Seems like the dice plays a much more important role in 2v2s... Specially those 7s early game
Yeah this was pretty brutal. The dice are always a big factor in Catan but when you're playing 2v2 and only one team is producing resources it can be over very quickly.

In 2v2 when you play back-to-back seems like trying to situate it so you push the second player to the win is probably more effective. Maybe the first player is the one with the useful port.
100% agree with this idea. I think Tonty and I discuss this during one of our games, but perhaps that discussion happened between games and it doesn't appear in the videos I've uploaded. Definitely remember that discussion and I also recall listening back to it while I was editing...
Ports are probably a bit more situational. Generally speaking they're probably less important in the 2v2 game but I reckon that if you're feeding the second player the win, having the extra cards on their turn to be able to port would also make sense.

But also seems like ports are way less useful in 2v2 in general.
