Chain looks tight. Mine was to tight from factory.

I usually use simply a brush dip in some petrol and the chain turns perfect .

How many miles is it suggested you do this...is it based on the owners manual suggestion?

I’m going to try to do this every 600 miles but I could probably wait longer since my bike stays pretty clean. I’ve heard a variety of suggestions (every 2 weeks, every 400 to 800 miles, every 750 to 1000 miles). It does make a difference. I could tell this morning that it was smoother. It’s one of the best things you can do for your motorcycle.

P.S. Episode 2 where I put it on spools and the bike stand is coming. Had to delete and re-post.

@@ridingwithgravity401 Wow that's a broad range of suggestions for mileage tuning, I wonder if some owner's manuals list when/if to do it depending on manufacturer. Narrowed down my bike choice to this one and Royal Enfield's new Scram 411! 😁

Svartpilen manual has the service intervals but is limited to first 1000km (620 miles) and then jumps to the major intervals like every 7,500 km (4650 miles), so it doesn’t specifically address frequency of cleaning the chain. I talked to people and did a lot of Googling before landing on 600 for me.

@@ridingwithgravity401 Right on, I definitely need to find some good motorcycle mentors.
