look.... again.
How did it go bro did you do the install? Just installed a 5.3 In my 80 regal
Lol same here! 87 cutlass
Being a pro drag racer and part time mechanic how do you have time to keep your cat looking that clean
Took years of practice. I could teach you but I'd have to charge.

What power steering bracket did you use? I modified the stock the one to clear the steering box but at full throttle it snaps my belt off
The factory silverado bracket.

That truck was pretty cool.
I knew that truck looked familiar, I saw it at the Southern Classic
Ethan Jones I'm glad someone caught that
Wouldn't hold all 400 cases of Coors tho, so it had to be re-purposed.
what kind of jump box you using, that little box seems bad ass?
Jason Skinner I must have missed that. I dont remember using a jumper box.
Can you use the old school bellhousing ?
You absolutely can but you'll only be able to use 5 out of the 6 bolts. People do it all the time. I've done it several times
Liked and subbed
I appreciate it. I really like that 50 Chevy you have.
U live in the san antonio area
I'm in Indiana

How does the LM7 run?
It's ok. It survived 20 psi with twin turbos, nitrous and meth injection

I had to look it up. I've seen one episode of that and forgot all about that character.
You calling your G body bill gates made me think of Dr. Steve. 😄
